Chapter 16 Are You Not in Pain?

"He likes you so much, of course, he doesn't want you to worry about him! Can't you see that?" Elisa sneered, noticing Hillary pressing on Simon's leg, and spoke with a serious face: "His legs are already congested. If you press for ten minutes, he will probably have to sit in a wheelchair for several more months."
Hillary was scared and immediately let go. She also gave Elisa an angry look while Simon's condition worsened after the hospital examination. This time, he couldn't even sit in a wheelchair and was asked by the doctor to rest in bed.
"When can he recover? Can he return to normal?" Hillary asked the doctor.
Elisa wanted to laugh. If it weren't for her being chased by Hillary earlier, would Simon's condition have worsened? And now all Hillary cared about was whether Simon could recover or not!
So right in front of Simon, Elisa directly asked sharply:
"Sister, why do you ask this? What if he can't recover? Will you leave him or abandon him?"
Hillary turned pale at once and her eyes were full of anger as if she wanted to eat her alive.
"What nonsense are you talking about! No matter how injured Simon is, I will never leave him!"
She then sat down beside Simon and held his hand affectionately while explaining: "Simon, don’t listen to what Elisa said just now. I'm just worried about your injury."
"Okay," said Simon without suspicion. To be precise, he didn’t care what she had said at all.
He kept looking at Elisa whose injured arm was still bleeding outside...
"Oh yeah sister," said Elisa suddenly breaking the silence between them before continuing: "Didn’t you envy me taking care of Simon earlier? Since you're here today anyway why don’t YOU take care of him for 24 hours? As his sister, I won't compete with you."
Elisa didn’t want to continue standing there and watching Hillary's pretentious appearance. After speaking, she lifted her leg and was about to leave.
For Hillary, this was an opportunity to take care of Simon up close. She wanted it badly but Simon refused first.
"Elisa, it’s not convenient for you to take care of me while I'm bedridden now. If you have time, just come over and accompany me," said Simon.
Hillary unwillingly held his hand and coquettishly asked: "Simon, do you think I can't take care of people as well as Elisa?"
"Of course not. I'm afraid that it will tire you out..."
In the end, Hillary was persuaded by him because she couldn’t resist Simon's charm. She leaned on his chest and said: "Take good care of yourself; I'll come see you tomorrow."
"Okay, go back early too."
Watching the tenderness in his eyes made Hillary feel moved so she leaned forward to kiss him.
Standing at the door though was Elisa who turned her face away very consciously when they kissed each other.
What she didn't know was that Simon avoided Hillary's intimacy in time because he hated such a strong scent from perfume like hers.
Immediately after that came a warning from Hillary before leaving: "I advise you not to have any ideas about him or else..."
"Don't worry; I'm not interested in someone who belongs to you," replied Elisa looking straight into her eyes.
After Hillary left though, Simon called her over again.
Knowing that he would start pointing fingers at her again soon enough, Elisa looked at him obediently.
Instead of talking though he pulled her arm which caused a large piece of skin to be scraped off.
Blood mixed with dirt together making it hard for them both to see how deep the wound was.
"Aren't you in pain?" Simon looked at her with a hint of pity in his eyes.
