Chapter 32 Taking Care of His Wife
This time, Hillary was truly enraged. She grabbed Elisa's neck with such force that Elisa could hardly breathe.
"Do you still dare to threaten me? Don't try to smear my name. If you dare say a word to him, I have thousands of ways to make your life miserable!"
It wasn't until Elisa's face turned blue from being choked that Hillary finally let go.
In Elisa's eyes, Hillary was like an easily angered mad dog who would vent her anger on anyone at the slightest provocation!
While gasping for air, Elisa shouted loudly towards the door, "Simon!"
Seeing that she really called out his name, Hillary became a little scared again and covered her mouth tightly while gritting her teeth and lowering her voice: "Do you want to die?"
Ignoring her threats, Elisa continued shouting loudly. In the end, Hillary fled in fear of being discovered by Simon.
After she left, Elisa finally breathed a sigh of relief. During those few moments just now, she had been afraid that Hillary would choke her to death.
When Diana heard about signs of miscarriage from Elisa’s pregnancy symptoms, she rushed over anxiously with two caregivers.
"Hillary, the first few months of pregnancy are dangerous periods and require proper care for your health. You should move into Simon's room so I can take care of both of you."
Elisa was surprised because, after all, the child in her womb did not belong to The Iverson family at all.
"It’s okay Diana, I'm fine..."
Without giving any chance for refusal, Diana directly pushed the bed with two caregivers into Simon's room.
As soon as they arrived at the door, Simon shot them a sharp look,"What are you doing?"
"Of course, it is putting both of you together so I can take care more conveniently."
Diana settled down with Elisa without intending to ask her son's opinion.
Moreover, isn't it normal for a couple to live in the same room?
What puzzled Elisa was that Simon didn't object either. He just didn't bother looking at her again.
"Simon, this is chicken soup." Diana handed the thermos to Simon.
He pushed it away without hesitation,"I told you I don’t eat this stuff."
"Who said this is for you? This is for your wife. Hurry up and feed her." Diana forced the item into his hand.
"I should feed her? Doesn't she have hands?" Simon glared at her as if he was being forced to do something unpleasant. After all, she was carrying someone else’s child; why should he be feeding her?
But Diana did not know any better and continued giving orders: "Go ahead! Practice taking care of your wife!"
Under Diana's pressure, Simon had no choice but to get up and walk towards Elisa. With a bang, he placed the thermos on Elisa's table.
Elisa knew that he was being coerced so she took over herself: "Diana, I'm not used to having others feed me. I'll drink it myself."
"Don't indulge him. It's such a small matter; he can definitely handle it."
Despite Elisa’s objections, Diana still put the bowl of chicken soup in Simon’s hand and stared at him expectantly.
Elisa saw his unwilling expression as if he would throw the soup on her face any second now. But surprisingly, Simon fed her spoonful by spoonful. Elisa had never been fed like this before in all these years of living. She felt warm inside while drinking hot chicken soup with steam rising from its surface. Simon remained responsible even though Diana left earlier. He reminded Eliza about their kiss that day, and asked coldly:
"You two sisters look alike.I wasn’t feeling well that day and thought you were Elisa."
Seeing her silence, Simon added: "You don't think I kissed you because I like you, do you? Don't be delusional. I'm not interested..."
"Then how come you didn’t mistake my sister for someone else when having a one-night stand with her?" Elisa blurted out.
