Chapter 27 Abortion

The two of them confronted each other in the hospital room, unaware that there were already two pairs of ears outside the door listening to their conversation.
"Elisa is pregnant! What are we going to do now, Mom?" Hillary lowered her voice and stomped her feet in anger.
Margaret didn't expect that after just one night, Elisa would actually become pregnant with Simon's child. After thinking for a moment, she took Hillary's hand and said, "Don't worry too much. It's not necessarily a bad thing that this girl got pregnant at this time."
"How is it, not a bad thing? She's carrying Simon's child! If he finds out..."
"Just don't let him find out. Besides, Elisa doesn't even know who the father is. As long as we insist that she got pregnant from having sex with another man, are you afraid Simon won't dump her?"
Margaret smirked confidently. She didn't believe that Elisa could outsmart them.
"That makes sense," Hillary agreed reluctantly. "But the child is still a danger to us. If it really gets born and they want to do a paternity test...it'll be easy to prove."
"We can deal with Elisa later," Margaret narrowed her eyes and thought about how to handle both Elisa and her unborn child.
Suddenly there was a loud noise in the hospital room. Just when Elisa was about to storm out of the room, Simon grabbed her wrist and pushed her down onto the bed.
"Whose child is it?"
"What does it matter to you? As long as it's not yours!"
Simon exuded an icy chill as he had originally planned on letting Elisa go but couldn't swallow his pride after seeing how arrogant she had been earlier.
"If it isn’t mine then whose could it be? The guy who picked you up during the daytime, Robert Brown?"
Elisa widened her eyes in surprise. "What are you talking about?"
"I'm making it up? Then why are you so nervous? It looks like I hit the nail on the head."
Simon's eyes were filled with hatred as he tightened his grip on her.
"Hillary, you're still my fiancée. How could you have sex with someone else?"
"We haven't even gotten married yet! If you don't let go of me now, I'll call the police!"
"We may not be officially married yet but your behavior is unacceptable! You're insulting the Iverson family!"
Elisa's hands were turning red from being squeezed tightly but Simon couldn't feel her pain and continued to press down on her.
Suddenly she stopped struggling and stared at him provocatively.
"Simon, could it be that you can’t stand that I'm carrying another man's child because...you've fallen for me?"
Her words jolted Simon out of his thoughts and he panicked. Taking advantage of his momentary distraction, Elisa quickly broke free and ran out of the room.
Simon reacted quickly this time and grabbed onto her collar.
"What do you want to do?" Hillary was truly angry now and shouted loudly.
"Abort," Simon said bluntly.
"And if I refuse?"
"Then I'll personally find your child's father Robert and have a talk with him!"
