Chapter 35 Don't Bother Them Anymore
Hillary turned around in surprise and found that Simon's mother had come to find her again. "Diana... is there something you need from me?" Hillary thought, didn't she just scold herself enough earlier?
After all, Diana was quite old and had a good eye for people. She didn't have a good impression of this girl at first sight because her eyes were not as clear and pure as Elisa's; they seemed full of schemes.
"Although you are Hillary's sister, she needs to rest during this period. It would be better if you visit her less." Diana believed in her own eyesight; the woman just now definitely wanted to do something to her daughter-in-law.
Hillary was really surprised. Why did she dislike herself so much? "Also, no matter what Simon says now, he is still your brother-in-law. You should avoid suspicion. I've seen it several times - you secretly went to see him."
Diana stared straight at Hillary with sharp eyes and asked: "Do you have any other intentions toward our Simon?"
Hillary was speechless when asked this question. Should she say yes or no at this moment? Now that Diana regarded Elisa as her daughter-in-law wholeheartedly, how could she replace her later?
"You don't speak up; it seems like it's true..."
"No, Diana please don’t misunderstand." This was the only explanation Hillary could give right now.
Diana smiled satisfactorily and patted Hillary on the shoulder saying: "Okay then, I hope as you said before that you won’t disturb them anymore."
Hillary bit down on her lip tightly but eventually nodded in agreement.
Nowadays they lived together in one ward while Elisa was pregnant under their care. If she doesn't come often enough wouldn’t everything originally belonging to her be taken by that dead girl Elisa?
No, she couldn't just give up her position like this!
Thinking of this, she pinched herself hard on the hand and then tearfully called Simon.
"Hello, Simon... I want to see you..."
Simon heard her crying over the phone and thought someone had bullied her. He rushed over immediately. When Hillary saw Simon, she cried and threw herself into his arms as if she had suffered a great grievance.
"Simon, I'm afraid I can't come to see you anymore."
"What happened?" Simon frowned and grabbed her red arm that was pinched by herself. "What's going on?"
Hillary continued to complain even more after hearing him ask: "Hillary said that now you are my brother-in-law so I should avoid suspicion. She also teamed up with your mother accusing me of bothering your marriage but it is clearly me who you will marry! How could they say such things about me..."
"My mother knows about you too?" Simon interrupted her words.
"Yes, Auntie seems to dislike me very much and asked me to stay away from you. Is there something wrong with what I did? "
When it came time for an emotional outburst, Hillary's tears fell down making her look even more pitiful.
But what Simon said next shocked her so much that she forgot how sad she was before: "Then...it would be better if we don’t meet each other often during this period."
