Chapter 37 It's Time to Call Her Mom
After returning to the ward, Elisa still felt uneasy about Hillary's behavior just now. If Diana hadn't appeared, she really didn't know what Hillary would have done to her...
Thinking of this, Elisa couldn't help but protect her small belly. Now not only Simon but also Hillary saw this child as a thorn in their eyes.
"Hey, Margaret, what's up?"
Diana suddenly received a call from Margaret and Elisa looked at her in horror.
Then she heard Diana ask strangely, "What did you say? You want to take Hillary back?"
Elisa's heart sank. If they took her back home, it would be easier for them to deal with both herself and the baby!
No way! She didn't want that!
Simon had just returned after sending Hillary back home and he immediately noticed Elisa sitting on the bed trembling as if scared.
In broad daylight like this, why was she shaking so much? Was she pretending to be pitiful again?
"What are you doing?" Simon went over and grabbed her shoulder. "What trick are you planning this time?"
"I don't want it! I don't want to go back..."
Elisa looked at him helplessly with tears of fear in her eyes. She wanted Diana to refuse Margaret but was too afraid to speak up.
Diana finally had a grandson and naturally wouldn’t let Elisa out of sight.
"Margaret, Hillary is living well with us at The Iverson Family’s house. Why do you want her back? Do you think we're treating her badly... What? Are you afraid that two people being together will harm the child? Don’t worry; our Simon won’t be so foolish... Rest assured that I treat Hillary like my own daughter; let her stay here."
Naturally Diana refused Margaret’s request.
Elisa didn't know the result of their conversation and anxiously asked Diana, "Diana, is my mother going to take me back home?"
"Why go back? You stay well with us at The Iverson Family. I will definitely take good care of you."
Diana gently touched her face. "Also, don’t call me Diana anymore; it's time to call me Mom."
Elisa blushed suddenly. How could she say that...
But she was still glad that Diana didn't agree to let her go home because Margaret and her daughter might bully her again.
Simon looked at her with a cold gaze and sneered when he saw how relieved she was. "Are you so afraid of going home?"
It wasn't just fear; that house was like a nightmare for her.
"It's none of your business." Elisa turned away stubbornly and returned the unlimited card to Diana.
"Diana, I really can't accept this card, nor do I need it. Please take it back."
"I hid it under your pillow; how did you find out? Hillary, we're all family here; don’t be so polite."
Simon frowned beside them. Wasn’t this his mother secretly giving the card?
Seeing that Elisa felt embarrassed about accepting it, Diana didn't insist but said seriously,
"If there’s anything you need in the future, make sure to ask us for help okay? Hillary dear, you’re too obedient and sensible."
Elisa smiled and nodded in agreement. She knew very well that only crying children would get candy.
Then she looked at Simon and said word by word,"Simon, now you see right? This card isn’t something I wanted."
He accused himself wrongly! Elisa remembered everything!
Simon felt awkward as he hadn't expected his mother to be so generous.
"Simon? What do you mean by this? Are you saying Hillary mainly asks us for money?" Diana's eyes glared at him with killing intent.
