Chapter 47 Neglected

Elisa sat up suddenly, realizing that she had dreamt about the night when she was taken.

What's more important is that the man in her dream looked exactly like Simon!

She shook her head in frustration, thinking that she must be crazy. Not only did she have a wet dream, but the male lead was also Simon...

Covering herself with a blanket and feeling restless, Elisa made up her mind not to have such dreams again.

As for why she dreamed of Simon... it must be because he was always around her!

At the same time, at the Brooks family home, Hillary returned angrily and threw her bag on the table.

"What happened Hillary? Didn't you go see Simon today? Did he not meet you?" Margaret came out curiously upon hearing noise.

Hillary got angry as soon as this topic came up. When they were together earlier, Simon said he would take a shower while Hillary waited for him on bed wearing sexy suspenders. After half an hour of waiting, he finally emerged from his shower fully dressed and told her that he had to attend a meeting at work and asked if she could wait for him at their hotel room instead. She waited all day until nightfall without seeing him but received only one text message from him saying "I'm too tired after meetings all day so I went back home already. My driver will send you back."

"He's playing me!" Hillary fumed with anger. She spent so much time dressing up nicely just to get ignored by him like this?

Margaret was surprised to hear that Simon left Hillary alone like this without any progress between them.

"So nothing substantial happened between you two?"

"No! He didn't even let me kiss him," replied Hillary anxiously.

"That shouldn't be happening since he said he likes you and wants to marry you! Why can't things move forward?" Margaret also became anxious. "Could it be that he's already satisfied with someone else and doesn't want you anymore?"

From what Simon said about being responsible for her, he didn't seem like the type to cheat on her.

The only explanation was that there must be another woman in his heart, which is why he couldn't accept Hillary!

"Elisa! It must be that wretched girl! She's living with the Iverson family now, right? She must have said something to Simon to make him reject me!" Margaret thought she had a point and suggested they go see what this wretched girl has been up to at the Iverson family tomorrow.

The next morning, as Simon was preparing to go downstairs for breakfast, he heard some noise coming from downstairs. Then a familiar figure appeared before him with some complaints.

"Simon, why did you leave me alone yesterday?" It was Hillary again. Surprisingly enough, Simon didn't want to see her.

As Hillary excitedly tried to hug him when she got close enough, Simon immediately stepped back several steps and reminded her: "My parents are still at home so let's keep our distance."

It was rejection after rejection!

But Hillary couldn't get impatient; all she could do was maintain a safe distance from him.

"Simon, Diana is catching up with my mom downstairs so we won’t be disturbed for a while. Why don’t I come sit in your room for a bit?" She then tried pushing open the door behind Simon directly.

"No way!" With great forcefulness, Simon grabbed hold of her wrist tightly. His action made Hillary even more suspicious - it’s just entering a room; why would he react like this?

Could it be true that he really lived together with Elisa?
