The Elementals: Chapter 18 Submission
“I missed you last night, but I have to say, I enjoyed the photos you sent” Sky says as he picks me up. I freeze in panic having no recollection of any photos sent or anything after the second round of tequila shots for that matter.
“Photos?” I ask feeling the blush rise in my cheeks as Sky hands me his phone and I scroll through the photos of me and Rain in our Ski masks and lingerie cringing at the ridiculous poses we are doing and groaning.
“I think its funny and quite sexy too” Sky says taking his phone back before I can delete them.
“Well at least we stayed in so I didn’t embarrass myself publicly. Plus I managed to catch up on some uni work this morning because I wasn’t completely hungover.” I say triumphantly.
As we enter the Karate studio, we are greeted my Mr Elm cleaning up the studio which looks like something exploded in it. “Ember is having a little difficulty controlling her power. Fire is a dangerous and volatile element which is the hardest to control. She will be training alone for a while, I suggest you two train together.” Mr Elm says.
“I found fire easy enough to control” I say and am greeted by two questioning looks which I realise means I didn’t tell them about that part of my escape so I explain further.
“Having two elemental powers is very rare, I will need to investigate it further. In the meantime do not use fire unless you absolutely have to. Do you understand?” Mr Elm asks
“Sure, I have only done it once anyway, maybe it was a fluke.” I say trying to shrug it off.
Sky and I leave to train ourselves, collecting my props and setting in all up in our secluded spot.
“Ok, fight me.” Sky says.
“Shouldn't we practice first?” I ask.
“The hunters didn’t give you time to practice, we need to train in combat to protect ourselves properly. So fight me, don’t hold back” Sky says.
“Oh, I won’t” I reply, launching a ball of earth at him which he only just dodges. Sky shoves me back with air and I fly backwards until I burry my own feet in the ground to stop me. I manage to lift and hurl rocks at him which he dodges by levitating upwards, but he doesn’t notice when I manage to make a tree branch swing around, making him smack his head. Sky falls back down to the ground and uses air to push me forward this time, catching me off guard and making me fall to the ground. Now that we are closer, I take a swing at him with my fists which he blocks and returns with a kick that I dodge. I land a kick to his stomach, making him grunt and he sweeps under my feet making me fall on my back. Before I can get back up, Sky is on top of me, his legs straddling my body and his hands pinning mine down. My mind is too busy enjoying this position to want to fight him anymore.
“I guess I can beat you in a fight now” Sky says smiling triumphantly.
Oh hell no, now I can’t let him win. I roll my legs up and push his body off me with all my strength, then I pin him down, reversing out former position. I lean in close to whisper in his ear “I don’t think so” and then I kiss his neck underneath his ear hard enough to leave a mark.
“Well that is definitely cheating” Sky says but doesn’t stop me.
“You said not to hold back” I say seductively as I thrust my hips against him.
“We can’t, not here” Sky says but does not try to stop me.
“Why not, too shy?” I tease as I move to undo his belt.
Taking advantage of my distracted hands, Sky flips us again and kisses me fiercely. “No, I just want the first time to be special.” He says.
I laugh out loud “You don’t think i’m still a virgin do you? Sorry to break it to you, but that ship has definitely sailed”
“Well I had hoped, but it doesn’t matter, I’m going to make you forget about anyone else. I just want our first time together to be special, let me take you on a proper date” Sky says.
I’m pretty sure he already has made me forget about everyone else, but I nod in agreement anyway, his lips crashing into mine before I can say anything else.
“We should probably get back to practising” Sky says standing up and helping me up.
We spend some time testing the limits of our abilities and thinking about how to use them in a fight before we head home.
