The Elementals: Chapter 22 Magic Words
I have been ignoring my phone for at least an hour now, trying to hold onto the blissful sleepy haze and the safety of this cosy sanctuary. Sky got up a while ago and showered but I'm not ready to face the world yet.
A loud knock at the door forces my eyes to snap open. Sky opens it and I hear a familiar voice shout "I'm here to rescue Lily from whatever sex dungeon you have got her locked in"
"She is not locked anywhere, she is just asleep." Sky answers chuckling
"Well she has not responded to me all morning and it's now 2pm and I can't wait any longer" rain says as she opens the door.
"Wait, she may not be dressed!" Sky warns
Rain laughs "oh honey, I have seen that girl naked more times than you, it's fine"
Rain comes over to me and sits down on the mattress beside me and smirks as she takes in the scene.
"Debrief now! Sky go get pizza" she orders.
"You can't kick me out of my own house Rain." Sky complains. While Rain may not have superpowers, the look she gives him could definitely kill, so Sky quickly adds "but I will go make you both pizza, if you promise to explain exactly how you have seen her naked in detail."
"Deal" rain and I say together.
"So the dress still fit then?" Rain asks.
"I'm amazed you found it, I don't even remember keeping it." I say.
"You didn't, you gave it to me in a bag of other stuff you were taking to the charity shop. I saved it, you are welcome." Rain says.
"Thank you for helping, last night was perfect." I say.
"Details, now!" Rain says.
I fill her in on everything from last night, but I skim over the exact details of the mind-blowing sex we had.
"Oh come on, you can tell me more than that" Rain insists.
"I don't know, it just feels different this time, like it should be just between us, it was special. Plus I don't think you need to know the exact measurements of my boyfriend" I explain.
"Boyfriend?! So it's official?" Rain asks excitedly.
"Well I assumed so, he didn't exactly use those words but he asked me to be his." I say as sky walks in with pizza and I blush.
"You can put whatever label you want on it, but I'm not letting you go" Sky says kissing the top of my head as he hands me a plate of pizza.
"Aw you guys are so cute, I'm happy for you joining our little family. Oh Lily how did things go with your mum?" Rain asks between mouthfuls of pizza.
I explain the meeting with my mum and the atmosphere changes instantly.
"You can't leave!" Rain says when I finish.
"I'm not going to, that's why I left her before she could argue." I say
"Maybe you should speak to her again. She obviously had more to say and maybe we could learn more to help keep you safe here." Sky says.
"I'm worried if I go back she won't let me leave. I don't want to give up my life here" I say sadly.
"What if I come with you, I could help get you home, I will fight them if I need to" sky offers.
"That might actually work. Are you ready to meet my mum though?" I tease.
"Oh please, he already has my seal of approval and that's all he needs. So you guys are going to say your magic words and puff off to the Antarctic?" Rain asks.
"They are not magic words, it's just Latin see" sky says handing Rain a scrap of paper.
"Draco alas expande tuis " She reads out loud and a puff of smoke suddenly appears. It's a very good thing that old buildings like this one have high ceilings and that this room was already a mess because Rain emerges as a large very freaked out dragon. She turns around frantically until she catches my eyes and pleads with me. I realise she doesn't know how to change back.
"You have to say human open your arms" I explain.
Seconds later she is back in her normal from.
"What the hell, I thought you said I wasn't a dragon!" Rain says before composing herself.
"I didn't think so since you haven't shown any powers, but I guess you must have some and just not have needed to use them. Ours only showed up when we were in danger, maybe you just haven't been at risk." I ponder out loud.
“Huh, well clearly I'm more sensible and responsible than you two" she says and we all laugh.
"I think you are just luckier or you have put yourself in dangerous situations so much growing up that you have learnt to handle them without powers" I say and she throws a pillow at me.
"Well the good news is that I'm coming too now. Let's get this family reunion underway" Rain says enthusiastically.
