Chapter 112: Bryn

Jaxon and I lay together for half an hour before Henry wakes up crying to be fed. I wish we could stay wrapped up like this for a little while longer, but my boy is a good eater and won’t calm down until he’s nice and full. I quickly get dressed and take one more lingering look at Jaxon before slipping out of the room and rushing to grab Henry.

“It’s okay my little prince,” I tell him as I lift him out of the crib.

As soon as I rest him against my chest he starts searching for his food. I laugh at how eager he is and move quickly to rocking chair so he can feed. He latches on well like every other time, and I tilt my head back letting the feel of the rocking chair relax me too. My eyes feel a little heavy, but when the door cracks open and Sawyer walks in I’m too excited to sleep.

“Hey, baby.” He says walking in and leaning down to kiss me when he reaches us.

He pulls the neck of my shirt back to peek in and greet Henry. “Hey little man, slow down before you get sick.”

I chuckle and swat at him. “Leave him alone. He’s a growing boy.”

Sawyer steps back and brushes some of my no doubt messy hair back behind my ears. “So how naughty were you while I was gone?” He smirks knowingly.

I scoff. “Excuse me? Don’t say those things in front of our son!”

He laughs. “Don’t try to use him as an excuse to not talk about the fact Jaxon jumped on you as soon as the doctor gave you the okay to-“

I throw my hand out to jab him in the stomach. He was nice enough to grunt as if my weak punch hurt him, but his toned stomach hurts me instead. I shake out my hand and scowl at him which makes him laugh.

“I won’t talk about this right now,” I say with a huff.

He leans in so close to my ear that I shiver when he speaks. “I’m jealous he got to touch you before I did, or maybe I’m jealous that I couldn’t watch. Either way, we will remedy that tonight because you won’t be waking up tomorrow without being barely able to walk. It’s been too long.”

I squeeze my eyes shut and try my hardest not to think about any of this while I’m feeding our baby. It seems weird, and I want to kick Sawyer’s butt for saying those things to me right now. I settle for elbowing him in the chest. He huffs out a sound and laughs.

“Alright, alright, but tonight you’re mine.” He smirks and walks out of the room giving me a very nice view of his backside.

His jeans perfectly fit and I have to stop myself from drooling. I am so horny it isn’t even funny.

I manage to finish feeding Henry without thinking about anything inappropriate. He’s wide awake so. I bring him with me downstairs where Jaxon and Sawyer are sitting in the living room. They have a game playing on the large TV, and when I move up behind the couch I notice it is game tape for the team the guys will be going up against for their first game. One of the players slams an opposing player hard against the side wall. I cringe at the impact but the player turns around and pushes the other away. Helmets come off and they start grabbing and pushing each other. It isn’t uncommon for things to get heated on the ice and fights to break out, but this guy looks tough.

“He looks dangerous,” I say getting the guy’s attention.

“He’s a dirty player that's for sure, but he’s the best. I guess coach is throwing us in the deep end.” Sawyer says as he rewinds the play leading up to the confrontation.

The part where the fight breaks out plays again and I physically flinch when the rough player pulls off his glove and slugs the other player. More players start to move toward them, some trying to break them apart but others get in on the fight. It takes several people to finally break everything up. It takes some time for them to figure out who started what. A few of the players get sent to the box and the main instigator gets benched.

“They didn’t kick him out of the game?” Jaxon asks.

Sawyer shakes his head. “Things are a bit more lenient since fitting is common in the game. If a fight doesn’t break out at least once a game then it wouldn’t be hockey.”

Jaxon huffs out a laugh. “I like football where running into each other is part of the game. This isn’t the same thing. These guys are ticking time bombs.”

“Things hardly lead to anything serious,” Saweyr says casually.

I scoff. “You broke your arm once and that was when we were kids.”

“That guy was a bully and twice my size.” Sawyer reminds me.

He’s not wrong. It wasn’t a fair game but it was between a bunch of kids in the neighborhood so rules were few.

“Maddox can take him,” Sawyer says confidently.

Maddox is a big guy and could definitely take on this guy but I don’t want him taking chances. This guy might be smaller, but he’s violent and hits hard. That’s enough to make me nervous. As if summoning him the front door opens and Maddox walks in. I take him in and all that heat I pushed down earlier comes roaring back to life. He’s wearing a white t-shirt pulled tight against his muscular chest and arms. His hair is still wet from showering and the way he smiles at me makes my insides turn to mush.

“Hey, sweetheart!” He says, dropping his duffle bag by the door and kicking his shoes off.

He drops his keys on the bowl sitting on a table by the door and walks toward me. I swallow and let my eyes wander over him again. When my eyes land on his face again he’s smirking at me. These guys know what they do to me and it’s kind of annoying. I scowl at him instead and turn around to face the TV again. A second later I feel warmth behind me and his large hand wraps around my waist pulling me against him.

“What’s wrong sweetheart?” He whispers in my ear.

I shiver and squeeze my eyes shut and try my best to pull myself together.

“You boys are too cocky,” I grumble.

Henry has fallen asleep on my chest and Maddox’s hand moves up to rub her back.

“Why don’t you put him in his room so that I can greet you properly.” He brushes some of my hair away from my neck and leaves a kiss on my heated skin.

Jaxon and I were together not long ago, and now I’m burning up for another one of my guys already.

“Don’t you dare Mad man!” Sawyer calls out from the couch without taking his eyes off the game.

Maddox’s low chuckle vibrates against my back, and I have to rip myself out of his arms before I jump him. I could take Henry to his room, but he’s the only thing from me jumping any of these guys. Today is only the first day of having the go-ahead to be intimate with the guys, but it’s also been a while. I’m still sore from earlier. My guys aren’t exactly small under the belt. Maddox is the biggest of them all, no surprise there so resisting him right now is a must.

I move over to the other end of the couch and slowly lower myself and slide back so that I can relax with Henry on my chest. He’s growing so much already. Too fast. He’s already gained a lot of weight and I love how cuddly it makes him. I run my hand up and down his back when he starts to fuss a little and he quickly calms down. The doctor says he finds my heartbeat calming which is why he’ll fall asleep on my chest so easily.

Maddox walks around the couch and settles next to me. He wraps his arm around the back of the couch behind my head and tugs playfully on a strand of my hair. I narrow my eyes at him making him laugh and lean down to kiss me. As soon as our lips touch I melt against him. Darn him! He knows how weak I am for him!

He breaks the kiss leaving me breathless, and gives me that same annoying smirk. I smack him in the chest making him laugh again.

“Where’s Nolan?” He asks. “It’s almost four.”

I pull my phone out of my pocket and send him a quick text. It doesn’t take long for him to reply.

*Nolan: I’m picking up a surprise. Be home soon.*

Then a second message comes in.

*Nolan: Love you*

I smile to myself. Nolan is the silent and isn’t openly mushy like the other guys can be. Even if he doesn’t say things well, I always know. Still seeing those words makes me feel warm inside. If he says it then I know he means it.

*Me: I love you too! Hurry home…so I can show you.*

If the guys can tease, then so can I.
