Chapter 121: Bryn
I smile to myself as we all head out into the warm day. The guys have been hounding Jaxon about his outfit nonstop but I can admit that he looks amazing. It’s not his normal style but I think these guys could wear anything and still look incredibly sexy. Or maybe I’m just horny and can’t fight my attraction to them even in public. I look over at Sawyer and nearly melt into a puddle. He has Henry in a carrier against his chest and my little man is fast asleep with his head rests on his dad’s chest.
As soon as we head for the shuttle Nolan arranged for us I catch one of the female hotel workers gawking at my harem of men. She probably thinks they’re free and she doesn’t notice me narrowing my eyes on her. If she did she’d scurry off and hide to avoid my wrath.
“Easy Angel, you can’t bite her head off while we’re staying here,” Jaxon whispers in my ear before he kisses the side of my neck making my anger melt away.
“Fine.”
He chuckles and wraps an arm around my bare waist. It was hard for me to decide to wear this outfit but I figured I could let my insecurities mess with me all day and be miserable or let myself feel pretty and go for it. With a pep talk from my sister, I decided to go for it, and the look on the guy’s faces was worth it. As much as I doubt my looks they always look at me like I’m the most beautiful woman in the world.
Come on ladies we always find a flaw, but hearing your man tell you how amazing you look helps. Maybe it's pathetic to hope for validation all the time, but when the world puts an impossible standard on you it always feels like you're falling short. Even the most beautiful women in the world have moments of doubt. So I'm telling you to take a chance once and try on something you don’t think will look good and strut your stuff like no one is watching. It makes you feel powerful even if it’s just for yourself. Just once. Let yourself feel beautiful.
A man wearing a floral button-up opens the doors to the shuttle van for us and the guys climb in first to leave the window seat closest to the open door free for me. I chuckle when I glance back and see Nolan, Jaxon and Maddox trying to squeeze in the back seats. There are three rows of seats so at least Maddox gets a row to himself, but it still looks too small. My teddy bear is a big guy.
“Are you sure you don’t want to sit here?” I ask him because he looks crazy uncomfortable.
He shakes his head and gives me one of his swoon-worthy smiles. “No way sweetheart.”
I sigh and give up the fight. I never win with these guys.
Sawyer is seated next to me with Henry still cuddled in the carrier. It can’t be comfrotable and probably not the safest option but Sawyer has his big arms wrapped around him like a human sealed. As we drive away from the hotel I notice quite a few mopeds with kids riding in the back of an adult without a helmet or anything and figure it isn’t that weird for kids to go without seat belts. I’m still not sure but the traffic makes our drive slow enough that I feel a little more at ease. Instead of obsessing I look out the window and take everything in.
The crowded city is beautiful and so different than back home, but I love how rugged it is. There is so much character in it all that it makes it even more exciting. Our driver takes out to what looks like a huge outdoor market and stops a little way down where there is a small spot still open. I open my own door too excited to wait for the others. There are so many people moving around me that I could easily get lost, so I wait for the others. At least Maddox stands taller than this entire crowd, so I’ll be able to spot him if we get separated.
“Okay, so where to first? I see a booth down there that is selling clothes.” Maddox says pointing in front of us.
I scowl. “Why are you so tall?”
He smiles. “So that I can help you find booths with clothes from far away.”
I roll my eyes but smile. He slides his hand into mine and starts leading me into the crowd. Most people part for us because he’s huge but they also gawk at him. I can’t help but laugh when they notice the others too. All the guys are way above this city’s average height it seems. Also, the guys are built so that makes them seem even bigger.
We make it to the stand that Maddox saw and excitement rushes through me when I spot several very pretty dresses. They are unique looking so I'm guessing they are the usual style for this area. I pick a few dresses and a few other clothing items for myself to wear while we’re here. Everything is so pretty that I know I’m going to love them without trying them on. We continue walking and I spot some baby clothes that I can’t help stopping to look at. They’re these little button-ups with floral patterns with birds and all kinds of fun stuff. I buy five of them.
So what if Henry is too young to appreciate how cute they are, it's so I can take pictures to remember this amazing trip. Who knows when we’ll have a chance to travel to a place like this again?
Jaxon is carrying several bags as we look for a place to stop and eat. Everything smells so good that it’s hard to decide, so Nolan suggests getting a couple of things from all the little booths and trying it all. Then we can go back to the places we like the best. My genius man! I knew he would come in handy one day.
I make sure to give him an appreciative kiss that quickly turns a little too much for a public place. He’s the one who breaks the kiss first and whispers something dirty into my ear making me blush like crazy. I glared at his back when he sauntered off looking like a smug butthead. We decide on three places to grab food from and oh my gosh they all taste amazing. Since I’m with four giant men we end up buying a lot more from each place until we’re all full. We continue through the market and I buy some local fruit and snack items to bring back to the hotel.
When we reach the other side of the market Henry is starting to fuss, so we find a small table and take a break. Nolan had been carrying my diaper bag, so he digs through it to find my breastfeeding cover. Once I have it on I get comfortable and feed the little man. He eats well and I smile at how chubby he’s starting to get. He’s a big baby thanks to his dad but I've been getting engorged as we walked so I'll happily feed him as much as he can handle to relieve some pressure.
Once he’s finished he’s fallen asleep with milk dripping down the side of his face.
“He’s milk drunk,” I say with a laugh.
The guys chuckle. I pull my tank top back on and carefully remove the cover trying not to wake him. He sighs happily and grabs my shirt with a chubby hand. I lean down and his his little cheeks and the corner of his lip quirks up making me melt in a puddle of mom love. God, he’s so cute. Even though we had that talk about, when I see him I can feel baby fever starting. Great!
We hang out and people watch for a little while longer but a yawn breaks out of me and the guys decide it's time to go. They take over carrying everything while I follow with Henry still asleep in my arms. The shuttle looks like it’s been parked here this whole time and the driver is talking up one of the locals, but jumps to attention the second we arrive.
“Madam and sirs, the hotel called. Your island house is ready. Your bags are already waiting at the boat to take you over, would you like to go there now?” He asks politely.
“Yes!” I say excitedly.
He nods and opens the door for us. We head back to the hotel and he drives around the back of the hotel. I spot the boat after we pass a row of trees. I can not wait to check out the house. I hope the guys love it as much as I do.
