CHAPTER 12

SIA
We went there in silence. I glanced at him occasionally and he was either focused on the road or on the phone. He didn't really have much time to look at me, so he did not spare me a glance. My heart raced as the car arrived at the mansion.
As usual, workers trooped round the mansion and also the security. Sometimes I wonder why he doesn't live in his own palace and he has to come here only when he wants to attend to matters of the pack. But who am I to judge? It's not like I am that important or allowed to meddle in matters concerning royalty. Especially when it involves the WhiteMoon Pack.
"Are you getting down or what?." His voice rang through my ears.
I totally forgot that we've gotten where we are going. I got down with my hands in front of me. The only thing I kept praying for was not to meet his brother anywhere around us now.
"Wow. Now he's taking her everywhere he goes. What kind of a king are you Kevin?." I heard the troublesome voice I've been praying so hard to avoid.
I frowned a bit, he shouldn't talk to me that way. And just in case he doesn't know, I'm his personal assistant. Where else am I supposed to be for crying out loud?
"I guess the clingy bitch is trying to get her chances. I'm going to prove to everyone that you're not worthy to be king Kevin. Be careful because you don't know what's coming to you." He added.
Alpha Kevin simply ignored him and walked away. I followed the suit, I looked back and saw his glowing red eyes threatening me. Somehow I felt safe because Kevin was here. But I don't know for how long, I'm his personal assistant not his royal adviser. He might have to leave me for meeting with the council.
We walked upstairs through a passageway, everyone that came across us bowed for him. We finally got to a large area with two security guards standing at the door. The bowed and one opened the door for us.
I followed him inside the room and marveled at what I saw. I can't believe this.
This is the king's chambers. I recognize it from the way it is decorated and everything that's there. Whoa. I've never been this far in a royal house before. It's such an honor even though he's not my pack leader. How would it feel to share this chambers with him?
Get it together Sia. Don't embarrass yourself in front of him. You're his assistant, stop daydreaming. I don't think he brought me here for that.
"We're here to do a few work before going back. I'm going to be having a meeting with the council so you will have to be here working on those scripts." He said as if reading my thoughts.
Scripts? What's that? I've been upgraded from files to scripts now? Whatever is in those scripts, I hope they are something I can handle.
"You're going to copy them and type them on that computer." He pointed at the computer. I just nodded my head like an idiot.
"Yes Sir..."
I suddenly remembered that he's going to leave me alone here. I felt so uneasy and unsafe. The moment he leaves, his brother can come after me. He can't abandon his duties because of me.
"Make sure you're done with that by the time I return or I'm going to leave you here to finish it. And you can only come home when you're done with it." He told me.
I nodded in agreement.
"Sir... How long are you going to be away?"
He arched a brow, probably surprised that I'm asking such a ridiculous question.
"I'm going to be there till we discuss all the matters tabled before me. So you might get plenty of time to finish. Or do you have an objection?."
Of course I have an objection. Does he always have to ask me that? Can't he see it's just not working out for me?
"No. I'm good." I lied.
He smirked and walked out of the chambers. I sighed in frustration. I tried not to think about Robin, and focus more on getting the work done fast. He might not even take long in the meeting.
I took the scripts and set out to work. I began to type on the computer without mistake as fast as I could. I focused my attention so much on the scripts I didn't notice anyone come in.
Only when I perceived the scent did I know someone came in. I looked up to see who I wasn't expecting at all. Or perhaps I was expecting him to come out of fear.
Is there anything this guy can't do? He isn't afraid of getting killed by his brother and he keeps trying to provoke him.
"Of course, you're his assistant. Why did I make a fuss out of the whole thing like you're someone important when you only get to work on papers." He mocked.
I didn't reply. Rather, I ignored him and continued working on my scripts. He dragged my hand from the computer with red eyes.
"You little... You're so confident now right? You think my brother's going to save you everytime you're rude to me." He growled.
Somehow I managed to pull out of his grip. I glared at him also getting angry. I'm a wolf too, even if I'm an Omega. I have powers too and I should be defending myself.
"Why don't you leave me alone and stop bothering me?! You're always picking on me for no reason at all. Why don't you pick on someone your own size? If you're really a strong Alpha like you think, you should be fighting with people as strong like you not pick on weaker people!." I raised my voice.
I don't know where the courage came from but I definitely don't want to be bullied by him anymore.
He looks surprised by my outburst and that only made him more angry. He pulled my hair painfully and grabbed my neck.
I was choking, so I had to defend myself. I kicked him where the sun doesn't shine and he released me at first. He grew his claws and fangs and charged towards me. I also brought out my features and dodged him, I outsmarted him by pushing him from behind.
He tumbled and got up, charged towards me again. I simply waved my hands and he went flying in the air. But he wasn't ready to give up.
"Why don't you just stop all this and leave me alone. Stop attacking me, I've done nothing wrong!" I protested but he wasn't ready to listen.
I jumped on him and attacked him with my claws. He managed to swing me away, I fell on the floor with a mighty thud making me weak. He came towards me and pulled me up by my neck.
"You dare to attack me! You peasant! You have no idea what I'm going to do to you!!" He threatened with pure hatred.
"Please... Please..." I begged trying to free myself.
He didn't accept my plea and dug his claws in my stomach. I yelped in pain. I slowly felt my breath slipping away from me and itched on my throat. I prayed for Kevin to come back and save me, he's my only hope now.
Like a flash, I fell on the ground. I coughed trying to catch my breath and I saw what really happened. Kevin came back. He punched his brother repeatedly, Robin pushed him away and ran away to escape.
He wanted to go after him but I stopped him.
"Please don't go." I pleaded and he listened to me immediately.
Like magic.
