SIA (Continued)
Now that this bitch is here claiming him, what will be my fate. Sorry I called her a bitch, but she's acting like one to be honest.
I looked at Kevin, I guess he's still trying to digest the shock that he's not saying anything yet. She sat down on one of the chairs and faced us with a satisfied look on her face.
The maid ran out. She crossed her legs making me feel annoyed, who does she think she is?
"Tell her to excuse us Kevin. You and I have a lot to discuss." She told him.
Kevin finally cleared his throat, "I'm sorry Nina. You can't send her away. She deserves to be here. She deserves to know everything."
She frowned. "This is between us. Just you and I."
"She's my Luna now. There is nothing you can do about that."
Kevin just defended me even in front of her. That makes my heart glad that he would keep his promise.
"Why are you just showing up now? What happened all these while? How come you didn't die in the fire like my father?"
Her face turned sour. It looks as if she wants to cry.
"Look at me Kevin. That day, your father and I went out with a maid. We were supposed to meet with those people at that house. We waited and no one came, that maid and I were wearing the same clothes that day."
"Then the fire started. We were stuck in the house. Your father saved my life, I got out. But one of them began chasing me with a dangerous weapon. I ran until I fell off the cliff. I don't know how, but someone from a small village found me. I have been there since because I lost my memory. I just regained myself and I ran all the way here..."
Why do I feel like her story isn't sincere? I just don't have the right feeling. But I wouldn't want Kevin to scold me for nothing.
At this moment, I cannot explain how I feel. This is all happening fast.
Kevin was silent for a while, maybe trying to digest all that has happened. She kept glaring at me occasionally. I understand how she feels but life doesn't always go her way. She was supposed to be dead, everyone moved on with their lives.
Even her family must have forgotten about her. Now she shows up out of nowhere ordering people around like the world revolves around her.
"You're not saying anything Kevin. Please say something." She moved close to Kevin holding his hand desperately.
I felt angry, why is she holding him like that? My wolf is getting jealous too, that is our mate.
"Nina please calm down. I don't know what to say yet. You have to understand that this is all too confusing." Kevin stopped her noticing my mood.
"Are you saying you don't want to see me? You're not happy to see me alive?" She asked her voice breaking.
I actually began to feel sorry for her. Trying to imagine what she might be going through.
"I am happy to see you Nina, don't get me wrong. But this is all too fast, you have to let me digest this. Meanwhile, you can go have some rest and freshen up. The maids will be at your service." He told her.
She nodded dejected. She gently walked away without looking at anyone. Then she fell on the floor all of a sudden.
She fainted!
Kevin rushed to her, "Nina! Nina!!" He called.
"I think she fainted." I told him.
He carried her in his arms, "Wait here. I'll be back after I've gotten someone to look after her."
I nodded, he carried her out of the chambers. Why do I feel like this is not real? Why did she suddenly faint? That's quite odd and not adding up.
Anastasia!
Maybe my jealousy has clouded my face too much. She literally just came from the land of the dead. I should be much nicer to her even if she is rude. I do understand that she feels cheated that Kevin forgot her so soon.
But then he said they already agreed she would step away when he found me. Doesn't she understand that I'm his mate yet.
I should be patient with her. She must be devastated after going through all that, that is why she is acting so rude. She must be very tired. I'll wait her for Kevin to return.
I waited for him anxiously for a while. I can't deny I did feel a bit jealous that he's giving her attention. But then I have to understand she needs that attention now.
Kevin came back a while later. His mood wasn't good, I didn't want to say much. The silent treatment was killing me, I wanted us to go back to how we were before she came back.
"How is she doing?" I asked to ease the tension.
"She'll be fine." He replied with no emotions.
The cold Kevin has returned again, all thanks to Nina. I hope he won't take his anger out on me. I can't lose the only person that is protecting me.
"Can I ask you a question?"
He looked at me, "Nothing's going to change. My feelings for you won't change, I won't stop protecting you. You are still my only Luna. You have nothing to worry about."
I sighed, that's a relief. He surely knows the way to my heart. This situation is awkward for everyone.
"I understand. I won't pressure you."
I sat beside him giving him a hug. He hugged me back, that made my heart leap for joy.
"She is going to be here for a while. Please understand the situation she is in and ignore whatever she says to you. I'll handle her, are you going to be okay with that?"
"I'll do anything to make you happy. I am fine with whatever you want to happen." I replied.
I will try and endure that Nina because of him. I know she will be a big problem for me now that she's here. And his family actually liked her, they must be in support of her now. I won't give up, I will fight for what rightfully belongs to me.
And that's my mate, Kevin.

I spent the rest of the day in the chambers. I didn't want to go out yet to avoid any argument with Kevin's family again. I would wait till everyone has digested the shock before doing anything. I would have loved a walk in the garden, I can't do it today.
Kevin had gone back to check on her, then he came back to the chambers. After which he went out. I stayed in doors avoiding any of his family members. But that is inevitable. Annabelle came to the chambers looking at me in disgust.
Sometimes I have to check myself to see if I'm that disgusting that she always looks at me like that.
"I suppose you are aware of the arrival of my son's true queen. That should tell you what to do, you should get out of our lives and leave. You're the third wheel here and you're not needed." She informed me.
"With all due respect mother..."
"I am not your mother! Don't you ever call me that." She yelled.
"Annabelle..." She gasped.
"What??? How dare you?! You certainly have no respect anymore right? You have become so arrogant than I thought you'd be!" She growled.
I don't understand what she wants from me. I can't call her mother or anything, she always has something to say.
"I do not have anything against her. I am only here because I have to be with my mate and support him. She has nothing to be afraid of. My intentions are clear." I said calmly.
She scoffed, "How arrogant! I won't let you be with my son ever. Nina has always been the love of his life and she is back. You are going to leave, like it or not."
She walked out of the chambers after that. I sighed and palmed my face. As if I have not seen enough, now she had to add to my problems. Why are they seeing me as a threat when she is the real threat here? Why are they bothering me?
'You don't know who you are yet. You are yet to discover that. They all are jealous of the powers you possess' I heard the strange voice again.
"Again with the fucking voice! Who the hell are you and why won't you show yourself to me?!" I yelled at no one.
A bright light suddenly appeared, I covered my face. Then I found a woman, she looks exactly like me but a bit older.
What??? I can't believe what I am seeing. Is this my spirit perhaps? Or the future me?
She has blood on her face, does this mean this will happen to me in future?
"Who are you?" I asked her.
"Reina. I am your great grandmother." She said.
What?? Great what???
