CHAPTER 14

SIA
I am more than happy that he came to save me from his brother. It's like he can hear my heartbeat wherever he goes. If not I'd have probably been dead by now. I got strength like never before and I was able to defend myself with it. But not for long. If I don't do something about this whole bullying, I'm going to die for real.
He won't be there to save me all the time. He has priorities too and those are way too much than my problems.
My heart raced faster than a marathon when he treated me and asked me to take a bath. I noticed the way he keeps looking at me. Something in his look is quite familiar. I'm happy he's learning to accept me the way I am. He even gave me some herbs and ordered food to make me feel better.
I still don't understand why he chose me over his family. I heard his sister from the bathroom, he sent her away and I suddenly feel bad. But who am I to complain?
When we got down, his mother came to express her displeasure in seeing me with her son. She feels I'm the source of trouble and refused to see the bad things her son is doing to me. I am innocent and don't deserve to be treated the way he's treating me.
"Send her away." Those words rang in my ears when she said it.
I did not think it would get to the level of asking her son to send me away because of her other son. I understand she loves her children but supporting evil is a very bad. My body tensed up and I felt my blood pressure rise. He can't disobey his mother, he'll definitely listen to her and send me away.
In the end I'm just a stranger but I don't want to leave. I've gotten so used to him that I don't know what would happen to me if I leave now. I looked at him, his expression is hard to read. He took me by the hand. I wonder what he's going to do now.
"I can't send her away mother. I'd rather send Robin away than do that to her." He blurted out.
We both gasped, his mother and I. I am as shocked as she is. Did he just admit to sending his brother away instead of me? He shouldn't do that.
"What nonsense are you saying Kevin? Tell me, what has this girl blinded you with that you refuse to tell the truth? I want to hear, what is between the two of you? I demand an explanation right now?" She yelled.
I squeezed his hand tighter for support. All this is going to traumatize me.
"She is my mate mother. The future luna of this pack. I want you to understand that. The sooner you do, the better for you."
Wait what?! Did he just say that? I looked at him, he gave me an assuring smile. Did I mention how beautiful he looks when he smiles?
"What?! Are you really trying to play with me Kevin? Have you lost all your respect? You no longer have respect for your mother anymore that you now insult me to my face. I don't want this king of joke to ever repeat itself." She lamented.
"It's no joke mother. That's the truth. You might want to start respecting her now. Be careful what you say to her, I won't hesitate to deal with anyone who hurts or disrespects her."
This defense is just too much. He's fighting with his mother because of me. Why is he doing this? I do not want to be the cause of troubles between him and his family.
"No! I will never accept that. She will be a Luna elsewhere but not in this pack. My husband, your father worked hard to build this park over the years. He did not build it to have an Omega wolf rule over it." She protested.
He opened the car door, "Get in."
I got inside the car and he slammed the door. Then he stood there talking to his mother while I watched from the glass. What's the deal with Omega wolves. I know we are of the lowest rank and are considered weak. But at least I still have potentials. Why can't anyone just give me a chance to live like every normal person rather than shut me out.
I don't expect to feel to hurt by this though. My own family rejected me because of who I am. What could be more painful than that type of rejection?
The car door opened and he got in. I quickly looked away as I didn't want him to see me crying. I did not realize the tears rolling down my cheeks. All I wanted was to be given a chance but that didn't happen.
"You should stop doing that. Don't make my mother and siblings think they're right about you. Wipe those tears." He said without looking at me.
How did he know that I was crying without looking at him? I immediately wiped my tears and gave out a fake smile. I face so many rejections already, this shouldn't be the one that would break me. I believe that someday the moon goddess would hear my grievance and save me.
The ride home was very silent. He didn't move, he simply focused on the road as Seth drove us. When we got the the mansion, he dismissed me and I left for my room. But I couldn't get the whole incident off my head.
Did he just say that to stop his mother or does he mean what he said? That I'm his mate, his future luna?
He's the only one who can answer my questions. I waited till evening, perhaps he'll be more calm by then. I went down to have dinner, he didn't come. I asked the maids and they said he's not requested for dinner even after they told him that his dinner is ready.
I collected his dinner in a tray with a bottle of his favorite wine, and water. I took it to his room. I knocked on the door and waited for him to permit me to come inside the room. I walked in with the tray, he was seated on a chair gazing through the window.
"Excuse me sir, I brought your dinner." I told him.
"I did not request for dinner." His voice sounds cold.
Is he still upset about what happened earlier? He's giving me cold chills throughout my body.
"I was told you didn't have dinner. So I thought I'd bring it to you myself. Also, I want to talk to you." I summoned up the courage to say to him.
He finally turned to look at me. His ash eyes off piercing through me straight.
"Ask."
I gulped. "Do you really want me as your mate? All you told your mother earlier, is it true? Or did you say that to get rid of her?"
He stared at me for a while before walking up to me. My breath itched in my throat, my body trembled at the close contact of our bodies.
"What do you think?"
I fidgeted my fingers.
"That you mean what you said. At least that's what I want to believe." I sincerely told him the truth.
He pulled me by my waist to himself, he touched my hair with the other hand.
"I am telling you the truth. You belong to me. You are mine. I am hereby claiming you... Mate."
It felt like a dream that I didn't want to believe. Those words brought so much happiness to me. I can't express how happy I feel right now. This is the best thing that has happened to me since I become an Omega. Does this mean that I finally have him?
"R-Really?" I asked stuttering.
I didn't know what else to say. The whole thing is still coming as a huge surprise for me.
"You're still so naive aren't you? You need to learn a lot. I'm willing to teach you everything you need to know that will make you strong. In return, you be loyal."
My wolf screamed for joy. We finally got our mate. The changes he made as so fast and strange yet I don't want to think about what changed him. I am glad he changed for me.
"I'll be more loyal to you than anyone..."
He brought my face up to his and pressed his lips against mine. This is it. My dream came through.
