CHAPTER 26

KEVIN
I laid on the bed with her. We were watching TV after the sessions of love making we had. She suggested that we watched the TV, I don't really have time to watch that. The TV has been here for a long time without me switching it on. I have a lot of responsibilities yet I am taking my time in doing what she wants.
This is a new development. She laughed at the funny things said in the show. She must be feeling very happy now. Giving the fact that she has that kind of family, it must be long since she ever got the chance to smile like this.
"When was the last time you watched TV?" I asked her.
She stopped laughing, her face showed a sad expression. I did guess right, they must have also restricted her from watching tv because she shifted to an Omega.
"I don't know. I hardly watch at my aunt's place. I am always in my room trying to study so I can make it to college. My dad stopped me from having anything good the moment I became what I am. He acts like it's the TV's fault or it's because I was treated good that I became like this." She replied sadly.
"I guess the world needs to change that opinion that Omegas are useless. I want to make a rule in the pack."
Every wolf should be treated with respect, low rank or not. That's going to be part of my pack rules, even though it's common for the other packs to do the opposite. I want to make a difference and help her feel comfortable. This can happen to anyone, she has changed my view of Omegas.
"What rules?" She asked curious.
I smiled, "Don't think about it. You will find out later on. For now, I want you to enjoy the show."
"I'm kind of tired from all that hard work. I will simply go to sleep in a few moments. You should get some sleep too. We have work tomorrow."
"Yes your highness." She laughed when I said that. She doesn't think of herself a queen yet until I marry her.
But I already see her as one. It's time she also starts getting it. I'll introduce her to the pack tomorrow. I watched as she adjusted herself beside me in a sleeping position. I am not ready to sleep yet so I just stared at her. I also have a lot of things in mind.
I got a call earlier about the new supplies of the pack being hijacked and burnt. At this rate, my pack will run out of things especially food. It's not going to be easy to go to the next town for supplies. They are going to start pressuring me soon, I need to get to the root of this. I want to know the person behind all these incidents.
I know my enemies are close enough and I have a lot of suspects in mind. I will hold a meeting with the council members tomorrow. I also have some cases to judge tomorrow, some rogue wolves needs to be put out of the way. My mind suddenly drifted to my brother Robin. One of these days, I'll break the family bond and have him face his crimes.
He has done enough already and he deserves to lay for all his crimes. I may end up banning him from the pack if he is not careful. I also have my doubts about him. Something within me tells me he's up to no good and he needs to be monitored.
I got up from the bed and went down to the living room. I saw some strange movements around the living room.
The person ran away immediately I looked at the shadow. I am fast but I didn't catch the person. So I know this person is a werewolf, probably here to spy on me. I remembered that Sia's aunt and cousins are here. My house has a very high security, how did the person get in.
Unless there's someone who is a traitor here. Of course, how else will you get to someone if not by using somebody close to them? I walked around the mansion looking for the person but I saw no one except my external security who don't even know what is going on.
"Keep running. I'm one step to catching you. You're dead when I do." I said to no one.
He should hear me, whoever it is. I'll catch them anyway. I walked back to my room and met Sia still sleeping soundly. I laid back in bed beside her, she snuggled herself close to me. I thought she was asleep, how come she knows I am back?
"You're not asleep, are you?" I asked.
She smiled and opened her eyes a bit, "I felt you leave the bed so I woke up. I was waiting for you to get back before I continue sleeping."
"Hmm... Here you have me. All yours." I cuddled her.
"I know. You should try to sleep too and forget whatever you're thinking about. There's always time to do that tomorrow." She suggested.
I didn't want to argue, I nodded in agreement and tried to close my eyes. Even though I am troubled with what is going on, I have a woman that is making me happy now.
UNKNOWN POV
I watched him leave before sneaking back into the mansion. I am here on my own mission, he almost caught me. Everything would have been ruined if he did. I don't want to ruin all the hard work I have been doing for years now. It's only a matter of time before everything pays off.
I had left my hiding place earlier this evening and stuck around. I waited for one of his maids who I saw going out before taking any action. Luckily for me, she has the same hair color and she has a mask on. So I pulled her away and made her unconscious. I dumped her body somewhere and stole her clothes. I dressed up like her, hiding my wolf scent and fooling the security. I went inside the mansion.
I am the only one who is able to do this as I know this place like the back of my hands. I just wanted to check on him and see what is happening between him and that girl. I stayed at the door and spied on them. I tried using my abilities to listen to their conversation. It seems Kevin forgets so easily and he moved on pretty fast.
I heard him coming close to the door so I started moving away. He almost caught me at the living room when he saw my shadow. Thankfully, he did not chase me far and I was able to escape him. I got into a van going out of the mansion and jumped off on the way.
My blood boiled in anger and all I want is revenge. I want to make him suffer for moving on so quick. I went back to the cave and stayed there. Everything I saw made me angry. I got into my wolf form and went out to hunt. I managed to kill a few animals and ate them raw. But that's not enough to quench the anger I feel.
Soon enough, you will regret everything Kevin. I will separate you and her. I will have you to myself. I'll do anything to get that bitch out of the way. That's my promise to you.
