Chapter 48

Jasmine

I looked at myself in the broken mirror, seeing nothing but broken pieces of myself I had collected and put together piece by piece, and got ready to write my fate today.

What I was going to do a few moments later, was the hardest decision I had ever taken. Knowing that today might be the end of my life, the venom of vampires could possibly kill me just because I was bound under the spells and both in my body and mind I was somehow still a human.

I was aware that there were so many chances that I would not survive the mark, my body won't be able to cope with the venom and the final predicament might be my death.

But none of these was going to stop me today.

Nothing.

I took a deep breath, gathering the courage to face the upcoming storm that was not on my side.

And then I headed to the other side of the palace, as I began moving further into the corridor the darkness began to increase. The sight through the window was pitch black. Something about the darkness was utterly terrifying and indescribable as the soul-shaking stillness blended into it whilst the silence accompanied it.

Everything around seemed to stop to a halt when the blood moon decided to take over the sky and dominate the predators.

And then after passing a numerous number of rooms, I finally saw it.

The room they were in.

As I tried to advance toward the room, two guards stood in front of me.

They quickly bowed to me before one of them spoke, "We are sorry, Your Majesty. But we are told to not let anyone enter the room."

It was obvious that none of my mates were going to take the risk of letting anyone reach them during this period of the blood moon.

"Well, I am not anyone," I spoke, "I am their mate so let me in and leave right now."

"B-But your Majesty...." He tried to say something but I cut him off.

"It's an order."

As though they had already understood there was no room for discussion left, they bowed for one last time before they left the place.

The silence fell back into its spot after their departure and I inched close to the door.

My hand shook ever so slightly as I reached to twist the doorknob.

The overwhelming nervousness and a strange fear were fighting to create the reluctance within me that'd affect my decision but I shook it off, and slowly opened the door half before I entered the room.

I did not look anywhere at first or I could say, I did not dare to.

First, I forced my trembling hands to lock the door from inside, and then sucked in a deep breath I finally looked to the front.

The room was even darker than the night and it would be impossible to see anything or notice their figures standing in front of the window if the mere light of the torch did not fall on them and illuminated their skin.

Their backs were facing me, keeping me away from the view of their face.

The want to see them clearly became strong. I wanted to see them, I wanted to be close to them even though it was more than dangerous.

Putting every drop of my strength, I managed to take a few steps toward them and within seconds I noticed them stiffening on the spot.

Yes. They finally realized that I was there.

"Get out of the room, Jasmine," Micheal's command immediately caused my steps to halt.

None of them had still looked at me but I could feel the sudden restlessness that sowed deep within them because of my presence.

When I did not move an inch, he spoke once again.

"Get out. Right Now!"

I flinched because of his loud voice, he sounded dangerous....on the verge of losing his calm.

But today I wanted them to lose their restraints, I wanted them to let their feral stay take control and claim me otherwise there was no way they would do it by their will knowing that it'd put my life at risk.

"No." I managed to say out loud.

No response came from them upon my sentence.

A solid minute of silence remained there before I heard three loud growls and noticed their hands forming fists giving me the message that they'd not be able to hold themselves for much longer.

I took a few more steps close to them.

"Don't come any closer, Jasmine!" Micheal growled out.

I once again decided to defy them and took another step, my heart was thundering against my chest. My palms were covered in sweat, and each breath I took felt heavier than the previous one as though the air was heavy as stone.

I couldn't step back.

I attempted to take another step forward when Archer's suppressed growl banged in my ears, "Don't!"

Till now their entire body was shaking due to their attempt to stop themselves, The sound of their fangs forcing their way through their gums broke through and their sharp extended nails came into my view.

I knew what I was doing was terribly wrong but I did not have any other option. This was the only way I could get them to mark me.

I had to do it.

Soft winds began blowing and making their way inside through the open window as if to make way for me to get the chance to finish this most important step of my life.

I let my hair come undone and the winds hit them, carrying the scent to the ones I wanted.

One...

Two....

Three.....

All of them turned to face me at the exact moment, the gazes of their blood-red eyes resembling the dominating blood moon locked with mine causing a hitch in my breathing.

And their wings snapped, tearing through the layers of skin on their back the gorgeous black wings extended in full—This was the first time ever when I got the chance to see them, they were beautiful black and shinier than silk.

For a second, everything around the world seemed to screech to a halt, I could only look and admire how beautiful they are!

Unlike all the other times, despite their awakened ferals, they did not attack me or straight up pounce at me to mark me.

They too only looked at me or I could see it was their ferals who looked as though they had found something enchanting in the scenery of me standing with my hair open and body covered in an ordinary white dress.

I couldn't complain, something about that stare did wipe away my doubts and the mere amount of reluctance I had gathered through this time of them forbidding me over and over again.

Before I even knew I was walking closer to the, not a trace of fear remained anywhere even in the depth of me once I stood an inch away from them.

They were ethereal....made of me.

"I want to be all yours," I whispered raising my hand and brushing my fingers on the side of Lucien's face.

He closed his eyes upon my touch, I felt his heartbeat picking its pace.

I slowly moved closer to Micheal, a very small smile that could be barely noticeable tugged at my lips.

"I want my mates' marks on me," I softly spoke, cupping his cheek and tracing his jaw with my thumb.

He too closed his eyes, I noticed his breathing getting slightly heavier.

And then I moved closer to Archer, I looked into his eyes feeling the serene feeling wash over me just like it previously did when I looked into Lucien and Archer's ones.

"I want you all to claim me," I leaned and placed a kiss on the mark on his chest that was still visible from the last time I had seen him during this entire blood moon.

I felt him drawing a breath and his body relaxing for a spit of second, his reaction was no different than his brothers. My touch equally affected all of them just like theirs did to me.

I finally pulled away and stood at a distance.

"Mark me and make me yours," I looked at them and held my hands out to them wanting them to get closer.

And the next I knew was, with their super speed all three of them caged from all sides leaving no way to escape even though I had no plans to do so, and then the sound of my dress getting torn sounded throughout the room.
