Chapter 51
Third Person's P.O.V.
Helena's eyes widened watching Jasmine's condition. Not a single word left her mouth, she was shocked as she looked at the most unexpected tragedy she had ever thought she'd have to face.
None had ever thought Jasmine would do something like this after knowing how deadly a Vampire's mark was for a human.
Elijah couldn't get himself to believe what he was seeing right now. It was one of the very few things he had feared but he had never even imagined that he would have to see Jasmine like this. Surely he did not like Jasmine at first but now as he finally wanted to accept her as his sons' mate, it pained him that the girl who loved his sons selflessly was now gone...
But among all these emotions, Elijah also had to face the guilt— For all those degrading things he have said to Jasmine and for all his insulting remarks.
But how could he even Apologise? Jasmine was no longer alive.
Lucien, Micheal, and Archer were silently looking at their mate, their tears did not fall anymore and they no longer mourned. They only looked but in those eyes full of love the pain and grief were vivid, none could even imagine how much pain they were going through.
The red dress on Jasmine did not look like it used to anymore, her porcelain skin was fully covered in the blue hue, her lips were pale and it seemed like within these few hours she had lost tons of weight in a blink
"When are Pierson and Steve coming?" Lucien asked Micheal, his voice was void of emotions.
"They are on their way," Archer informed, he had not let go of Jasmine's hand during this entire time as though she'd disappear in thin air if he did so.
Micheal sat at the corner of the bed, his eyes never moving from his mate.
It was hard for Elijah to even look at Jasmine, it reminded him of the words that he'd said to her that day, how many times he called her unworthy and questioned her intentions yet he walked closer to his sons.
He put his hand on Lucien's shoulder, " We are going to figure something out, son. Nothing will happen to her," He said, "We are going to be her back."
Lucien looked back at his dad and in response he only nodded, watching his father being supportive for the first time indeed surprised him but that mere amount of emotion could not be reflected through the intense grief that kept him surrounded from every side.
Tears gathered in Helena's eyes, she had always wanted the relationship between her husband and sons to get betterment but never in her entire life she had thought she'd have to face this kind of event to finally see the change in Elijah.
A few moments later, Pierson and Steve arrived.
Both of the Vampires were extremely clever and blessed with a certain power that had given them a special place in this kingdom.
Pierson was born was the power to heal others and himself, internal or external wounds he could heal both of them. On the other hand, Steve's extraordinary knowledge about herbs and spells gave him power over many other vampires' in this kingdom.
Out of everyone in the room their eyes straight landed on Jasmine, Pierson looked surprised by her condition but Steve had no reaction. The vampire seemed to be already aware of what event could have put her into this state just by looking at the blue skin of hers.
The hopefulness stirred awake in everyone.
Steve and Pierson exchanged a glance, the look on their faces said a lot but before anyone could utter a word, or anyone could even get a chance to explain the situation Steve spoke.
"We can not save her, your majesty." With those few words, Steve destroyed the last bit of hope that was left in everyone.
"Listen, Steve. That's our mate, you know the spells, you have knowledge of different herbs and you have saved so many vampires till now. Do anything you can, whatever you want but save our mate. We can't afford to lose her." Lucien's restlessness could be seen through his words, his rushed voice and tone full of panic was something none had ever seen before today.
"But your Majesty, she is not a vampire," Pierson spoke, his eyes showing sympathy, "And my healing powers might heal the wounds on her body, but there is no way any of us know how to save her from the....venom."
"Then turn her into a Vampire, do everything it takes but we want our mate back." Micheal stood up, "We have not called you two here to hear a "No, from you. Heal my mate, get her back."
"I understand your pain you Majesty, but the chances of her recovering are very low. Till now the venom has spread in her whole body and turning her into a vampire while she is not....." Steve paused for a second, looking hesitant to speak, " The entire process of turning her into a vampire has the very least chances of getting successful because she is not alive anymore."
"Don't you dare to utter that one more time Steve," Archer said, his deadly cold eyes looking at Steve in an unnerving way, "My mate is not dead, get that in your fucking head."
Noticing the situation was getting out of control, Elijah and Helena decided to step in.
They couldn't let it all be in the hands of their sons' who were not in the correct state of mind—They were going insane to see Jasmine be alive again and they did not care to consider what was possible and what was not.
"Archer, Calm down..." Helena walked toward him, "Let him speak, we need to hear everything out before we get to conclusions."
"Steve, tell me what are the chances that this transformation would be successful?" Elijah asked.
"Your Majesty, I am sorry but it's Less than one percent," Steve sighed, "Transforming her wound means we would have to awaken a feral within her, a part that doesn't exist in her. It's like forcing another soul into her body with the help of a vampire's blood but for a fact, she needed to have the strength within her which in this condition she doesn't. Even if we try heart and soul, we can't really say that we are going to be successful in turning her into a Vampire, she currently has three venoms running in her veins, Your Majesty. And the venoms do not belong from any ordinary Vampires that we can easily wipe off the effects."
Everyone in the room fell silent.
The truth was hard to accept but it was truth anyways.
It was nearly impossible to bring Jasmine back, and turning her into a vampire was the only option that they had and that too seemed impossible.
"Do it, we have to try for that one percent chance." Elijah spoke breaking the silence of the room, "Listen, She is important to us. The future queen of this kingdom, you both need to try your best to save her, and let's leave the rest to god's will."
Elijah's words surprised his sons a lot— They had not expected his father to be so supportive whilst their whole life they'd seen him questioning them at every step.
Steve and Pierson nodded at his words, King Elijah had certainly left no room for discussion.
"Pierson will heal her external wounds at first, and then we need to inject the blood of a vampire in her body but we have to make sure his blood has to be powerful enough to demolish the effects of the venom."
"Take mine or my brothers," Lucien hurriedly stepped forward
"No your majesty, I can't. Your venom is already in her body and your blood won't fight with your own venom. It'll only put her body into more difficulties." Steve spoke.
"Take mine, it'll work," Elijah said, he did not have any doubt about his sentence because he and everyone were aware of the fact that Elijah was one of the most powerful vampires alive and his powers were much more in comparison to his sons.
"Okay, we better start the transformation right," Steve spoke and with a nod of approval, Pierson walked towards Jasmine's lifeless body laying on the bed.
As Pierson chanted something, Unusual Golden rays gathered around his fingertips, his eyes turned completely white.
Smokey and radiating a surreal warmth, those rays began pouring over Jasmine's body like rain that falls after the long scorching heat of the summer. And scars disappeared where the rays fell similar to how the water washed away the earth and the fresh winds drown away the tension of the atmosphere.
Maybe with luck, prayers, and endeavor they could bring back Jasmine or everything could go in vain.
For now, nothing could be said until she finally opens her eyes.
