Chapter 11
Jasmine.
I woke up in unfamiliar surroundings, the softness of the bed was new, the different scents roaming around the room were more unusual than what I was used to waking up to, the feeling of someone beside me was too unexpected.
My eyes fluttered open and the decorated white ceiling was the first thing my eyes saw, I shot up to sit straight without acknowledging King Archer's presence beside me and the other two devilishly handsome vampires who stood in front of the bed.
"Where the fuck am I? Did someone kidnap me?" I muttered, my mind too messed up to even recognize that this was their room I had even come to the day before today. I heard a manly chuckle from the side and this was made me look at the Vampire sitting right beside me.
His fangs peek through and for some absurd nonetheless reasons, I found it endearing.
Gasping I stood up from the bed, hurriedly smoothing out my dress.
What the hell I'm going in their room?
The shout in my mind surely reached their ears and I felt a hand on my shoulder. I glanced back and saw King Micheal, his face also had a smile. I didn't know why they were smiling.
Do I look like a joker? Or is my morning face look too hilarious?
Upon the completion of my thought, I saw king Lucien taking his lips into his mouth as if he was trying to stop himself from laughing. For sure, I was continuously embarrassing myself since I had woken up.
"I'm sorry, but did I just walk into your room in my sleep?" I questioned. The events of last night before I'd fainted hadn't come to recollection yet.
Unexpectedly I saw King Micheal snaking his hand around my waist, the tingles shot through. Well, damn...the goosebumps didn't find any other time to appear.
"Love, do you not remember anything?" He gently moved his other hand to gently let his index finger travel from the side of my face to my collarbone. I literally shivered under his touch, my mind went too flimsy to realize how close our faces were. My eyes closed on their own.
The surreal memories of last flashed behind my lids, the moon and my ridiculous questions I had thrown at her, the picture I was painting, when I slipped the strong arms King Lucien wrapped around me, and lastly the pure ecstasy the three of their lips on mines spread within my body.
My eyes shot open, wide and my brows raised in surprise. The tug at the corner of King Micheal's lips told it all, he'd understood it that I remembered the events. The blush crept up at my lips as my eyes fell on his lips before I forced them to avert their stare.
"I-I...just," I struggled to make out any words, his handsome face was too distracting. Too tempting.
My stuttering stopped at a halt when King Archer's rough hands sensually traveled from my shoulder to my hips. My breathing hitched in my throat, and my eyes locked with King Lucien's ones that were intently watching me. The tension in the air got thicker and thicker.
"You must've known that the vampires find their mate on the night of the full moon," King Micheal whispered. His warm breath caressed my face leaving my mind hazy.
"Uh-huh," I nodded and at the end of the sentence, a small gasp escaped my lips as King Archer moved my hair leaving my neck exposed to him before he placed a feathery kiss on my bare skin.
I couldn't breathe. How was I supposed to pay attention to any of their words if the other one keeps diverting my mind to a different route?
"Our feral sides recognize And we found that..." King Archer placed another kiss, but this time sucking the fragile skin there. I had to bite my bottom lip to stop the brazen sound that fought to tore from my throat.
"You are our mate," King Lucien finished the sentence his brother had left unfinished and had focused on my neck instead. He took long strides to reach over to us. His eyes intently set on me, only me.
Even though I had thoroughly remembered every word they'd said last night still the mention of that one word 'mate' caused my stomach to take different turns. The heat permeated inside my body as though someone had set me on fire. Exceedingly heightening the desires I had never felt before.
"But I'm a human," I breathed out, craning my neck to the side to look at King Lucien and King Micheal to the opportunity to lower his head and bury in the crook of my neck. His lips met the spot below my throat and a low moan slipped past my lips.
I had never gotten intimate with anyone. Having these three irresistibly handsome vampires' all attention on me and their skillful hands working on my lips resulted in all my senses going over the top of my head. I couldn't think straight, my clutching on King Micheal's shirt began trembling.
Them telling me I was their mate even though I was a human, their lips lingering on my skin, the coolness of their skin, and my body trapped between them. I felt too small between these three remarkably tall and strong vampires--Just as a prey feels in front of the predators.
"Do you feel uncomfortable that you are our mate, sweetheart?" King Lucien leaned in and gently caressed my cheek, "You don't want to be our mate?" He questioned, his dark eyes had turned the darkest shade of red the moment his I'm in came in contact with mine but the softness in his gaze didn't recede.
The other two brothers stopped, their bodies stiffened, and hold on to me tightened. The sudden silence stretched across the room.
"It's not like that," The words left my mouth before I even knew it, "I'm just...surprised that..."My words remained unfinished as King Lucien leaned in and kissed me. His hand softly tucked under my chin and tilt my face so that he could get better access.
His expert tongue explored my mouth, whilst the other two assaulted my skin with their lingering kisses. Overly stimulated, my body began falling weak but why didn't want this to end? Why did I want this to keep this going?
The need to intake air made us pull away. A small smile displayed on his tips looking at my flushed cheeks. The questions in my head were still left unanswered.
"We've waited for our mate for so long, you are a blessing," King Michael fanged grin caused a flutter to appear in my stomach, the warmth pooled my abdomen as he leaned in and kissed my forehead.
"How did you all know I am your mate?" I questioned, trying hard to keep my voice steady.
"Your smell was the first thing that worked as the first time, you smell......heavenly," King Archer was the first one to answer, he took a whiff from my hair.
"Your eyes, they felt hypnotizing, and the only eyes that could lure a vampire would be his soulmate's." King Lucien spoke, his finger ran from neck to my shoulder stopped at my hand resting on King Micheal's shoulder.
"And the sensations your touch sent to our bodies, your touch enticed us," He continued, his fingers traveling to my neck and rubbing small patterns on a certain part of my neck. The darkness in his eyes grew more whilst I shivered under his touch feeling thousands of electric shocks pass through my body within seconds," Can you feel the sparks, sweetheart?" He questions.
"Hm," I nodded, "I've felt them from the start."
A smile tugged at his lips, the other two males smiled too.
"That's the thing, little mate. You are made for us," King Archer rested his chin on my shoulder, sighing as if having me closer made him relaxed.
"You all are not disappointed?" The question automatically left my mouth breaking the short-lasting silence that'd engulfed the atmosphere for a few seconds.
"What would we be disappointed?" King Micheal question, his eyebrows questionably raised.
"That...that y'all got a human as a mate?" I croaked out, "You are the rulers of this empire and certainly every other vampire would want their companion to be strong and powerful and of their own clan. I'm a human and most importantly not compatible like a vampire could turn out to be." As I finished my sentence I could feel all of their gazes set on me, their expression serious but eyes not harsh.
They exchanged a look with one another before King Micheal withdrew his hands from my waist and cupped my face, "There's nothing more we could've asked more than you, okay?" His tone was soothing and words coated my insides with warmth.
"But you all can get any woman you want, who would be much better than..." I couldn't finish as he placed his finger on my lips silencing the words left on the tip of my tongue.
"No can be better for us than you and that's the reason you are our mate," He smiled, "And it's what is the truth."
His words worked like magic washing away my insecurities. My shoulders relaxed and I let out a small sigh.
"Okay," I nodded and he slowly removed his hands.
"Good, little one," He tapped on my nose with his index finger, a small giggle tore from my throat at his movement and their smiles widened.
I hadn't spent much time with them but however it was, I knew every one of their natures. King Micheal was the gentlest one, the Archer's nature was notorious compared to the other two, and King Lucien had the dominant aura. But any of it didn't make me even the slightest uncomfortable, I admired them. These few days had even made me grow fond of it.
"So since you've known that you are our mate, you'd be staying in our room from now." King Lucien announced. My cheeks reddened at the statement. Only a few minutes had gotten me on my toes I didn't think I could handle myself at the thought of living with them.
"But King Lu.." Again I couldn't finish as King Archer interrupted.
"Well, another thing. You will remove that 'king' from in front of our names and call us only by our names," He turned me around, my chest roughly pressed against his one and I could feel the hunger in his eyes as my body came crashing down against him.
It could be said without a doubt that my cheeks were beet red right now.
"We can try so many different things..." He whispered and my breathing hitched in my throat.
Oh my God! Save me!
"No need pray, sweetheart," King Lucien chuckled, "We are not going to rush into anything, you'll get your own sweet time." I couldn't believe his words that much, yet it helped me relax.
"We'll tell the maids to shift your things from your old room to here, you can loosen up." King Micheal informed.
"Um....if you all don't mind can I just bring my things from my room by myself ?" I spoke up.
"Why?" King Archer who was busy caressing my face or sniffing my scent till now decided to speak.
"I don't like other people touching my belongings," I admitted.
"So you wouldn't let us touch them too?" King Lucien's teasing voice spoke.
"You can touch anything if you want that belongs to me, it's different," I instantly realized what I had just said and involuntarily bit my tongue.
The glint in his eyes changed, he moved closer, his expression unreadable, "Anything?" He questioned, his voice had grown deeper.
The furious blush remained painted on my cheeks. I struggled thinking about what I should say? My mouth was literally the worst thing I had gotten, it never stayed shut.
"Guys, you both will scare her...let her go," King Micheal interrupted, there was suppressed chuckle behind his words. His brother listened to his words and they would away, although the smirks were there on their faces.
"I'll just get my things..." I spluttered nervously tucking a hair strand behind my hair and hurried out of the room trying to hide my blush all the way out. The last thing that rang in my ears was their gleeful chuckles.
I was the Vampire Kings' mate. And this was the reality that still felt like a dream to me which I supposedly didn't want to break.
