Mate
Isabelle
It'd been two days since I was staying in Kaden's room, I thought it was going to be only the night I was going to be staying but Kaden successfully shifted all my clothes into his closet and made my stay in his room permanent. I didn't have any complaint against it since I loved his company.
Kaden remained busy in the day and at that time my boredom was not long-lasting since books turned into another great companion but questions were raised within me as I didn't understand the meaning of many moments between the couples except for understanding one thing that there was intimacy hidden in it.
I thought of asking Kaden but I hadn't gotten the chance till now at night. He had pulled me in his lap when he came into the room. He seemed to do that a lot as if he also liked the closeness as much as I did.
"Kaden, What's the Kiss they say the couples do ?" I questioned, his eyes turned a shade darker and his grip on my waist tightened.
"Why this question?" His voice came out hoarse.
"I read it in the book Cassandra gave me," I admitted, moving a little bit to the side on his lap to properly face him but then I heard his low groan that stilled my movements, "Sorry, did I hurt you?" I quickly spluttered, the concern laced my voice.
"No, you didn't," He let out a low sigh pulling me closer till my back rested against his chest, my body relaxed feeling his warmth engulfing me.
"You haven't answered my question yet,"
He remained silent for a couple of minutes before he leaned closer to my ear letting his warm breath rake my skin with goosebumps. I closed my eyes when his lips lightly brushed against my ear.
"Do you want me to show you?" He whispered, and a shiver ran down my spine.
"Yes," I breathed out and his lips curved into a smirk.
"Are you sure?" He asked, his hand already making its way to my waist to turn me around.
Not knowing what to do I slowly nodded, a smile spread on his lips and he slowly pushed me down the bed so that my back hit the soft fluffy surface and he could hover me. He was incredibly tall and his strong figure could easily turn intimidating but it didn't create any discomfort for me in fact it only increased the fire that seemed to be set throughout my body.
His knees rested on either side of me trapping my legs between them, his hair lightly fell over his forehead as he leaned in. My heart thumped against my chest, the warmth flooding in my veins and the tingling appearing in my skin as though it'd always been there.
He slowly leaned in closer to my face, my hands were frozen still clutching onto his shirt.
His warm breath hit my skin, the sparks shot through all over my body. It was unreal. The feeling was too perplexing yet made me anticipate something.
His lips moved closer to mine, he gently laid a kiss on the corner of my mouth before he kissed on the other side. His eyes got darker with each second passing, I couldn't stop looking at him when he was slowly closing the distance.
And then lips gently brushed against mine, a shiver ran down my body overpowering the sparks that erupted like a bonfire. I could feel his hands balling up the sheets into his fist as if he was controlling himself whilst he gently pressed his lips against mine.
My eyes rolled shut at the sudden contact, his soft lips closed against my bottom lip before he did the same to my upper one. Deliberately increasing the speed, my back arched. The wetness in my bottom remained a mystery, the urge to press my thighs together couldn't be completed as his body was between it.
Unwantedly my hips ground against his and a low growl rumbled at the back of his throat causing the vibrations to work all the way along with my body.
He pulled away, leaving me halfway breathless. The blush took over my face, I knew it was an intimate moment I'd just shared with him, and the fact it was Kaden I had shared this first-ever moment of my life made me feel even more delighted.
The unknown feeling bloomed in my chest like a freshly bloomed flower under the sunlight.
"Do you want to try it by yourself?" He asked, his breathing was also heavier but he did not look as breathless as me.
"What if I do it wrong?" I hesitantly questioned, a soft chuckle slipped past his lips and he lightly pressed his soft lips on mine before pulling away.
"You won't do it wrong, don't worry," He assured, "Just follow try to follow my movements."
The hesitancies washed away upon his words and I guided my hand to the back of his neck my other hand rested on his shoulder on its own.
And then he slowly leaned in, his petal-soft lips molded on mine, and this time he let me take control. I slowly began moving my lips against his, his hand gently skimmed on my waist running his fingers on my skin. The action caused my movements to get faster.
As the heat started building and our bodies began melting, he suddenly slipped his tongue inside of my mouth. My eyes rolled to the back of my head at this even though they were closed tight.
His tongue lightly massaged mine, leaving the butterflies flying everywhere. My fingers tangled themselves into his hair locks, my other hand grabbed the fabric of the shirt on his shoulder as tight as possible.
I felt like I'd fall if I let him go.
No matter what I didn't want this moment to end but the way our breathing was getting shallower I knew we couldn't keep this heated encounter for more than enough.
A few minutes later Kaden pulled away as if he already knew that I needed to breathe, I greedily inhaled--The air in my lungs began readjusting. My cheeks were flushed and my heartbeat loud as those thunders but they didn't cause any discomfort this time. It only made the peace permeate within my nerves.
He smiled looking at me and placed a small kiss on my lips as he'd do to my forehead all the time, "You are going to drive me crazy."
"Is that a bad thing?" The question left my mouth even though I was still catching my breath.
His brows rose in surprise before a small chuckle slipped past his lips that were still glistening, "How can you be so adorable, huh?" he playfully nuzzled my nose effortlessly earning a giggle from me.
He gently hooked his arm around my waist and turned us around so that I was on top of him, my entire body rested on his top. The squeak left my mouth and it only made his grin widen as if he liked my little reactions.
"Kaden, you'll get hurt," I tried to move but he stilled my movements.
"You weight nothing, Isabelle," He spoke, "You are light as a feather."
"But..." The words on my lips remained untold as he placed his index finger on it.
"No more argument, you are going to stay like this and it is final." He guided my head back to his chest and his arms wrapped around my body, I heard him sigh in relief.
A few moments passed, the questions in my head started getting louder and louder. I knew I was getting closer to Kaden in many more ways than I'd thought. I liked this closeness, I loved getting his small caresses, I loved when he'd smile at me, I liked each touch but I didn't know if all of these were going to lead me to anywhere.
I didn't have much knowledge about these feelings, I was slowly building for him but I knew these were strong even out of control. In this short time, he'd broken many of my walls and I was only a few steps away from opening myself like a book to him and I didn't know if it was going to be the right decision or it would make him go away from me.
"Isabelle..." Kaden's voice made me get out of the world in my head I had gotten lost for a while.
I hummed in response and looked at him.
"What are you thinking love?" He tucked a piece of my hair strand behind my ear, the pure affection that specked in his eyes made me forget all my worries.
I could trust Kaden and not worry about the outcomes, he had saved my life and taken care of me more than anyone else in the world except for my parents had ever done.
"Can I ask you a question?" I asked.
"Of course," He responded, his gentle voice soothed my soul.
"Since, only couples...do what we did earlier--" I hesitated, the heat traveling to my cheeks as I realized what kind of question I was going to ask, --"I mean only couples are supposed to kiss, aren't they?"
I could see the twitch at the corner of his lips upon my question and he nodded, looking at me as if he already knew the question in my head but only waited for me to spill out.
"So are w-we a couple now?" The question itself left the pink to tint my cheeks and the grin that Kaden seemed to suppress now displayed on his face.
"Do you want us to be a couple?" He asked.
I bit my bottom lip because of the nervousness, I didn't know if he was going to agree or not but I nonetheless answered by uttering a small Yes.
"Then we are a couple." He informed.
"So from now on, you are my boyfriend?" I asked, I could see the surprise in his eyes. Certainty he hadn't thought I would know about this but it was not by the grace of books that I got to know about it, it was Cassandra who explained these terms a bit.
"No, from now I'm your mate," He leaned kissing my forehead, "And you are my angel."
"Mate.." I tested the word on my tongue. I didn't bother to ask much about the word as I had already considered another normal term used by couples.
"Yes, Mate," Kaden smiled.
I rested my head back on his chest and slowly drifted off to a peaceful slumber in Kaden's arms or I could in my mate's arms.
