Chapter 20

Jasmine

"Oh my God! All of these are your yachts?" I asked in astonishment. My jaw was inches away from dropping on the floor as I looked at the huge row of yachts lined up closer to the shore.

"Yes, it's ours," Lucien chuckled at my reaction before he leaned in a kissed my cheek, "You are adorable."

It took me a moment to figure out the reason behind his amusement but then I realized that the vampires I was asking the question to were the rulers of the kingdom. They could purchase anything they wanted.

My cheeks burned red in embarrassment and upon noticing my blush, Micheal came forward and picked me up all of a sudden.

I squeaked and wrapped my arms around his neck to keep myself steady.

"Let's get going," He spoke, a mischievous smile tugged at his lips as he took a look at my shocked expression.

I did not know what to say because nothing would work in making them do things normally, they were literally such clever vampires that my human brain could not keep up with their emotions especially when they intend to startle me.

I found myself sighing in defeat and letting my head rest against his chest.

"Notorious Vampires," I muttered under my breath and this made a laugh tear from Micheal's throat.

"Thanks for the compliment, little one," He kissed the bridge of my life and I had to stop the smile that fought to get visible on my lips.

I did not understand at all why they affected me so much but I liked the way their touch and small moves made me feel, the sparks I had never felt before. It was this warmth that spreads inside the way my heart beats like crazy yet looking at them makes everything peaceful even in the chaos.

Was I in....

I did not let my thoughts be complete, the furious blush took place on my cheeks and I fight hard to hide it but it was too late. The flicker in Micheal's eyes told it all, he had already noticed the unusual change the thought had brought within me.

"What are you thinking?" He asked, his brows rose in amusement and curiosity shined in his orbs.

Oh hell! I can't tell them....

"And what it is that you can't tell us?" Lucien's question came almost instantly right after my thoughts had made a mess.

My eyes widened at the realization, that I was by myself ruining my chances to escape their upcoming interrogation.

Fuck my loud thoughts!

"Sure, We'll do that but first answer us," Archer was the one to speak, a smirk tugged at his lips as my mouth thing open.

Damn it! I had thought out loud again!

"Yes, Jasmine. You are actually thinking louder than normal human beings." Lucien chuckled shaking his head.

They were of course having a great time watching me expose all my stupidity at once.

"Why you all are sneaking in my head?!" I asked, and the anger seeped through my words.

"Well, damn...you look even hotter when you are angry," Micheal whispered in my ear.

I opened and closed my mouth a couple of times trying to say something or gather any words to spill but at last, I ended up losing.m

My whole face flamed up at this point, I was again left speechless. I should have known I could never win from these Vampires. They could literally turn any conversation into something else.

"Why do you all do this to me?"I sighed out, fighting hard to keep the frown.

"What did we do? He just said what's true." A smirk curved into Lucien's lips.

With those silky hair locks loosely hanging over his forehead and the sun rays falling on him that made his skin shimmer like pearls, he looked deadly gorgeous. I couldn't even gather myself to glare at him.

"Ummm...can we all please go now?" I mumbled, awfully failing to hide my blush or stop the sudden sinful thoughts crossing and hitting my mind like thunders.

Their features were too gorgeous to get unnoticed, it seemed like I could stare at each one of them all day long and there came the problem, they'd surely find a way to tease me if I anyhow gave away the signs.

"Sure, little one," Archer was the one to respond and I saw him getting on the yacht walking past us but not forgetting to lightly brush his fingers on my shoulder before he got on the yacht.

The goosebumps shot through my whole freaking body, and the urge to feel the touch again started crawling up little by little and then all at once.

Why have I become so horny?

Ugh, calm the heck down Jasmine.

Thank God my thoughts were suppressed this time!

Micheal got on the yacht with me in his arms and finally, Lucien followed us.

They walked towards the control cabin whilst my eyes glanced around the place in awe. There was a bedroom inside that I could see through the glass window then a small bar set up at the corner of the hall and in the middle a rounded couch, I doubted if I had seen such a huge couch till today.

Micheal sat on one of the chairs, position me on his lap, and buried his head in the crook of my neck taking a sniff of my scent as if it was something that'd help him calm down.

My feet that were lightly touched the ground were raised as he wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled my body closer to his embrace.

"Do you wanna try this a bit?" Lucien who had started driving the yacht asked as he glanced at me.

It was then I had noticed that we had already left the shore and were headed to the destination only the three people in the room knew and I certainly was not in that number.

"What if I mess up?" I blurted out.

"You won't. Come here." Lucien beckoned and I hesitantly got up standing beside him, looking at the wheel with a strange interest as though it was alien.

A small chuckle from Lucien was what I heard before he pulled me closer by my waist and made me stand right in front of him, the position made his breath hit the base of my neck and I unintentionally shivered.

A very knowing smile plastered on his face as he noticed the goosebumps but he kept everything at bay and softly grabbed my hands placing them on the wheel.

"This way we can move to the east," He informed me as he lightly moved the wheel with my hand under his.

"Like this, we can move to the north," He spoke and moved the wheel accordingly. He was fully concentrated on teaching me and I was fully concentrated on looking at him or Archer who was now eating an apple whilst leaning against the door or Micheal who made himself occupied with a glass of wine or the beautiful scenery of the blue sea.

The faint waves of the sea hit against the yacht resulting in it moving a little off the way, a small gasp escaped from me at the sudden impact and my grip on the wheels tightened while my eyes closed on their own.

"You get startled by small things," Lucien's comment made me open my eyes, and I craned my neck to look at him.

He had this amused look plastered on his face that made my bros such together in a frown.

"A huge wave looks like a small thing to you?" I asked in disbelief.

"Yes." He replied.

"It could swallow all of us in it if it was a few meters higher." I blurted out.

"You don't have to worry about that, love," He began, "Because are certainly capable of saving you from far worse situations than this."

It was then it clicked in my mind that they were not average humans to be scared of storms and all that. They could survive any catastrophe in a blink.

A strange feeling knotted in the middle of my chest as his words replayed in my head...Saving me.

I did not know why but something about those words did affect me more than it should.

The tears gathered before I even knew I had turned around and hugged Lucien with everything I had, my sudden movement caught him off guard but before his arms could engulf me I heard Archer's yell.

He seemed to be the one who noticed my tears first.

"Asshole, you made her cry!"

Then the next moment I was no longer in Lucien's arms, In the speed of the wind Archer had got himself seated on the couch with me on his lap and cradled closer to his chest.

Lucien looked flabbergasted as he finally took a look at the tear that slid down my cheek.

"Don't cry, little one," Archer murmured wiping away my tears.

"Jasmine, why are you crying?" Lucien softly spoke walking closer.

"You could have said that the waves are scary. Why disagree with her?" Archer glared at Lucien.

"Archer, don't be so stupid. Of course, She's not crying because of that," Micheal interjected.

Archer was on his way to argue but the exact moment the slight parting of his lips told me that he understood how silly his statement was.

Why would I cry just because Lucien disagreed with me?

"Why are you crying, babe?" Archer asked, tucking a piece of my hair strand behind my ear and brushing away my tears with his thumb.

"I just got a little too emotional," I sniffled, and a small laugh tore from my mouth at how silly I sounded.

"For what?" Lucien asked confused, he settled himself beside Arche, sitting closer to the edge so that he could face me.

"I c-can't explain, it just...it's just that it felt nice when you said you all would save me if there were any tough situations," I said and all of their expressions instantly softened.

"Oh, Jasmine..." Archer sighed pulling me closer until my head was nestled under his chin, his scent comforted me, and the soothing motions of his fingertips rubbing circles against my back coaxed me.

"We will always protect you, little one," Lucien spoke caressing my cheek, "Because you mean our life to us."

"Now stop crying, I don't want to see these tears on your face," Micheal spoke leaning in and placing a kiss on my cheek.

A smile on my face at their affection and I nodded, "Okay."

"Sure you are not gonna cry again?" Lucien asked.

"Yes, I am sure." I nodded unable to stop the giggle that tore from my throat.

"Okay, then. Let's eat something," He smiled and with Archer carrying me we all stepped to the kitchen diner.
