Epilogue

Jasmine

Lucien zipped up my dress from the back, and Archer was busy admiring me and sometimes either tucking a piece of my hair strand behind my ear or sometimes simply just caressing my face.

Micheal stood beside me and silently watched me or I could say was sneaking inside my head.

Today was the crowning ceremony or if I said it the way my mates addressed it, 'The start of a new journey.'

I was nervous, in fact, it would be an understatement to say it this way.

The feeling I was going through could not be described in words. This was not only a ceremony or an announcement for me, there were going to be a lot of responsibilities that were going to come with it.

Even though everyone fully believed me, I still couldn't stop worrying. This was a big day for me, and the journey ahead was going to be full of ups and downs but that was not what I was afraid of; The only thing that scared me was that I did not want to disappoint my mates, I feared that I was going to fail to meet their expectations.

"Love, you should get those thoughts out of your head," Lucien whispered hugging me from behind.

Well, no wonder how loud my thoughts were today! It was impossible for them to not hear my thoughts even if they tried to.

"You are perfect for us and our kingdoms," Archer smiled and leaned forward to place a quick kiss on my lips.

"I do not want to disappoint you," My voice was lower than a whisper.

"You won't disappoint us," Micheal spoke, "Now will you put that beautiful smile on your face once again?"

"I am afraid, Micheal. There are going to be a lot of responsibilities to be fulfilled and decisions to be taken. What if I fail to fulfill those responsibilities?"

"We all fail at some things in our life, my love. But that doesn't mean we are not worthy or we shouldn't be in the position we are, it means taking a lesson from our mistakes and walking ahead in our lives. Our failures are what makes us stronger, the toughest times mold us into the best version of ourselves." He caressed my cheek.

"Whatever happens, we are going to get through that together," Lucien said and placed a kiss on the top of my head.

It had been a long journey. I had faced losses, I faced the deadly storms, and I had been broken and put back together but today as I stood in front of the mirror and looked at myself and my mates I could say one thing for sure— God has blessed me with much more happiness than I had expected.

The loss of my parents could never be fulfilled but none can take away the precious memories of them I had got stored in my heart that'll live forever; They'll live with me till the day I die.

The garden of Vaidel, my mom's melodious giggles and dad's chuckles, those times they'd participate in my stupid games without any reluctance, the moments when my or dad's arms would engulf me, and the beautiful sight of my kingdom that I loved— Everything would live in my heart forever.

Even though the people who and the place that gave me these greatest memories no longer existed, even though the Vaidel dynasty could no longer be found except in the pages of the evaluating history— They'll still exist in the depth of me.

I have been through hell and I survived.

I found love that helped me grow and find myself once again.

And I was grateful for this journey, for what I have got, and for who I have lost in the path.

This was my destiny, I was meant to stand here today with my mate and dream of a beautiful journey ahead.

I was meant to find happiness though it took me a long time to finally reach it.

"I love you," I let the smile take over my face as I looked at my mates.

"We love you too," Archer smiled and placed one more kiss on my lips.

"And you should know that there is no one else in this entire world who can love you more than us." Lucien rested his chin on my shoulder, nuzzling my neck ever so slightly.

"Did we tell you how stunning you look today?" Micheal asked and intertwined our hands before softly kissing my knuckles.

"No, you all  haven't yet," I shook my head, unable to hold my smile

"Well, let me tell you then on our behalf," Micheal cleared his throat.

"So...Queen Jasmine, you look like the most beautiful in the whole world." He announced, his voice was so loud that I doubted it remained within these four walls of the room.

A giggle automatically tore from my throat at his childlike behavior, "Thank you."

"Let's go, little mate," Lucien said, "Everyone is waiting for you."

I released a soft sigh and held my head high pushing any sort of nervousness that was there.

"Yes, let's go." I nodded.

Lucien grabbed my hand and led me outside, whilst Archer and Micheal stood on both sides of us.

The two guards in front outside bowed before us before they opened the door revealing the sight of hundreds of people and friends who were going to be a big of this upcoming journey we were about to start.

If any awful thought was left in my mind, it diminished after I saw the pride in mom, dad, and Martha's eyes and I knew that from above my own mom and dad were watching us too with those very familiar smiles on their faces and the very same pride shining in their eyes too.

My mates looked at me with love and admiration, their happiness that could not be hidden in any way.

And then Lucien finally spoke, putting me in the center of everyone's attention and making the announcement that changed my life forever.

"Here's presenting, the rightful queen of Blackvale Dynasty and Devuniake, the daughter of
Lord Fredrick and Queen Katherine— Jasmine Doloris Winchester."

The End.
