A Lycan's Vow
Kaden
I shouted punching at the wall. The blood trailed down my knuckles but I couldn't realize even the tinge bit of pain. The anger inside of me was continuously getting out of my hand. I was constantly getting out of control for the past few hours.
Alistair was gone with Isabelle in a puff of air. As if taking my mate in the darkness of the dark smoke that will lead to neverending darkness.
The anonymous shield that had stopped me from going inside of the room disappeared with Alistair. I couldn't think straight.
He had taken away Isabelle and I didn't have a single idea where.
I felt the strong knot forming in the middle of my chest, the remorse increasing rapidly.
I had promised her that I would never let anyone take her away from me.....
She was taken away right in front of me, that brute took her away and I couldn't do anything. I watched her tears fall unable to wipe them away. I could not save her.
The anger boiled inside and I found myself punching the wall and throwing a chair against the mirror in front of me shattering it into small pieces.
God knew what that piece of shit was planning to do to Isabelle. She had already gone through a lot, I didn't want the mere amount of sadness to be there in her eyes but for the first time ever in my life, I was feeling helpless.
Even her scent of vanishing from the atmosphere....her sweet smile, her melodious giggles that felt no less than music, her small frame in my arms....it felt like everything of her was long gone.
My fueled anger resulted in the shout that left my mouth. I picked up the nearest furniture and threw it against the walls, the broken pieces of wood flew everywhere.
Destruction...all I wanted was Destruction.
I wanted to kill Alistair and his evil companions, every person who made Isabelle's life hell. Every individual shall receive payback for what they have done to Isabelle and her parents.
But right now, I needed to find Isabelle.
I needed to save her and get her out of Alistair's cage.
But how? I didn't know where that demonic Lycan had taken me mate, and how far his hunger for power would take him.
I could not stay here and wait for nothing, I had to figure it out hope to rescue Isabelle. I needed to get her back before Alistair could.....snatch her away from me for forever.
I punched the nearest pillars and a deep crack showed upon it, the floor trembled and the I laid another punch on it. Growling at the thought of something inauspicious happening to mate.
"Kaden, you need to calm down..." Cassandra's worried voice cut the silence for at least the umpteenth time, but I again decided to ignore it.
I picked up the nearest vase and threw it against the wall, the loud smashing sound rook over the place, and a few pieces of glass pierced through my skin.
"Kaden you should calm down, you being out of control is not helping the situation," Carter spoke up.
"He took way my mate breaking the tight security I arranged for her safety! I have no idea where he had taken my mate and what state she might be in and you are fucking telling me to calm down?!" I shouted.
Carter's eyes went wide at my tone, there was a mixture of shock and disbelief but there was that sympathy too.
"Yes! You need to calm down because if you get yourself hurt and out of control like this, there will be none for that poor girl to rely on. She must be thinking that her name would come to save her and here you are acting like a deranged animal who is so out of control that he can't even protect himself let one his mate!" Jason said out loud.
The pang hit my chest at his words, at the mention of my mate.
God knew what was going through her. Being under the captive of those monsters who killed her parents in front of her, who ruined her life smashed all of her dreams.
"I am so sorry, Isabelle. I couldn't fulfill my promise, I said I'd keep you safe but couldn't stop the monsters from pulling into that hell again. I am a failure..." The tears slid down my cheeks and I pressed my hand and forehead against the wall.
The only thing I had ever hated was helplessness and it was the same thing that was now piercing through the layers of my skin. It had gotten rooted the second Isabelle was out of my sight.
"We'll find her, I am sure we'll be able to find her," Cassandra walked closer and placed a hand on my shoulder.
"How Cassandra? How? I don't even know where she was held captive before. I know nothing that can lead me to her." For the first time in my life, my voice trembled. There was that gut-twisting feeling that each of the thoughts passing through was burdening me.
"We can, you have marked her remember? We can find her by using the bond your Lycan and she has. We only need some help, that's all." Jason spoke.
"But only one person we know can help us, and it will take days to reach his place." Carter interrupted, "We have to find another way to find Isabelle."
Baron Acker, the superior of the Griffins. The only one existing in the world who could help us reach Isabelle by tracing the bond that I had established with Isabelle through marking her, the venom my Lycan used to seal the bond.
Yes...Baron could help us and there was no other way that could lead me to her.
"Baron is the only one who can help us right now. We'll have to reach his den within a day." I spoke up, everyone's eyes landed on me after my sentence.
A look of shock shaded their faces, they looked at me in disbelief and Cassandra was the one to speak first.
"Kaden, it's not possible to reach there within a day. It takes more than days to reach up that hill and we have to pass the rivers too."
"It takes so much time because of the breaks one takes in between the journey. And I am not going to stop even in the night. If you all want to come then it's fine, otherwise, I can fight for my mate alone."
"What the fuck are you even talking about, Kaden? Isabelle is a part of our family too. She is not your alone's responsibility." Jason took no time to shout at me.
"Cassandra, calm down. You know he didn't mean it that way, he's worried for Isabelle..." Carter spoke and I saw Jason's glare at me slowly receding.
He heaved out a sigh pinching the bridge of his nose.
"I'll arrange the things for us to leave for the hill right now, we'll find her...don't worry." Jason nodded at me before walking out of the room.
"Some of your wounds are deep, that won't heal soon. Let me dress them before we leave." Cassandra took a hold of my hand lead me outside before she made me seat the sofa, Carter hurriedly brought the first aid kit and handed it to her.
"You'll get her back, Kaden. Don't worry." She assured me before she began dressing the wound on my knuckles.
Yes....I'll find my angel. Even if it meant turning the entire world upside down for her.
Isabelle your mate is coming to you....and he'll get you out of the hell no matter how much it cost....even if it cost his own life.
