Chapter 12

Ava's POV
When I came back the safe house was in chaos like a pot of boiling soup, almost everyone's voice was equally loud and I couldn't hear what they were saying.
This state of disarray almost made me think that something bad had happened to Aaron.
"So are you sorry or happy?" Fog asked.
I honestly don't know.
I walked up and Aaron looked okay, not worse for wear, and certainly not knocked out with a stick by his sister.
"What happened?"
"I heard a werewolf killed the Witch Farrell," a passing werewolf told me. "The safe house is no longer necessary, we should fight them bravely and get them out of our territory."
"I'm glad to hear that." I said dryly and heard Fog start screaming in my head.
"Did we kill a head witch?"
She asked me with a loud growl. "Is this true?!"
"Of course, it's good news that Alpha heard it's all getting better." He continued with a smile. "We need to find this warrior and let him feel this immense honor. I hear his fur is like a burning flame."
I noticed him looking at my brownish-red hair.
"You ......" he said, staring at me in shock.
"I didn't actually ......" I tried to explain to him that it was just an accident.
Who knew the head witch would be manipulating the scene from that spot? And she was defenseless. The reason I did it to her was simply because she was blocking my path.
Yes, this is Fog, my good partner pointed me to the road, this road indeed met no witch, and no werewolves fighting here, this road only one person.
This person is the leader of the witch tonight.
I had to lunge hard at her to break her neck in order to cross the road, and then I never saw another person again.
"That's her!"
As a result, before I could finish, he suddenly turned around and ran away shouting.
I vaguely sensed an impending danger.
Sure enough, I heard his excited voice coming from far away.
"It was Bertha who killed it, the new female werewolf, Luna after Alpha!"
I felt my temples begin to ache.
Amidst a cacophony of cheers, I was led by Adele by the hand to Aaron, whose condition had stabilized. But in order not to have an accident, I still gave him some Luka 7, a drug that keeps his mind sharp without the side effects.
His wolf-like form has disappeared.
"Is everything okay?" He looked at me and asked.
"Very well." I pretended I didn't understand what was going on. "No problems other than taking out a fallen witch."
"Also I want to inform you of something."
"What?" He sat up straight and looked at me with some surprise, his hair on his forehead wet with sweat and looking innocent.
"Starting tomorrow you will be treated and I will be your primary care physician. No, don't push back. You know it's a disease, and if you continue like this, your life will be in danger." I caught my breath and wiped the blood off my arm with gauze.
"You should think of your sister for the sake of your wolf pack."
"I will." He replied, staring at the wound on my arm.
Reader's POV
Because it's my responsibility, Aaron thought to himself.
"So what's her background? What's her status? We don't even know what her intentions are in coming here! How can you expose your weaknesses to her so easily?"
It's not a wonderful thing to have to listen to people yelling in the office early in the morning, and Aaron would have punched people out, but not this one in front of him. This person is his Beta.
His Beta went to investigate Bertha, put himself under investigation for three or five days without a trace, and now runs back and yells at him.
Aaron really briefly thought about his Beta to change a person.
However, now in the face of Sam's questioning, he could only remain silent with nothing to say.
"Do you remember how long it took you to confess to me then, when we still knew each other from childhood, two years! And now? You've only seen her for no more than two months."
But he always had an inexplicable trust in Ava.
It was certainly something he couldn't say to Sam, so he had to change the subject. "How's the investigation into her going?"
Aaron's intention was to make Sam ignore the fact that he would be receiving treatment from Ava in the past. He didn't expect Sam to get even angrier when he heard that, and he practically snarled against Aaron's face.
"How's it going? No news! Blue Moon has only been formed a short time ago, and our network is too small."
Without waiting for Aaron to answer, he added sarcastically. "Now you can relax?"
Aaron didn't answer and looked up at him after a moment of silence. "Then keep checking, I'll take care of the relationship."
The words were spoken without a trace of emotion and sounded like an order.
Sam suddenly couldn't say anything, and he walked out of the office without a word, feeling sorry for his mocking tone earlier.
Ava's POV
I impatiently stared at the clock on the wall, it had been three hours, and finally when I pulled open the door and was about to rush in, I ran head-on into a body with the smell of alcohol.
"What's it going to be?" Aaron looked down at me.
I couldn't resist asking him. "Is that what you call an hour?"
Aaron said as he made his way to his desk. "It's a little far, I walked back."
I naturally won't believe this guy's bullshit, but being able to make up lies to fool me means that his brain hasn't been scrapped by his job.
I gestured to the medication and injections on the table. "Now that you're back, let's start today's treatment. Drink the medicine first."
Aaron obviously didn't expect me to be so stubborn, and the expression on his face became a little stiff. "The time has passed, and the medicine must have gotten cold, so take it next time."
Naturally I was prepared for this and turned around and picked up the bowl that had been heating up and walked to the front of the desk. "Don't worry about that. I knew for sure that you would not be back on time, so I have been preparing it for you."
One by one, people were entering the study. It looked like Aaron had called a meeting before he returned, but I was the only one who didn't know.
He put on a "look I'm busy again" look and showed me his hand.
I was in no hurry, still keeping my smile on his face.
"I could give up this treatment right now. But as a doctor, I need to remind you that you've forgotten four injections and dormant treatments since the first one, and two full days of those without drinking a single drop of medicine."
"Of course, none of this matters."
I waved a hand at him. "But I think one thing that should be more important to you is the timing of your onset."
The surrounding area slowly quieted down from some point.
I took a few steps forward and slowly leaned close to his ear, whispering in a voice that only two people could hear. "It's been exactly three days since the last time we finished, and I suppose by now you're starting to feel your heart beating faster, dizzy and thirsty."
He shivered and suddenly looked at me, his eyes full of shock.
Just at this time, my other hand had raised the syringe and plunged it down toward the back of his neck.
Perhaps because of the alcohol, Aaron's reaction was surprisingly slow for a few moments, and it wasn't until I pushed the sobering agent into him that he finally reacted and covered his neck and stepped back.
The people around me looked stunned, they didn't know whether I was stabbing their boss or ...... simply healing.
"It's just a little wake-up call, don't get excited." I shook my head and threw away the syringe in my hand. "Now you still have to drink that bowl of medicine." With that, I lifted the bowl of medicine to his mouth.
Aaron kept his mouth shut and stared at me with such anger that I could see the anger under his eyes, the anger of an Alpha.
"You can also choose to resist."
At once, the muscles of his arms began to bulge in an exaggerated manner.
I continued. "If you want to explode here."
He stood in silence, like an aggrieved golden retriever.
I breathed a sigh of relief and silently turned on the countdown in my mind. 3......2......1. Sure enough, Aaron dutifully opened his mouth.
He was very cooperative with everything that followed. Except for a little accident when taking his blood pressure, which was surprisingly high, there were no problems, and he cooperated perfectly even with the blood sampling, which he usually resists most.
The others in this situation naturally did not dare to stay here anymore, I think they probably feared that Aaron would retaliate against them for some face reason, in any case everyone retreated out.
I called out to Sam, who was walking at the end of the line, and threw the prepared medicine packet to him, saying. "These are powdered pills for emergencies, just brew them with hot water and you can drink them, if I'm not there when the time comes, I'll leave it to you."
Sam grabbed the medicine bag and leapt to Aaron's side.
I narrowed my eyes and heard him whisper. "This woman is scary! Are you sure you can handle it?"
I finally couldn't resist glaring at him. Then he hid behind Aaron like a frightened rabbit. And Aaron seemed to have been completely numb, no expression, just lowered his head and continued to look at the file.
I left the room in a good mood, who knew that my front foot had just gone out, behind me came the sound of the door closing, and then turned around, Sam was standing in front of me with a lustful look blocking my way.
"So do you have any more questions? Did I not make myself clear enough, or did Aaron have some new instructions."
Sam looked at me with a complicated face. "Why on earth did you come to Blue Moon Pack, did you really fancy Aaron? Then you've sort of succeeded, no one has ever made Aaron lose face in front of everyone."
I couldn't help but laugh. "Just say what you want to say, are you trying to ask me about my intentions?"
Sam was poked and prodded and stopped hiding and asked. "So why exactly?"
I shook my head and said. "Blue Moon Pack is only just getting started, I wouldn't be here if I was trying to figure anything out, and the story I'm telling is true, except believe it or not, you guys, and Aaron."
Hearing Aaron's name Sam instantly focused, and I continued. "He's really good, in terms of looks and strength, but I've seen a lot of good men, so what's so special about him?"
Probably not getting any useful information, Sam had to dryly admonish me. Anyway, Aaron trusts you, I hope you won't let him down.
With that, he stepped back and turned to open the door behind him. Who knew that just pulling open the door, Aaron with a black face was standing in the doorway looking at us.
I said, pretending not to see it. "Don't forget to supervise his medication." With that I turned my head and left.
