Chapter 43 Treatment

Reader's POV
It wasn't Edna who first noticed that she was missing, it was the guards who were secretly watching her.
Edna has about no idea how many people have been secretly watching her since that incident, and because of how much the Alpha thinks of Bertha, they even planned to simply take her into custody after the coronation. But Edna says it's impossible, saying she knows what kind of a man Aaron is.
"The most he'll do is banish me from Genghis Khan, but I'm not going anywhere."
She looked so confident when she said that. But now she was lying on the floor with a fever.
And the Alpha probably didn't even know she was missing.
"Get well soon."
She placed an ice pack on the patient's forehead and sighed, tears dripping again, "I'd love to help you. But I really can't do anything."
The person lying still lay still, unresponsive.
Zoe continued, "In fact, you know it, Alpha is very busy this time, he has been very busy since the princess of the Pabu wolf pack came. I know you don't like her, in fact, I don't like her either. I still see Bertha better than her."
She noticed Edna's hand move.
"At least Bertha's never a bully." Zoe touched her forehead, the temperature seemed to drop a little, "But I still like you better.
'You're so good-looking, everyone will like you when they see you.
Everyone will want to be friends with you.
Actually, I'm your friend too, right?"
No one answered her.
The door was closed and the sound of footsteps slowly faded away, and the room was quiet once again. Edna opened her eyes, the fever made her whole body feel weak, but it didn't stop her from struggling to lift her head to look at the door.
"Yes, you are my friend."
She whispered to herself, "but that was after I left here."
There was no light at the door, she couldn't see anything, but she knew what she wanted to see, so she lay back down and closed her eyes again.
Today was destined to be a different day, for everyone, so even this very ordinary evening had become completely different.
But whether it was here, or the Bright Moon Pack, thousands of feet away, everything was still the same as usual.
Carson had his arm around Kate's shoulders looking out the window at the clouds and the outpost, Adele was sitting in her room holding a paintbrush, Mike was still at the training ground complimenting others on his strength and size, and Aaron, who had gone back to his room to soak himself in the tub.
Everyone is enjoying a rare break, just and such a calm also some things are quietly happening. For example, the betrayers in the outpost were tied up hand and foot, they stared at their own eyes, some were crying, some were laughing, and some were screaming.
There was also the little girl who had been accompanying Deborah and who some said they saw sneaking into the treatment room.
"What was she doing in the treatment room?"
Mike asked suspiciously, "Is Bertha there?"
Jonny, the clan member who came to report, shook his head and replied, a little uncertainly.
"I don't think she's in, Alpha said she was going to be in therapy this afternoon herself."
"What about Adele?"
"Miss Adele is in her room."
Mike took the towel handed to him, wiped a handful of sweat from his neck and forehead and threw it on the floor.
"What about the woman from the Pabu wolf pack?"
This Jonny would not know, he said with some difficulty, "She brought herself to arrange all the people around her room, sleep are people standing guard, really bad surveillance."
Mike heard this sentence want to punch him, but there are too many people in the training ground: "Then you can not monitor!" He whispered, "What did the Alpha say that you forgot?"
The other man lowered his head and looked like he was sorry.
"Go now."
He yelled, "Don't tell me you can't handle this right now!"
Jonny was finally made serious by his attitude and turned around and immediately tried to run away, but he called him back before he could take a few steps, and the two stood face to face again like good brothers.
"You go to the treatment room first to have a look."
He finally said after frowning and thinking for a while.
Jonny agreed, waited a moment to see him say nothing else, ran even faster than last time, and was gone in the blink of an eye.
The treatment room certainly couldn't be occupied right now.
When he arrived at the door of the treatment room, the little girl from Pabu's pack happened to be there and was on her toes trying to look in.
Jonny walked behind her without making a sound, then reached out and knocked on the door.
The knock obviously startled her, and she squealed, turning quickly to look at him with her back pressed against the door: "Who are you?
"Who are you?"
"And who are you?" Jonny asked her in return, "What are you doing here?"
"I'm here to see Dr. Bertha." The other man answered very quickly and sized him up, "You're here to see her too? I just knocked on the door, but I don't know if she's in, and no one came to open it for me."
"She's not in." Jonny replied, "She may have gone out for something, do you need help?"
"I ......" The other person looked hesitant and disappointed, "Yes. My throat is sore and so are my teeth, and I think I need some ice packs or medicine."
"She's not in right now." Jonny repeated again, "You can leave your room number or name, and I'll get someone to let you know if she's back."
"Okay." The other party quickly agreed to this solution, "My name is Faith, and I live in Building 9, 102, if Dr. Bertha comes back."
"What do you want from me?"
A voice rang out behind them, and Jonny turned around in surprise to see that Bertha was standing there with a lollipop in her mouth.
Ava's POV
No one answered my question, and why did everyone look surprised?
What had happened?
I approached them a little wary, "Jonny, what's the problem?"
Jonny came back quickly, he looked at me repeatedly and asked, "Don't you have something to do?"
What does that mean? Do I have to do something?
I shook my head, "I don't know what you mean."
Jonny seemed to see that I had misunderstood a little and explained, "You weren't here and I thought you had other things to do."
"Not right now." I looked over to this person beside him and took out my key to open the door to the treatment room, "What's wrong with you guys?"
"Not me." Jonny answered very quickly, "I was just passing by and saw her in here."
Despite what he said, he walked in after me, "But my arm is killing me, can you take a look at it?"
"Sure." I was surprised by his never before polite attitude, "What's not to like about that?"
"That's fine." He finished and sat down, "She was here first, you can help her first."
Honestly, I didn't think this was Jonny's real intention, it seemed to me that he was just doing it to show respect for women.
But to my surprise, the girl, she took a step back, "Or not." She politely, but also very stiffly refused Jonny's kind offer, "I guess I can wait, it's not a big deal after all."
"I don't have a big problem either." Jonny's attitude was also firm, "And since you came first, I should receive treatment after you."
"I think you should be treated first." The girl was serious, "I know that all the warriors of the wolf pack deserve the privilege, and it's my respect."
"Ladies first, that's my respect for you too."
I finally couldn't help myself, "Okay stop!"
The two men with increasingly heated tones stopped together to look at me.
"That's you, you go first."
I just pointed casually and didn't really care who it was, but when I returned to the examination bed I found myself bringing in the girl.
"Hello?"
I sat down at the table, "Tell me about your problem."
"I have a sore throat." She looked at me, her eyes darting to the side, but there was nothing there but a cabinet full of medicines, "And my teeth hurt too."
"Throat and teeth together?" I thought for a moment, "When did it start?"
"Today." She answered quickly, as if she hadn't even thought about it, "Just today."
"Okay." I felt a little strange in my mind and gestured for her to lie down on the bed and go open her mouth, "What kind of pain is it? Did you eat anything before the pain started?"
The other person shook her head.
"Then, besides your throat and teeth, did you feel any other discomfort?"
The other person still shook her head.
But there was nothing wrong with her, either with her throat or her teeth, at least that's what I saw.
"I can give you some vitamins." I said, "You look like you need to eat a little more vegetables."
I actually knew that very few werewolves liked vegetables, which led to most of them being vitamin deficient.
"Proper fruits and vegetables will do your body good."
"I do dislike those." The girl looked at me with one hand over her cheek, "But it really hurts now, can vitamins make them painless?"
Of course not.
If vitamins were the answer to everything, what in the world would a doctor need?
"But your teeth and throat look normal." I had to tell her honestly, "It's not responsible for you to use random pain medication."
"But I don't need any vitamins at all." I didn't expect the other woman to be so stubborn, "All I care about is that I won't be able to sleep tonight because of this damn toothache!"
"You can put an ice pack on it cold."
Before I could continue, Jonny said off to the side, his tone sounding very impatient, "Or a hot compress."
"I've already applied it; it didn't work at all!"
"Or go to other people to find a solution." He seemed to be unable to hear what the other party said, "Why don't you just go to the doctor of your Pabu wolf pack? Wouldn't your master be unhappy?"
Jonny finished with a look at me, the meaning was very obvious, I finally knew what was going on since he came in and kept staring at people.
It turned out that this was someone from Deborah's side.
What was the deal with someone close to Deborah coming to me for treatment?
I don't think she would be completely indifferent in this matter, let alone her attitude when I was treating Aaron before, I can guarantee that any random person from the Pabu wolf pack would come to me now, no matter for anything, she would throw a tantrum.
What's going on now? Wrong medication?
Or does she have some kind of conspiracy?
