Chapter 57

Ava's POV
Still, the incident was known to Carson much later, and then he ignored me for a whole week, no matter how much Kate talked and made peace between us.
I didn't know any of this yet. Now I'm standing in the middle of the crowd and my head is pounding with pain.
I suspect it's the drugs.
It could also be that this place is really loud.
Everyone is crazy, they are just like the old days, no, more crazy than the old days, pouncing on each other, pushing and shoving each other, no matter who the other person is, family or friends.
They argued loudly, tried hard to convince each other, and finally fell silent in defeat as Deborah continued to talk about things I may have done or never did.
I don't know when everyone fell silent, even Deborah stopped performing. Everyone was looking at me.
Questioning, anticipation, anger and disbelief, all these things that I had already experienced once before finally happened once again. But unlike the last Edna plan, after the last time everyone could basically say that they accepted me completely.
I could see their trust, it was for a kind of people they revered, for their own Luna a kind of trust.
It was this kind of trust that made me want to escape countless times. And now, a number of people still look at me with such trusting eyes. But I was completely speechless.
A light stack of information was thrown at my feet by Deborah.
I glanced at it. On the cover was my picture and my position at Bright Moon Pack.
It wasn't a very thick stack, and someone quickly came up and picked it back up and held it under Aaron's eyes.
But he didn't reach for it, he just looked at me, as he had done countless times before, as if everything that had happened around him was unknown to him and had absolutely nothing to do with him.
I couldn't help but try to avoid his eyes.
But then he spoke up.
"Is it true?"
He asked softly, no emotion could be heard in his voice.
My hands began to tremble uncontrollably.
I remembered what he had said to me, after that incident.
Everyone was complaining about his distrust and suspicion of me, but he neither refuted nor said anything about some of the doubts he found about me when I first entered the Blue Moon Pack at that time.
It was only later, as our relationship grew closer and closer, that he watched me drink my soup one day and suddenly said, "If something like this ever happens again, just say you didn't, and I'll be sure to believe you."
I was so moved by what I heard that I thought he might have found something, so I deliberately asked him, "Is this your way of compensating me?"
He shook his head and said, "It's a promise."
I secretly thought in my mind that it would be possible if there was really that day.
But I didn't think he would be serious.
Yes, it was a promise.
He showed me by his actions that it was indeed a promise.
He doesn't care about anyone else as long as he hears me say it. Even if I was lying to him, he would still believe it.
"Are you Bertha, or are you Ava." I think I heard his voice say softly, "All I like is you and no one else."
Unfortunately, it was too late.
I blinked slowly and looked at him and smiled.
"It's true."
Even from so many people and so far away I could clearly see Aaron's pupils contracting as I said those words.
He suddenly turned his head away and clenched his fists.
At this time, I suddenly relaxed.
I felt suddenly very relaxed, very relaxed.
Because I finally no longer have to tell him a lie, I was finally able to really remove my disguise and stand in front of him and tell him who I am.
Originally I thought maybe I would never have a chance in this life.
Then I thought maybe when I returned to Bright Moon Pack I could convince Carson and Blue Moon Pack alliance. Then I'll tell him who I am.
But for now ......
"My name is Ava. Not Bertha."
My voice got a little louder and I continued to look at him.
Adele had moved in shock and let go of her grip on my arm, and I even felt her turn around hard and wrap her arms around my waist.
This child ......
I sighed inwardly.
She looks like this in the hearts of others again do not know what to think.
"Expel her out."
Sam also do not know when has arrived, standing behind the crowd do not know how long to listen, this time suddenly opened his mouth to say.
His words everyone always listened, nodded in response.
Only Deborah was sneering.
"Expel her out?" She asked rhetorically, "Have you guys never seen a spy? Do you know how long she's been at Blue Moon Pack and how much she knows? To just put her back in the Bright Moon Pack?"
"And what do you want to do about it?"
Sam's eyes moved away from my face to look at her, his brow furrowed, "What's your best idea?"
"Kill her."
Deborah said, "You know who she is? She's Bright Moon Pack's only healer, a candidate for Beta, and within a hundredth place on the wolf pack rankings for combat prowess. How can someone like that just be let go! Let her go and then wait for the Bright Moon Pack to fight?"
"Might as well keep her."
Mike said with a bit of trembling, "Then find Bright Moon Pack to negotiate. If she's so important, the people at Bright Moon Pack won't leave it alone when they find out."
"And we've always maintained a mutually non-offensive relationship with Bright Moon Pack, and they started it this time, so we can totally use Bertha as leverage to negotiate."
Another werewolf interjected.
That seemed like a good idea. I thought silently in my mind. But I wasn't going to stay, and I didn't want to be locked up. Of course, if Aaron he ......
"I'm sure he'd be happy for you to stay." Misty said, "And then you wouldn't have to think so hard about what to do between you."
"And then I'll be assassinated to death by Deborah?"
Misty stopped talking, she obviously knew why that wasn't a good idea.
Everyone looks at Aaron together waiting for him to finish thinking and then speak, and the room quiets down.
Reader's POV
Honestly Aaron thought this was indeed a good idea.
He was actually seeing Bertha. No, it was time to call her Ava. The moment he saw the look on Ava's face he thought this one might be for real.
He was indeed surprised.
Not only because of Ava, but also the impression and shadow left in his mind from the last time was too deep and too heavy.
He tried to trust someone for the first time since that time, to get close to someone again without any purpose.
And so did Ava.
He knew that Ava was sad about her sudden attack at that time, but she still chose to forgive him.
Of course, it does not exclude the reason that there is Adele in the back of the effort, right. But Aaron thought, since she was willing to go to forgive him, then she must have forgiven him. And not because of some other what reason, such as to not let Adele sad or something.
Anyway, that was the first time that Aaron felt that his guilt, his apologies, and the bitterness that he had been collecting were all completely accepted by another person.
She couldn't have been a nicer person.
Aaron thought.
If even she would betray me in this world except for Adele, then I don't need to trust anyone anymore.
Aaron in countless free time actually have thought about Ava in the end will turn out to be in which wolf pack life, her former what is like?
But it was no longer about doubt.
He just simply wanted to be closer to her a little. He was like a teenager who fell in love and pursued the girl he liked, desperately wanting to know everything about each other.
For example, her childhood, her former life, and her hobbies all the things she likes, and her family.
He also thought that with her talent and ability, her previous identity might be very unusual. (Anyway, she would never be some poor little girl who was bullied at will.) This thought only lingered in his mind for a brief moment before he deliberately ignored it.
"So what can be done about it?" Aaron thought sweetly in his heart, "No matter what she is like, I will like her."
Then her identity was called out like that.
In front of everyone.
What surprised and shocked himself at that moment was that he didn't feel much anger towards her.
He was just very heartbroken.
He was heartbroken to watch her put on the dress she had prepared for her for the first time, put on the matching hairdo and then sit down on the floor. He was heartbroken to see the first time she turned to her worried and panicked eyes when she heard his name.
His heart ached for the way the glow on her body became dimmed and the somewhat bewildered and anxious look in the middle of the crowd.
Once again, Aaron was aware of his heart.
He really loved her.
He was trusting her even up to this point.
He knew she wouldn't give out information about the Blue Moon Pack, he knew she wouldn't.
His heart ached as he watched her eyes suddenly glow a little and her pale lips when someone made the suggestion that she might as well stay.
She must want to stay.
In this moment Aaron thought somewhat happily, "She is somewhat fond of me. She's willing to stay for me!"
Maybe she'll even explain after she stays, and then he can apologize for the rough way he acted last night.
Aaron regretted his actions that had landed her in Deborah's hands. Otherwise she would have killed out in her pretty dress by now.
His heart sank at the thought of Deborah's behind.
He suddenly realized the reason Deborah had done it.
Everyone was making plans for the wolves or trying hard to get Ava out of here. Only she, she really wanted to kill her.
Could it be because of what happened last night?
It had to be.
Aaron's sweat slowly trickled down from the corner of his forehead.
He knew he might not be able to keep her.
She was in no shape to defend herself in this current Blue Moon Pack. Deborah's men had infiltrated the organizations, and some of them would go out of their way to attack her because of who she was.
She must be let go.
But ......
"Get the hell out of here."
Aaron whispered.
The Undercover Luna
