Chapter 27 Healing
Ava's POV
My injury healed quickly.
This was also due to Aaron's care, and although Fog repeatedly said that whatever he did was what he was supposed to do, and that he didn't do it very well, my wounds did heal with the help of the medication and food he brought in every day.
I did express to him that some of the medications he sent were rare and completely unusable, but he had little reaction.
Finally, Adele whispered to me that he was actually worried that the wound would leave some bad effects, such as making me unable to pick up a scalpel to save lives or weakening my fighting ability.
"Then I'll regret it for the rest of my life." She said in Aaron's tone of voice.
What else could I say but to take it all.
And I rarely saw him during this time, he seemed to be busier. I wonder if it has something to do with the guest who is coming to Blue Moon Pack.
Even when I see him, he just sits in my room for a while and doesn't say anything.
I began to feel closer to him than before when he came to take care of me and talk to me every day.
That's probably not a good thing.
On the day that I was fully able to remove the gauze cast, many people came from the seventeenth floor.
I can assure you that in all the time I've been here, other than the crazy challenge at the beginning and the fight with Aaron, it's the first time I've been surrounded by so many people.
And it was at the door of my room.
Some people were carrying flowers, some were carrying fruits, and they had joy on their faces.
"Bertha, congratulations on your recovery." I accepted the flowers with a little embarrassment. This man looked strange, but I could feel his kindness.
The other person looked at me with some embarrassment, bent slightly, and said. "Thank you, otherwise I would never see my wife and my children again, and I'm sorry for questioning you before."
His wife and kids?
At this time, his wife came out of the crowd and I recognized her. She looked rosy, her originally bulging belly had become flat, completely different from before, and her smile was gentle.
It's Anna, and it looks like she's a mother now.
"Thank you, Bertha, I am really very happy to see you already standing in front of me." With that, she came forward and gave me a hug. "Also, I have a small request, which is a little sudden, but I think you will be very happy."
I looked at her with a smile. "Sure, as long as I can."
"Please name our child."
That didn't occur to me.
I froze for a moment, the naming ceremony of the child would usually be performed by a reputable person in the wolf pack, but she had left this to me.
It made me a little uncomfortable. "That's not very nice, why don't you give it to Aaron, or Sam?"
Adele, however, poked me with her elbow and whispered. "Don't push back, you deserve this thing, everyone is waiting for you."
She is really getting livelier every day now.
"Yes." Sam also said beside him. "You saved everyone, and this child was able to come safely because of you, and I believe this name given to him by you will bring him good luck and happiness."
Even Sam said so, so I couldn't push it any further and asked her. "Is it a boy or a girl? "
Anna said with a maternal glow on her face and a smile on her face. "It's a boy. "
I thought about it and said. "Then let's call him Farrell, which means brave man. "
The couple had already carried the child, who was lying quietly in his father's arms, looking around with big eyes.
Anna obviously liked the name and said while teasing the child with her fingers. "Great Farrell, you must grow up to be like your father, no, more powerful than your father, to be the most elite warrior in the Blue Moon Pack! "
The child unintentionally "ah", as if in response to what she said, causing the crowd to laugh.
At this time, a small figure struggled to push her way through the crowd and came to me, her hand holding a bouquet of flowers to me. "Sister Bertha, thank you, these are the flowers I picked in the forest this morning, I hope you will like them."
I took the flowers, stroked her head and said. "Thank you child, I like it very much."
The little girl raised her innocent face, as if she had something to say.
Seeing how well behaved she was I couldn't help but ask. "What's wrong? Anything else to say?"
"May I ask if you will be our Luna?" She looked at me, her voice childish and naive. "The adults said before that Edna would be Luna, but I don't like her."
"If only you could be Luna."
Children are always so innocent, and the words spoken are always so sharp. Hearing these words the crowd looked at me in silence, leaving me a little unsure of what to do.
Even Adele looked up at me, as if everyone was waiting for my answer. I didn't want to look at Aaron's expression. Awkwardly, I reached out my hand and touched the little girl's hair, which was as soft as Adele's. "Luna is not just anyone, it was determined a long time ago, and the future Luna of Blue Moon Pack will definitely be better than me."
The little girl bowed her head in some disappointment, her tone still well behaved. "Thanks Bertha, I'm glad you're on the mend."
After she said this she leapt out of the crowd, leaving a group of people looking at me and me looking at you, not knowing what to say next.
The people around me also carried some disappointment, but what I said had to be acknowledged by them. After all, Luna is not just a talking point, and obviously Aaron and I do not have such a destiny.
Walking through the streets, I realized how terrifying the Blue Moon pack's mobilization ability was. The last attack destroyed many buildings in addition to the people who died. The homeless people were assigned to various households, and the reconstruction work was arranged in an orderly manner. It didn't take long for most of the houses to take shape, and everyone was busy, which is what makes Blue Moon scary.
Despite such a scourge as Edna, the vast majority of people appear to be quite united. Even the families of those who died in the last attack are taken care of. And these are clearly Aaron's doing.
Such an atmosphere was absolutely impossible in other noble wolf packs, after all, most wolf packs were aristocratic and would even have slaves.
Adele walked me around, but was always a little sullen, and I asked. "Is something bothering you? Or is your brother busy with work again and neglecting you?"
Adele said with a roll of her eyes. "I'm not a kid anymore, who needs him to play princess games with every day."
I laughed, although Adele is really not a child anymore, but in my eyes and Aaron's eyes have always treated her as a little sister.
"So tell me, what's with the look on your face of wanting to beat someone out of a rage?"
Adele said angrily. "It's not because of that man."
I'm a little confused, the man? Which person?
Could it be Edna? She's got something new in mind.
"It's that Deborah," Adele said unhappily. "God knows why she's showing up in front of us again."
"Deborah?" I asked curiously. "Who is it?"
It was an unfamiliar name, but I don't know if it was Adele's tone or something else, but I had an uncomfortable feeling at the back of my mind when I heard it.
Adele saw that I didn't understand and repeated again. "It's the ex-mate who betrayed her brother!"
"Oh!" I finally knew why she had such an attitude. "What's the point of bringing her up properly, it's all in the past, how can she still come to your brother's door and pester him? Your brother is now an Alpha of the Blue Moon Pack."
Who knew that just after saying this, Adele started jumping like a little monster with fried hair. "That's right! That's the one! She's a bitch. she's coming to Aaron's door!"
I stopped her from saying. "Adele! No swearing!" Only after saying this did I react to what Adele said in the second half of her sentence and asked with some shock. "You mean, she came to Blue Moon Pack?"
Adele said with a fierce nod. "That's right! I didn't see her in person, but I caught her scent and Sam told me secretly to keep it from you for now!"
Don't tell me that Aaron likes to have his sister around, even if it's work, he will rarely leave her, usually she is too bored to run out, and this time deliberately left her, which means that what Adele said is nine times out of ten true.
"Looks like I'm going to have to stay here a little longer."
Fog interrupted me mercilessly and said. "Are you sure you're not about to be evicted?"
I choked for a moment before continuing. "I wonder what Deborah's purpose is this time, if it's to get back together, Aaron's nature would never accept it, but what if it's for the Blue Moon Pack?"
Fog said. "For her to be Aaron's mate in the first place, she must not have been a dumb person like Edna, or at least would have had some finesse and backbone.
"Then we can only wait for them to finish. If it's really about Blue Moon, I don't think he'll hide it, after all, it's about Blue Moon's future.
"So." I turned to Adele. "She's the honored guest we've been waiting so long to welcome this time?"
"What kind of honored guest is she?" Adele frowned back at me. "She's not a distinguished guest, if we knew it was her at the beginning, my brother wouldn't have let her in the Blue Moon Pack's door."
"I would be even less so." Adele's eyes cold down much like her brother's, both just as fierce. "Anyway, I'm not going to let her stay here."
"Adele," I called out to her, but didn't know what to say, and thought for half a day before saying carefully. "Don't do anything stupid, Aaron must have his own plans."
This time she didn't behave like she did before, she just looked at me and tilted her head. "But I have my plans, too."
Reader's POV
Meanwhile, the other side.
"Aaron, I had no choice but to do that in the first place."
Aaron interrupted her impatiently and said. "You didn't come just to talk about something like that."
Deborah had to gather her emotions and say. "Well, let's not talk about that, I'm here to help you this time."
