Chapter 68 Vegetative

Ava's POV
Time seemed to stand still for a moment. I couldn't hear a single sound. Kate's screams, Carson's shrieks, and my own gasps.
I swear I've never hated myself so much.
I hated myself for not being able to do anything at this point in time. I hated myself for all the sad things I had said to him earlier.
It wasn't until this moment that I remembered the way Kate looked at me before she left that day. She said that since we love each other, what is the unbridgeable problem?
Yes, by now I must admit it. All my previous indifference and rejection was not only that day when I left Blue Moon Pack, his attitude stung me.
In fact, at that time, sadness and anger mixed together, even I myself can not figure out what kind of traces his words left in my heart.
I also had suspicions that these people might not have been sent by him. But I have been deceiving myself, never thought to seriously investigate the matter to clear his name.
When he sneaked into Bright Moon Pack alone and came to me, I was a little touched in my heart. I wanted to give him a chance, I wanted to hear his explanation. I wanted to hear him tell me himself that he liked me. I want to hear his apology and remorse.
But when he really stood in front of me, I didn't want to hear it again.
I felt that everything he said was a lie and he didn't mean it.
Even if it seemed to others that he had gone to the lowest level of gesture. But it was not enough.
At my saddest, most desperate, most angry moment, I even thought of using the information I got in the Blue Moon Pack to attack him, to destroy his home. To make him my prisoner and then humiliate him in front of everyone. And then finally abandon him.
But didn't I end up doing nothing? I remained quiet in my pack, choosing to let time heal all the wounds on my heart.
Wasn't that enough? Does this mean that my feelings for him are no deeper than his feelings for me? And who is anyone else to ask me to forgive him?
"Do you know what he did to me?" I said angrily to my own sister Kate at the time.
LOL! I can still remember Kate's reaction to this day.
I knew that no matter which side did the wrong thing between Aaron and me, us, she would stand firmly on my side.
And she sure did. Even though I had treated him that badly, she came up to me and hugged me, telling me, "It's all in the past. All he wants now is to be forgiven by you."
It doesn't go away. I said that to myself in my mind at the time.
But now I understand. The past really doesn't go away.
The past never even dies.
Only the wounds left on both of us can slowly heal with the care and comfort of each other.
He used to be such a proud and arrogant person, but at this time, he knows this better than I do.
I grew up proud of my excellence, my medical talent. But now it has come to this. No matter how good I am, how outstanding my medical talent is, I can't pull him back from death at the moment he is going to die.
But it doesn't matter, I will stay with him.
Whether he is dead or alive, I am determined to be with him.
At the moment he closed his eyes, I gently bent down and covered my lips on his neck.
I didn't know if he would feel anything at that moment. But I felt as if my whole being was immersed in lava about to burn, that belonged to the soul of the trembling and burning.
We will become mates.
Forever ......
Reader's POV
Half a month later, Kate came out of her office, and her maid darted forward to take the papers in her hand.
Kate asked, out of habit, "Where's the Alpha?"
The maid froze for a moment, then came up to her and told her in a very low voice that Alpha was in the room of the guest from the Blue Moon Pack.
This news made Kate, who was ready to go to her sister, stop, and she subconsciously covered her chest and asked her with a frown, "How could he be there? Is something wrong?" Could it be that something had happened to Aaron?
The maid saw the expression on her face knew she might have misunderstood and hurriedly explained: "I heard that the guest's situation had finally stabilized, and the Alpha heard it and said to go over and take a look." The result has not come out until now, and did not send someone over to their Luna to say a word.
Kate more uneasy, thought simply took her with him to the treatment room.
Said the treatment room is actually Ava's private office.
From the time Ava was fifteen, the rooms on that floor were at her disposal and were converted into a laboratory treatment room and her private office.
Ava spent most of her time there, and even the bed and chair in the office were more comfortable than those in her own bedroom.
Kate walked upstairs while envisioning all sorts of events that might happen.
For example, after lying for half a month Aaron finally woke up the two are now hugging and crying, and then her obstructive husband could only stand aside and awkwardly spectate.
As a result, when she reached the office door, she heard muffled cries before she went in.
Kate was instantly frozen in fear at the door, not daring to go in.
Finally, it was a gust of wind that blew over and allowed her to show her face in front of everyone.
Kate looked over at the group of people huddled in the room. Her Alpha was really standing as awkwardly as one would expect, looking unsure of what to do. Her sister was still the same as before, without any expression, turning and changing the person in the bed.
But what was different was that there was an extra little girl giving her a hand.
Who is this?
Kate thought to herself in wonder.
Instead, the strange man who had been sitting on the couch by the window saw her and stood up to greet her:
"Hello?"
"Hello ......?" Kate replied with some stammering, "You are?"
Carson, like finally liberated, flew over to stand beside her and shook her hand, then nodded to everyone and introduced in a warm tone:
"This is my partner, Luna from Bright Moon Pack, and Ava's sister. Kate."
The man at the window didn't look terribly surprised by the introduction, nodding and giving her a smile: "Beta of Blue Moon Pack, everyone calls me Sam."
It was the little girl who had been running around helping that turned her head to look at her when she heard her name.
Sam noticed and pointed to her: "She's Aaron's sister, Adele."
"Adele." Kate smiled, remembering which one this was, "Hello."
"Hello." The little girl nodded at her, gave her another look, and turned to go expertly to the cabinet to get her medicine.
Several people in the room went about their business, and for a moment it was all quiet, only the sound of Adele's footsteps and the sound of Ava operating various medical devices could be heard.
The monitor was still ticking.
"Still nothing new." Kate asked in a low voice.
Carson heard a shake of his head, "It says it could be a vegetable, maybe just lay there forever."
And because of that Ava asked him to pick up Adele and the others.
It is said that the call of a loved one can make the soul sleep to wake up again.
But according to Carson, I guess it is unlikely.
The situation was too dangerous, Aaron almost did not even make a sound on the fall, just the back of the head knocked on the ground sounded like it was about to crack, Carson did not have any great illusions.
But who would have thought that Ava could really pull him back a little from the line of death?
Who would have thought that she would dare to form a mate relationship with Aaron at the last moment when he closed his eyes?
She did not think, in case Aaron really bad situation died, she should do?
Carson looked at the busy figure, shook his head helplessly and grabbed his Luna's hand, "Go out."
Kate looked at him, and did not say anything more, followed him out together.
In the wake of them followed closely out there is Sam.
After waiting a while longer, Aaron's little sister Adele also came out.
Several people looked at each other, all helplessly smiled.
Can't help it, since Aaron became such has been Ava so care over. The pressure does not allow anyone to intervene.
At first Kate also thought to find someone to rotate, so that their sister to rest a little. The result was that the person who came was scolded out in ten minutes. Even Kate was fiercely beaten, and that was all that could be done.
"Let's hope he gets better soon."
Carson sighed and said, "If this keeps up, don't one lie there and the other go down."
Adele was convinced and nodded along. She had heard about it when she came before, and it wasn't very difficult to take it in now that she had eased up. After looking at it, it wasn't her brother that worried her the most now. Rather, it was Ava.
But in fact, they are worried together Ava herself is not as depressed as several other people think.
Ava's POV
I never thought he wouldn't wake up.
Even though I know there are many examples of this and that in this world, I never felt that Aaron would be one of those examples.
He did end up being strong and did deserve everyone's trust.
I believe this time is no different.
He will definitely climb out of the abyss of danger and death little by little, as he did countless times before, and then smile towards the sky. As if nothing in this world can defeat him.
Even I am the same.
After gathering the tray and gauze at hand, I sat down and lifted the blanket and started to massage his hands and feet.
This is something that I have gradually gotten used to over the past half month. Without massage a patient lying in bed for a long time may get bedsores or form blood clots in the blood vessels, both of which are dangerous for a vegetable.
As I massaged, I whispered to him what was happening around me today.
The leaves are falling, winter is coming. Adele came and leaned over the bed and called her brother many times, saying she had forgiven him long ago.
The little potted plant you gave me has grown a few more leaves, and I wonder if it will make it through this difficult growing period.
The squirrel in the tree outside the bedroom is recently preparing to store grain, and I often see acorns rolling down the windowsill.
Talking about it, I got sleepy.
I took off my clothes and lay down next to him.
This was the nineteenth day I had spent with him after forming a companionship after separation, but he had never fulfilled his due diligence as a husband.
I closed my eyes and felt the warmth of his body rise slowly to sleep.
In my sleep, I felt the hand I was holding seemed to move slightly ......
