Chapter 38: Quarrel

Reader's POV
For the first time Aaron felt that he might have made a significant advance in his illness, for up until this point he had struggled to control himself without causing him to choke the female wolf in front of him.
"Get away from me." He growled lowly and began to feel the bones in his spine click together.
"Don't do this Aaron." Deborah couldn't understand why he was reacting this way.
She couldn't quite figure out why he was so completely unrelentingly angry now when he had been so gentle and had given himself a gift when he had heard her come at the door to his room earlier.
He obviously still has a little nostalgia for himself, isn't it?
Otherwise, he wouldn't have said, "But I'm still glad you're here".
Deborah thought there was still a chance for the two of them.
Although ...... her mind reverberated with Edna's words.
She gritted her teeth, "Don't do this." She paused, not about to continue to irritate this man when his heart hadn't fully returned to her, "I seem to have reached out to you many times, but you always refuse."
Deborah slowly thought about what she had said and still didn't see anything wrong with her actions.
It was as if in her mind she and Aaron still had that kind of relationship, and she always felt that she and he would come together again sooner or later.
As for Bertha? She should go to the side.
She now knows that Aaron and she already have a little bit of meaning, if you let them continue to develop, there is what they have to do?
Is she really here to apologize for what happened before and help Aaron out?
It's ridiculous, when has she Deborah ever been so kind?
So it's normal to do what a lover should do now, isn't it?
She still has the beauty and seductive power; she does not feel completely unattractive to Aaron.
Unless Aaron already hated her to the point where he didn't want to see her at all and wanted to kill her as soon as he met her, or unless Aaron already had another person in mind as his MATE.
Deborah suddenly narrowed her eyes, "I know you probably just identified the wrong person." She said, "That's okay."
This statement made Aaron slightly calm at the same time once again raised his heart.
What was she trying to say?
"It was the doctor, wasn't it?" Deborah stared at him, but her tone was soft, very soft, "You have some thoughts about her, don't you?"
Aaron felt his temples explode with a few sharp, painful jumps as he tried to make his voice sound calm, "Nothing like that." He said.
"And it's rude of you to ask too many questions, I don't think we're in a relationship where we can discuss such things."
"Ah, of course." Deborah smiled, still standing still, "I apologize for my rudeness, but I was just curious. After all, she really does look different, doesn't she?"
Almost subconsciously, Aaron tried to affirm her words, but he quickly reacted.
"What's different? I don't feel it." He replied in the coldest voice he could currently disguise, while his heart began to beat violently.
Can't bring Bertha into this. He thought.
He knew what a vicious and well-disguised woman Deborah was, and if she set her sights on Bertha, it would probably be dangerous for her.
"Then look." Deborah moved forward a little and said gently, "Since you have no thoughts about anyone else at the moment, and if you don't have a MATE relationship, what's not to like about getting closer to me?"
"I know you well enough don't I?"
"And know what you really need."
You don't know.
Once again, Aaron felt offended.
He stared hard at the other man and said aloud in his mind:
"You don't know anything."
Do you think it's still seven or eight years ago?
Do you think everything is still the same as it was at Plain Garden?
I need that.
I need nothing more than your head and body to place on the steps in front of the Hall of the Spirits to pay homage to my dead parents.
What I need is your blood to wash away the foul traces left by everything from that downpour so many years ago.
I need you to pay for the lives of all the people I love!
"Kill her. Kill her!"
He heard Rick growl loudly.
"Get out."
"What?"
He lowered his head, trying hard not to shake:
"Get out!"
The other man was silent for a moment.
Aaron's agitation simply reached its peak, and he gave up on continuing the conversation and walked straight toward the door.
"Aaron!"
Deborah shouted after him, "Where are you going?"
She felt like she was about to explode with anger.
This man was completely soft and hard, and the end result of being gentle or not gentle with him seemed to be the same, no change.
Without saying a word, Aaron kicked open the door to his room and went out.
"Aaron!"
Deborah stomped in place, still followed, until downstairs to finally catch up with each other.
She yanked the other woman's arm, ashamed and angry at his complete rejection:
"If you don't want to do this."
She said viciously, but in a soft voice, "Then don't think about anything."
"I will not agree to any of your conditions."
"It had better be." Aaron's eyes had turned red, his voice hoarse and low, but with a smile on his face, "Then don't agree to anything. You."
He gestured to Deborah, who was standing frozen in place, and pointed outside, "Get the hell out of Blue Moon Pack right now!"
Deborah was completely stunned by this situation, which seemed to tear her face apart, and she stood there, her lips slightly open, with even a hint of the smug smile she had just threatened this man with.
There were so many people around her, but she seemed to be standing alone on some stage, surrounded by darkness.
She was playing a clown.
The farce, which took place right where the crowd had gathered, soon attracted everyone, who gathered around their Alpha and looked at the terrible expression on his face.
Someone quietly suggested whether to go get Bertha to save the day, and was covered by the others without any mercy at all.
"Find what find! Are you crazy? Can't you see what time it is?"
The person who was covered his mouth stared at his own eyes struggled for a while, finally broke free, just to speak and was yanked, he looked up, their ugly face Bertha also came over.
Sam had to come, he believed he did not come Aaron can definitely make on the spot to kill Deborah such things.
The woman was too annoying.
"What's going on?"
He stood in front of the two, and Aaron's whole body looked grumpy. But thankfully, there was no sign of an attack.
No one answered him.
"Go back." He looked at Aaron, who didn't respond much, so he waved to the man beside him, "Send Miss Deborah back to her own room, she looks like she needs rest."
Now she was quiet, rolling her eyes and looking at them, then followed the man beside her without saying a word.
Sam sighed and gave Aaron a tug, pushing him upstairs.
Aaron struggled a little less than willingly.
"Let's go." Sam whispered, "Do you want Adele or Bertha to see?"
Aaron was pushed up the stairs, still with a look of impending outburst, and Sam was careful to keep a safe distance from him.
He was not sure of Aaron's current state, if he suddenly became ill now, he might have to explain himself here.
When he got to the room he turned back and closed the door before asking.
"What happened between you guys again? What stupid thing did she do to mess with you again?"
Aaron didn't say anything and spread his hands out for him to see his room.
The room was a mess like a typhoon, the table had turned to powder, the couch was fine, but it had been kicked over and had seventeen or eighteen footprints on it, Sam asked him in confusion.
"You guys had a fight in here?"
After the question he responded that this was Aaron's house and not his office, "How did she find this place?"
Aaron didn't know.
He bent down and sat on top of the couch he had tipped over, not caring one bit if it could still be fixed, although the cushions on it were still made for him by Adele.
Sam didn't know what to say anymore, standing in place for a moment glowering then patting him on the shoulder; "Anyway, our plan has begun." He told Aaron to think about how many days were left until the coronation, "Just for a while, just go along with her, do whatever she wants and try to keep her satisfied."
Aaron gasped at him, "Okay." He nodded, "I'll move out now."
"Move out?" Sam looked at him in confusion and shock, "Where are you going?"
"Wherever you want." Aaron said as if he was gambling, but also as if he was serious, "The study is fine. If I can't I'll move in with Adele, and there are plenty of empty rooms on the seventeenth floor anyway."
But the idea was spurned by Sam.
"Don't think I don't know what you have in mind." He said sarcastically and annoyed, "You think you're going to change something by going to be neighbors with Bertha now? That it will make her think you're really all in love with her and that you're just putting on an act with Deborah, your old lover?"
"I suggest you better stop messing with her." He concluded by admonishing his Alpha, "You'd better be able to stay as far away from her as possible, and Adele as well. If you really aren't going to get them involved, you'd better keep your distance from them."
Aaron looked very unhappy with his words as he muttered something about 'none of this makes sense, they'll be sad' and slowly picked up the pad his sister had made for him and the precious fountain pen he wanted to give to his sweetheart and stuffed it into his arms.
"Then you can stay here." He said to his beta, "If you're not worried about someone standing next to your bed in the middle of the night."
"That's definitely not possible." Sam said bluntly, "If you can't stand it you can just go to her bedside too, and then just bite her neck or stab her to death, just so you can get your revenge."
"Remember to use Tom's knife."
The two men's pointless argument finally ended.
Aaron stared at Sam thinking, if only Tom was really there, he would never say something so outrageous, what do you mean 'do whatever she wants and try to make her satisfied'?
Sam felt that Aaron was like a negative man, eating from the bowl and looking at the pot, and Deborah was understandably unclear, but he was still thinking about messing with Bertha. He does not think about whether he is still worthy of people Bertha.
"Anyway, I don't want to touch a finger of her, I feel disgusting." Aaron said desperately, "If you don't help me figure it out, then I'll handle it myself."
Rick, who had always been uninformed, agreed, "That's right, even if you choose a partner, you won't choose her. I see Bertha is just fine, and can fight and tough, her wolf must be great too."
Whether her wolf was great or not Aaron did not know, but he now knew that Sam must have been in a bad mood.
"If you really can't even act anymore." He rubbed his chin and looked at Aaron, "Then we'll move the plan up and go straight to action at the coronation."
