Chapter 55 Confrontation
Ava's POV
Just as I heard those words, I saw everyone surrounding Deborah take two steps back and move very neatly to keep their distance from her.
This made me want to laugh a little.
Honestly I don't know where I got this character and problem from. No matter how critical the time I can not control myself to think about something completely irrelevant, or laugh.
Laughing will make everyone become less serious, I know, but I can not control myself.
So I saw Deborah, whose face was still a little stiff or flustered, suddenly turn her head and glare at me.
I couldn't hold it in any longer and twisted my face away and started laughing silently and maniacally.
"Stop it Ava." Misty's voice sounded very flustered, "Do you know what time it is?"
I knew she was trying to get me to start getting into a state of readiness, or at least should start being alert, however I couldn't do it.
All I could feel was the muscles in my stomach twitching and starting to ache from the violent laughter, and the wound on my shoulder tearing a little from too much movement.
"Stop!"
Misty's voice started to get grumpy, "Are you crazy?"
I'm not crazy.
I was normal as hell.
It's just that when I saw the faces of all these people present, including all of Adele's, looking at me, oh God, believe me, even you can't help but laugh.
Probably because my state did look abnormal, Aaron for the rare time did not first question something else came over to try to help me up.
"Are you okay?"
He suddenly stopped in the middle of his walk and his eyes began to look blank and worried, I guess because of the dress I was wearing or the wound on my shoulder.
He turned his face toward Adele and his tone was hard: "What happened?"
Adele's first reaction to seeing him was to jog forward a few steps, perhaps to pounce on him as she had done before, but for some reason, she didn't.
She just looked back at me. A very simple look at me, no emotion in it, but I do not know why, my nose sore, in this moment almost have the urge to cry.
I opened my mouth and wanted to call out her name. But she had already turned her head back.
"I don't know what's going on." Adele whispered, "but I saw her doing it to Bertha when I came here, and she tried to kill her."
My heart contracted violently and my mouth opened to say nothing.
It was too easy to misunderstand that statement.
Regardless of when Adele had arrived, or that she had indeed said a true statement, there were not only the three of us present, but also Deborah's men and some of the people from the Blue Moon Pack, all of whom had watched what had just happened and heard our conversation.
Although some of the words were not very clear to hear.
Anyway, Adele's words were like pouring a glass of water into a hot frying pan, and the whole scene became out of control.
I heard the suppressed gasps of countless people. They were standing right behind Aaron, they hated Deborah as much as he did, and at his command, they would immediately come forward and tear her apart.
"Get her out of here." Mike's voice was as loud as ever, with some trembling when you listened closely, "We don't need such an ally in the Blue Moon Pack, and we refuse such a Luna!"
"Get out!" His group of brothers who were afraid that the scene was not lively enough without a fight hurriedly joined together to show their attitude, "Keeping her is keeping a scourge."
"That's right." Another person also said very loudly, "She can sneakily organize assassination this time when she looks at Bertha in a bad way, and next time it will be someone else who is unlucky."
God, actually I don't know this person at all.
In the midst of all the noise, only a few people remained silent.
Aaron's face was hard to see, and kept staring at Deborah without speaking. Adele clutched the corner of her brother's coat and hung her head close to him, so I couldn't see her face at all.
But I knew she was in a bad state.
She probably didn't know she had a little habit. She subconsciously shakes her pinky when she is nervous and panicked, and now, I have seen her pinky fingernails showing scratching Aaron's shirt.
This can't be.
I thought.
Deborah since I already know my true identity there is no reason will only come to me to show off a little and then find the opportunity to result in me so simple, she must have very definite evidence in hand.
I am not destined to have any chance of turning around and cannot drag Adele down with me. After all, I will not stay in Blue Moon no matter if I die or live, but Adele will continue to live here.
But in the silence, I don't know who started it, but first the sharp claws tore through the fur, and a howl rang out in the small library, and then one after another quickly spread.
In the daytime, when the sun was at its highest, the wolves' unique howl resonated throughout Blue Moon Lodge.
I had only just figured out how I was supposed to act, and felt my whole body freeze when I heard the commotion, and subconsciously looked over towards Adele. She seemed to feel it and shivered violently.
Soon, the voice belonging to Sam appeared outside the attic.
Sam was the beta of the wolf pack, and his arrival meant that the elites and warriors of the pack were here.
The smell of blood filled the entire library, bookshelves were knocked over, and pages were scattered all over the place.
I could no longer care less about what I was in, the only thing on my mind at this time was Adele.
What the hell did she do when Aaron and I didn't find out?
Reader's POV
In fact, Aaron was also surprised.
He probably owes his awakening to the injury he sustained to his paw last night.
He knew from the beginning of the treatment that his body was very sensitive to drugs for various reasons, for other wolves a little anesthetic is probably such a simple thing as stunned, but on his body is likely to sleep for a whole day!
What? You say that berserk will make the body's various hormones rapidly secrete to speed up metabolism? Don't be ridiculous. It will only be more magical than magic here.
A little anesthetic can make him completely and utterly change from a berserk state from a wolf to a big dog, and his mind quickly regains clarity. (Although it may still be a little dizzy)
Because of this reason, Bertha was never very careful with his medication, she rarely let him take organic chemicals directly such things, more just herbal medicine.
This kind of thing will make him get better a little slower, but the effect is very good. There are not so many side effects that make people desperate to die, and they don't let people eat a pill to get their blood pressure up.
In fact, this is the reason why Aaron so many years of illness only now began to receive treatment and so resistant to take drugs.
Not that he is not willing to treat, but treatment for him is simply a physical and psychological disaster of great proportions.
He once said this to Bertha, "when a doctor came over and gave me a whole bunch of drugs after shining all kinds of instruments and lights on me ......"
Bertha was curious, "where to so many drugs?"
He didn't have the heart to say that people made a list of his own to buy, for which he also had to trade with humans for half a day, almost allowing him to be abducted as a test subject.
These are not important, and it is too ridiculous to say, he intends to pretend that he did not hear and continue: "I ate this and that as he said, but after eating began to vomit white foam and fainted."
Once fainted is two or three days, was called to wake up and continue to faint.
"So from that time on I decided never to take someone else's medicine."
Bertha laughed after hearing this, not showing any compassion that he should have as a doctor. It made him secretly embarrassed in his heart for a long time.
Off topic, in any case, if not for some blood flow from yesterday's injury, blood circulation perhaps accelerated the metabolism of drugs? He may be lying in his own bed until now can not get up, but also may be until now are still doing with Bertha partner should do things.
Thinking about his partner, Aaron couldn't help but secretly touch his back with his hand.
There is now painful and itchy, when he washed himself in the morning he took a look, all some nail scratch marks.
So the question arises, why he, the man who works now still feels his belly and thighs are a little sore and tender, and his Bertha (let's say it can be his, right?), who should have been lying in his arms slowly waking up, is now sitting woefully in the library with the murderer who poisoned him last night?
Shouldn't she be getting some rest now?
Aaron wondered, did she already know that Deborah had poisoned her last night so she woke up and went straight to her?
Yes, our smart and considerate Alpha called drugging.
Although the two also look similar.
Or was she really resistant and disgusted to have done something like that with herself?
Aaron's heart was panicking, knowing that the first time if not gentle would leave a very bad impression on his partner and could cause serious psychological problems.
He was already very ungentle the first time he met her, and now he did that.
But these are not major problems at the moment, they can be left for later.
The main question is, what is this scene now?
Deborah really can't help but to directly towards the Blue Moon Pack to start a war?
Sam intends to go along with the other side directly on the action?
Just because I was drugged yesterday?
Am I that important?
Aaron was bewildered and flustered and worried.
In addition, who can tell why his sister also appeared here, and gave him such a big gift?
Aaron, of course, would not really take his sister's explanation of a sentence without any emotion seriously, although he did feel that his sister was right. But now the situation is obvious, she misled everyone to get the information that this Deborah to kill more people, and then ready to lead the leader to incite everyone's emotions ready to come to a melee.
Aaron is not surprised that his sister would actually do such a thing.
But he cared only one thing, Adele, why in the end she did this.
