Chapter 6 Heartbeat

Ava's POV
I seemed to be tied with ropes all over my body in this instant, unable to move as I watched his face get closer and closer.
He had a nice smell, like snowy pines and that mint floating on the liqueur, with a hint of coolness, yet fiery and thick, and the moment he bent down completely, like a great net falling from the sky, completely enveloped me.
I could clearly feel the temperature of my ears and cheeks begin to rise along with his nasal breath spitting on my face, and the hairs of sweat on the back of my neck stood up one by one.
This is not a safe enough distance, I quietly admonished myself in my mind.
I should have stepped back a little more, just a little, and then brought my knee up to his crotch.
As for the injury or whatever first do not need to consider, anyway, he is strong enough, is not it?
I quietly moved back a little and then lifted my heel. But the moment I was ready to make a move, the corners of his eyes twitched gently, and the hand propped on the wall behind my head quickly withdrew, taking two steps backward.
Great opportunity!
I gave a quick stomp on the wall, and with that force, I would be a little faster, enough to change direction before he closed in again.
But I didn't expect that his backing off was just a fake move.
His last step landed in a position that didn't really count as a distance, and before I could make a move he was one step faster, pouncing again, then clutching my wrists and pressing them against the wall, while still holding his leg against my calf.
There is obviously no point in admitting that my fighting skills are inferior to his at this time. What's more, I can't fight him again here in this condition, it would attract everyone to look around.
With that in mind I simply relaxed my body against the wall and raised an eyebrow at him. "Hey."
He obviously hadn't realized what was going on and looked up at me with a wary stare, as if he would be thrown over my shoulder to the ground in the next moment. "What?"
"What's your name." I said.
"Aaron," he answered me coldly. "You can't remember people's names at all?"
I noticed that when I asked this his eyes started to become displeased, which satisfied me.
"I'm not very good at remembering people's names." I said with a smirk.
This is of course a false statement, even if a hyena fought with me, I will remember its name.
But he ignored me, still holding my hand down and staring at me, not knowing what he was thinking.
"Okay, okay, Aaron," I rolled my eyes at the sky." So are you going to let go of me now?"
Said I tried to struggle a little, and it did not help.
I was a little confused as to what he meant by putting on a flirtatious face and staring at me by himself.
But when it comes to flirting, although never been in love, but should always have seen a few Hollywood films, not just that?
I smiled at him.
"Such a look of reluctance, what? Before kissed me once, addicted? But then again ......" I deliberately paused for a moment.
"I almost didn't even notice it was a kiss. You're an incredible kisser."
I sighed as I shook my head. "Even a fifteen year old boy should know that it's useless to kiss someone with nibbles and bites using only your teeth."
I looked at Aaron's increasingly dark face with satisfaction, and my heart was happy, like drinking a glass of mojito with ice in the heat, cold and bubbly.
The next second, however, his head came up toward the nest of my shoulder blades before I even had a chance to tilt my head. A few silvery strands of hair gently swept across my cheek, tickling it a little. The warm touch at my ear made my whole body feel stiff.
His lips gently close to my ear, separated by a little distance, exhaled breath burning and hot, but the tone of voice is cold unlike the man who just now was blushing because of poor kissing skills.
"Since you are already in Blue Moon, behave yourself or the price you may not be able to afford."
If it weren't for his actions, the words would have been a little more threatening.
I did not come back to my senses for a while because of this gap between action and language, opened my mouth and wanted to laugh at him for two sentences, but I did not expect him to finish with his hand up, turned around and left, without any intention of turning back.
I was left standing alone.
I almost wanted to go after him and punch him hard twice.
Just now that man's action reaction is simply intentional, right! Absolutely, Shoot!
Fog whispered slowly in my ear. "Ava, your heart is beating fast."
I didn't have the heart to answer her. "I'll be damned if my heart isn't beating fast."
Fog was silent for a while, and just when I thought she wouldn't make another sound suddenly said. "Actually, he's not bad."
Who? Who's nice? I was surprised by the rare compliment in her tone.
"Physically capable and powerful, and good-looking, simply the perfect lover."
"When did you go blind?" I asked back in surprise.
Fog sounded more surprised. "He's not handsome?"
"It's just a face to look at, too." That face really wasn't bad to look at.
"So he's not strong?"
I thought about it and reluctantly agreed.
"It's not too bad."
Fog's voice sounded even more excited. "And he's also an Alpha of a wolf pack, status and power, all the same, you should think about it!"
What am I considering? That he can tear up three bears by himself when he loses control? Or considering the fact that the wolves in the neighborhood have heard of his infamous reputation?
Although this is not a problem either.
"Spare me, he's not at all to my taste."
"It would be too hard to match your taste." Fog's voice changed back to its slow, languid form. "I don't know what standard you like, but it's always not what a wolf should look like anyway, so maybe you'll have to meet it in another life."
Before I could retort, she said again. "It looks like you're going to end up alone in this life."
I decided I wouldn't say another word to her until I woke up again!
When I returned to the previous room there was another person inside, the little girl who had looked after me before. When I pushed the door open she was sitting at the table with both hands on her face, wondering what she was thinking about.
Looks like this should be her room?
I knocked gently on the door, she heard me and, like a cat that finally waited for its master to come home, jumped off the stool and ran towards me.
"Hello?" I stood still and smiled at her.
"H......Hi," she responded in a small voice, flashing a smile.
I noticed that her eyes, like Aaron's, were a rare and pure blue.
"You've passed the test, right?" She said. "And your room has been arranged, so you can move there now."
"If you want." She added.
I certainly did. Although this room was well-lit and quiet because of its location, the bed was simply hard and worn.
I read it when I was bored, and it was actually made of several thick planks of wood spliced together!
But what surprised me even more was that when I thanked her and went out with her, the room next door to this one, was actually her room. And she turned out to be Aaron's sister!
I didn't know Aaron had a penchant for abusing his sister.
"He let you live here?"
"No, it's not." Caroline hurriedly explained to me. "I'm the one who wants to live here, it has nothing to do with my brother. And ......"
She looked at me and said with some hesitation. "My name isn't Caroline either, I'm Adele."
Well, that I can understand. After all, I am an unknown outsider, and vigilance is warranted. But what I can't understand is her attitude toward her own living here.
There must be some reason for this, but it's not a good time to ask too many questions. And I should be more worried about myself.
I said goodbye to her with a subtle feeling and went back to the room where I belonged.
I didn't know what new situation awaited me when I woke up the next day, and frankly, before I went to sleep that day I was thinking about how to get close to Aaron again. But the opportunity came quickly, too quickly for me to prepare.
The next morning I went out with a good night's sleep, and then received the attention of everyone along the way, including his sister Adele.
That mixture of ogling as well as curious, gossipy and weird eyes. It made me feel like I had fallen into a snake pit, and my goose bumps rose.
I couldn't understand what had happened in just that short half day to make everyone look at me with such eyes.
I managed to catch one person and learned the reason from his mouth. It was because Arron and I were seen by someone in the hallway yesterday, and the rumor quickly spread throughout the Blue Moon Pack in one night.
I didn't understand what it had to do with that, but Fog told me very seriously. "Maybe they think you're kissing."
Yes, I already knew from the look in their eyes that this answer was true.
This made me feel very painful and I felt that my reputation of being innocent and single was lost forever.
However, that's not the point.
The point is, what reputation do I want for an undercover agent who is supposed to keep a low profile?
"I have to go find him." I said to Fog. "He's responsible for this, and he should clear up these rumors." I said as I walked towards his room.
However, things are often not as simple as I think. Just as I crossed the hallway and was about to go upstairs, a man blocked me.
It was a woman, a very gentle-looking woman, wearing a white dress.
She looked at me with a smile. "You're Ava?"
"I am." I answered her as gently as I could. "Who are you?"
"My name is Edna," she said. "Your hair looks beautiful, just like you yourself, a fire that is burning."
I noticed that her fingers curled slightly as she said this, which was not a sign of friendliness. At least she was wary of me and even aggressive.
"Thanks." I said. "Do you have anything else?"
"Oh." She smiled with some surprise. "Did I disturb you? I'm really sorry."
But I didn't see sorry in her smile.
She moved out of the way, then followed me without a word until she entered Aaron's room.
Hearing our footsteps as we entered, the man at the desk looked up and I saw him frown gently as he noticed we were coming in together.
The Undercover Luna
