Chapter 39 Guarantee

Reader's POV
When exactly to start is a question worth thinking about.
At least these days Aaron's only fret is this, this time by Sam raised his first reaction is to refute.
But Sam's attitude is also very determined, he stared at his brother. He had lost a lot of weight in the short time since that MATE to now, even his cheeks were sunken in.
"You have to know." Sam said in a tone that did not allow anyone to retort, "Now that everything is being prepared, the only variable is you, and I guarantee that if you do crown yourself as Alpha and merge Blue Moon Pack with Pabu Wolf Pack, she will never be able to settle down as an honored princess."
"Her demands will only get more and more rude, and then as her former companion and the Alpha who absorbed the Pabu Wolf Pack, do you plan to treat her like this today? Will you still be able to reject her without mercy like you did today?"
Aaron turned away and stopped talking.
Sam sneered, "Or do you plan to completely exterminate the Pabu Wolf Pack after your coronation, taking her along with you? And then finally announce to the entire wolf clan that you've completely removed the Pabu wolf pack?"
"What's wrong with that?"
Aaron asked him rhetorically, "They did the same thing then didn't they?"
"Let me remind you of that." Sam came around to him, "Not all of your wolf pack died in the war back then, at least half of them went to the same place as you."
Complete removal was certainly out of the question.
Not to mention the status of the Pabu wolf pack, let's just talk about the struggle between wolves.
The struggle between wolves is usually just for resources and status, you can use your own means to plunder a pack's resources or cause it to be overturned, but you can never directly wipe it out.
Take the Aaron family many years ago, when the Pabu wolves did not choose to slaughter their entire pack even after the attack, because it was against the forest law in the first place.
"My advice is to act directly at the coronation. Don't consider anything about the rest of the Pabu wolf pack, after all, you know they've been in a state of limbo since Pabu died."
"You deal with Deborah and her cronies first, and all the rest is fine."
Aaron frowned as his fingers slowly traced over the map in front of him stopping at the end of the branch of the Black Creek River, the place where Pabu's pack was located.
"I understand what you mean." He said lowly, "but I always didn't want her to die so easily."
"You know what? For many years, I thought of her, of the Pabu pack, and it was literally what I had been trying to do all my life. I thought of a million ways to treat her, but in the end, I felt bad about every one of them."
Surprised by his current attitude, Sam jerked forward and looked at the other man.
"Don't you tell me. You still have something in mind for her now!"
"I don't." Aaron responded very quickly, but his hand couldn't help but shake.
"Then what is it?" Sam forced him to look at him, "You have to give me an explanation for this strange attitude and behavior of yours. After all, you just said that touching people made you feel sick."
"I." Aaron surprisingly didn't know where to look better, he lowered his own head in confusion, his voice sounding muffled, "I just wanted to ask her why, what happened in the first place, and later ......"
Sam laughed at his words; "You wanted to ask why?" He said sarcastically, "Ask your father's murderer why she abandoned you? Or do you want to ask if she still loves you?"
His sharpness could easily stab Aaron, both before and now.
Aaron's cheeks turned red and his eyes glowed white for a moment as he struggled to keep his composure and tried to justify himself.
"I didn't." He said, "You know full well I just couldn't let go ......"
"Couldn't let go of what?!" Sam interrupted him, "Can't let go of your old flame or can't let go of the past? Are you doing this to your dead parents and Tom and Bertha?"
"How about you just ask her when she's in your arms!"
Aaron broke down and realized that it was no longer appropriate to discuss everything about Deborah, and he threw up his hands in defeat: "I'll do it at the coronation.
"I will exterminate them at the coronation." He said promise-like, "And then pursue Bertha with single-mindedness. Definitely won't think about her for another minute."
Then without waiting for any further reaction from Sam he continued, "But you'll have to apologize to me for what you just said."
"I'm asking for a result because I feel like I have a past that I can't talk about. I want to make a break with the past."
This is the only way to make a new start, otherwise I would feel that I am not worthy of the one I met now.
"Can you understand that?"
"I do." Sam's expression looked very painful, "but it doesn't conflict with doing it at the coronation ceremony, you could have done it after everything was taken care of, wouldn't that have made more sense?"
To this Aaron just shook his head and did not answer him again.
"It's always that you just hate her now and don't feel anything else is it." After a moment of silence Sam confirmed to him again, and Aaron answered him affirmatively.
"Yes."
After a pause he added, "If I hadn't thought that this was the fastest chance to get close to the Pabu wolves to settle them once and for all, I would never have let her into the Blue Moon Pack, much less agreed to any of this Pabu Princess's conditions."
"Then you should make it clear to Bertha, I have noticed that she is not too willing to go out lately."
"When did you notice that?"
I didn't expect Aaron's first reaction to hearing him say that was not anxiety or concern, but to ask such a question, and Sam thought his concern was strange: "It's not obvious.
"Isn't that something obvious? Don't you notice it yourself?"
Aaron didn't want to answer him and walked grimly to his desk and sat down.
"And, even if you didn't notice, you should always notice that Adele hasn't come to you for many days since the day Bertha helped you heal."
Hearing Adele's name Aaron felt even more annoyed with himself.
"You should tell them." Sam repeated again, "I can understand you not telling Bertha, after all, her identity is not clear enough until now, but what about Adele?"
"Adele is your own sister, don't you think she should also be involved regarding this matter?"
"She's just a kid!"
Aaron retorted with a headache, "These things have nothing to do with her."
"You're the only one who still thinks of her as a child." Sam said mockingly again, "Whatever, this is your own business anyway, Bertha or Adele, hopefully you won't have to end up crying and begging for forgiveness from anyone."
After saying that he moved very quickly to leave, leaving that hurried look as if more than a minute will be left to catch him beating.
Aaron closed his eyes tiredly and repeated in his head the plan he had already conceived thousands of times.
A long, long time later, the office door was opened again, and he assumed that Sam had brought some new news:
"What are you going to lecture me about again?" He didn't want to open his eyes, "Or have you got something better to suggest?"
There was no answer.
Aaron's eyes snapped open and he jumped up from his chair in a subconscious attack pose.
It was certainly not Sam who came, but it was also no one else, his good sister Adele.
"Adele." Aaron relaxed, slumped back in his chair again and put his legs up on the table.
"Come over to me." He ordered in a lazy tone, "Why do I feel like you've grown again?"
Adele walked slowly towards him with a cold face, not answering him, her big blue eyes that would always twinkle at him as if they were fogged over.
"How are you?" He said, then held out his hand to his little girl.
Adele nodded, but Aaron couldn't tell much good from her expression or movement.
She seemed like she was angry with herself. Aaron secretly wondered in his mind what it was about. Did that woman get into the Blue Moon Pack? Or was it Bertha?
A small hand was placed in the middle of his palm, Aaron looked down and felt a lot warmer inside.
In the past many years is like this, no matter what he met, this small hand will always bring him strength, although this time a little different, but he still sincerely hopes that it can be the same as before, accompany him through every hurdle.
"Tell me what happened, will you? Brother." Adele spoke up, her voice sounding a little shaky, "Have you decided everything?"
"Don't worry." Aaron grabbed her hand and his tone was gentle; "I promise everything will turn out fine, okay? Tell me why you say things like that. Didn't I tell you all the same that I wouldn't be with that woman again?"
"Did you?" Adele stared at him suspiciously, "But you also let her live in our pack and planned to absorb her wolf pack as well."
Adele furrowed her own brow, "I wasn't going to bother you, I know you've been busy lately."
Aaron nodded, "Yes, I know what you're thinking."
He tried to think of how to say it in a way that would make Adele understand his thoughts while not letting her know his intentions completely.
He really had very little confidence in his plan.
Deborah was too big for both him and Adele, and he could barely bear to deal with the woman, but Adele, he didn't dare take the risk.
And he didn't want her to get involved in this matter. Before Sam asked him, when the day of the coronation came, and how he should be distracted to protect Adele or her, anyway, sooner or later they are going to know about it, why not just tell everyone and face it together.
But what Aaron didn't tell Sam was that he actually had no intention of letting Adele or Bertha attend his coronation. He had also been worried about what kind of reason he should find to branch out from both of them when the time came.
"I'm just doing what I should and must do right now." Finally, Aaron said to his sister, "It has nothing to do with her, you should take your attention away from her."
This statement gave Adele a much more exciting and blunt feeling than when she had heard that kind of news from Sam or anyone else before.
What should have been a promise or a reassurance from her brother had turned into a complete patronization of the woman in her ears.
Adele gave him a deep look and left the office.
