Until We Collide

Selene's POV

It's early.

Like so early the fact that someone is knocking on my door it’s kind of rude. I role over covering my head with a pillow but the knocking continues. I climb out of my bed still holding the covers wrapped around myself savouring the warmth of sleep, I pull the door open eyes pretty much still closed.

"someone better be dead of you might be in a minute " I hear a chuckle at my words and see Dom stood there bright faced; silver eyes staring at me. He walks past me into the room taking a seat on end edge of the bed at the end.

"Well, aren’t you a ball of sunshine in the morning " Sarcasm dripping from every word.

I make my way over to him throwing myself back on the quilt covering my body and head. I yawn and then speak "What are you doing here Dom the suns not even up ".

I feel the quilt being pulled off my body and I suddenly feel a little exposed wearing underwear and oversized T to sleep in. Dom keeps pulling and I hear a low growl escape his lips he quickly stands up.

"Well Selene the silver moon warriors are coming today, and we promised you sister last night we would set up. in fact, you’re the one the who told me to come to get you at 7.30 so we can eat first " He’s avoiding eye contact with me.

I rush to stand up and grab some clothes "So I did, I’ll get dressed" I say covering myself up with my arm full of clothes.

"I’ll be 10 minutes " I turn and walk into the bathroom quickly jump into the shower letting the cool water run over me I dress in the bathroom brush my hair into a high ponytail, I always like the white streak int he fronts when my hair is like this although I’m still confused why I have it. I shrug it off and leave the bathroom taking a one-step I instantly walk into what feels like wall.

I feel an arm around my waist and another around hand on my neck thumb caressing my check and I’m suddenly pulled closer to Dom, his silver eyes now stormy grey. I don’t pull away from him; I don’t want to pull away from him, we stand like this breathing in unison staring into each other’s eyes it feels like hours have passed until and then he spoke.

"Sel, I ... can I kiss you?" The nervousness is his voice was clear, but I can’t deny I wanted him to kiss me, I liked the thought of being his, of being his mate if he was my destiny when I turn 21, I wouldn't be mad and don’t think he would be either.

"Yes “the answer leaves my lips and is echoed by Seleste in my mind.

In an instant his lips are on mine, I can’t help but lean into him my arms rising and wrapping around his neck I let out a small moan and he uses the opportunity is tongue exploring my mouth, one of his now gripping my ass. Next thing I know I’m held up against the wall my legs wrapped around his waist his kissed leaving my mouth an working his way down my neck , they brush past the spot where I’m not be marked and my body tenses towards him , a growl escaping from him again , I decide that 2 can play at this game I lightly pull his hair making his head move to the side and I let my lips brush past his marking spot .He lifts his head up his eyes now black and I know it’s no longer just Dom kissing me , we stare at one another heavy breathing between us .

Knowing we shouldn’t take this any further I pull away, Dom softly let’s go and I see the silver in his eyes returning.
We stand in awkward silence both fixing our clothes.

"I’m sorry I don’t know what came over " are the only words I can muster.

"Sel, I don’t know how it escalated so quickly but I’m not sorry, I want you and I hope the moon goddess thinks I’m a good choice for you, I’ll wait till your birthday and then we will know for sure, but I know how I feel now”.

Feeling my cheeks redden I smile at him. “I hope so too ".

"we should go we are not going to have time for breakfast soon and I’ve seen you when you’ve not had food the silver moon warriors won’t stand a chance against hangry Selene " Dom takes my hand and we head towards the door.

Once we have eaten, we head outside to meet Ryan and Arti and begin to get set up its just the 4 of us but I occasionally catch Dom staring at me, and we exchange a short smile and carry on.

"Sel, I know when we sense our mate it will feel intense but with Dom don’t you think this could be the start of it, I sense his wolf too I like him”.
"I like him to Seleste and only time will tell if he’s who we should be with, but if it feels this good with him now it’s going to be 100% better if he’s our mate."

* sometime later *

It’s now nearly 11 am Alpha Calder and his warriors arrived at around 10.30 they are currently in Eric’s office with his warriors stretching on the field in a group with their beta Sigurd he’s a pretty menacing looking guy he’s about 6'3 mousy brown curls and he is built, but then I suppose you would have to be to be Calder the colds beta.

The rest of the warriors are all normal looking all pretty burley some had unkind faces, after about 10 minutes some of the guys from our pack went over to say hello and welcome them the territory. I asked Arti if I could join the fighting today, but she said it’s only out top warriors training with them today in fact her exact words where "we want to see what they can do not watch them five someone an ass whopping " I mean I was hurt but she was right I wasn't ready yet.

I set myself up under a huge pine tree, snacks at the ready and a huge glass of cherry lemonade I kick my shoes off and lean back, if I couldn’t join, I could at least watch and take notes. I see Dom walking towards me lucky for him he was training with the silver moon pack.

"Are you staying to watch the whole thing?" He asks as he sits next wearing no top and I have flash backs of this morning.

"Sel your drooling a little there, although I suppose that answers my next question “He has a stupid smirk on his face.

"Oh yeah and what was your next question Dom? " I push I’m over so he’s now lying flat on his back.

Before he can answer I see Alpha Eric walking towards the arena, He’s followed by Arti and Ryan, but stood next to him is a tall man Dark brown hair in a sleek cut and styles to perfection he looks like he has been working out since the day he was born next to him is a smaller woman she has beautiful brown skin and has curves in all the right places she looked like a catwalk model. Then it clicks that’s Alpha Calder she is with; I didn’t know he had found his mate maybe the ball would be cancelled now.

"Dom they are coming maybe you should go." I turn and look at him he has his eyes closed so I nudge his leg.

"I’m going I’m going but make sure your eyes are only on me, I don’t want to get jealous "He sits up leans over and kisses me and then proceeds towards where the pack are.

I keep watching the crowd make introductions the wind is picking up now and then I smell it, Ginger cookies and Honey. The wolf from the forest he must be part of the silver moon pack I search their faces looking for who it could be.

Then I see him Dom he’s grabbed the woman stood with Calder and he has her in a protective stance, I see Arti glance at me and I stand up going towards them. Everyone is tense and as I get closer, I hear the small girl speak "He’s my mate Calder, we all need to calm down I’ve finally found him “. I see the tension leave everyone’s body and I too stop where I’m stood a million thoughts running through my head.

"Selene she just said Dom was her mate, I thought he would be ours " She sounds heart broken.

"I know Seleste we should be happy for him; I am happy for him " I know she knows I’m lying she feels the way our heart was punctured.
Dom snaps his head towards me finally noticing I’ve heard everything that has been said, he has a look of sorrow on his face, but I know it’s not his fault it doesn’t lessen the blow though. He leans down and whispers something in the girls ear I see him pull away from her I know he’s going to come to talk to me, but I just can’t face it right now.

I panic and I run towards the forest, I run away from all of them like a child I know Dom wasn’t my mate, but I was part of me was hoping he would be. Arti tries linking me but I shut her out I don’t want to talk.

When I reach a clearing, I slow down to a walk I can’t hear any anyone follow me, so I carry on tears streaming down my face my feet bleeding from running without shoes, he’s not my mate why do I feel like this. The I hear the last voice I ever wanted to when I’m crying and upset.
"I saw what happened with lover boy, I guess this really proves you’re going to be mine Selena " his voice is gives me chills and he walks towards me.

"Don’t come close to me Ash I’m never going to be yours I don’t want you”.

"Oh, babe it’s not about what you want, I want you and that’s enough. I know how powerful you are”.

What are you talking about Ash you know nothing about me, and the quicker you get into your head the quicker you’ll find your real mate! " He’s even closer to me now and his eyes are black he’s mad.

We instantly go into fight or flight mode we need to get out of this situation and fast.

"Selena kick him where it hurts and then run to the waterfall" I agree with Seleste Ash is so close enough for him to smell my hair now I feel disgusted.

In one swift movement I kick him hard and simultaneously push him away, I don’t know where it came from, but I push him so hard he lands about 10 feet away from me, I don’t stop to wonder what has just happened I just run.
