Selene's POV

My mouth is open, I know my mouth is open it opened the minute is asked what this has to do with me, and they glared at each other and then at me then at each other. What more could they need to tell me Dad has Alpha blood? We have Alpha blood this was a revelation on its own, why are they looking at me like the worst is yet to come.

"Arti please, what does this have to do with me? with us? " I’m Practically begging her to continue talking to me at this point.

Finally, she squeezes my had and inhales deeply like what’s she’s going to say will hurt, she then pulls a letter out and opens it I see my mother handwriting.

"Sel, this next part won’t be easy, but you have to try to understand okay? you have to understand why we waited till now to share all of this “She then stops and looks at Cynth.

"You to Cynth, there are some things you don't know, somethings mum said you couldn’t know until Sel was ready, it was in the letter, everything is in this letter " Cynth just nods she gives away no emotion.

"Mum and Dad arrived here at the silver moon, they met with Eric's father Norman he and father knew one another from some of the young alpha training sessions they had together. Norman did not turn them away he listened to them and told them he would protect them both and keep their identities a secret. For a long time, they were really happy they Mated, they married and then they wanted to have children of their own. After about a year of trying the couldn’t conceive, deep down they knew why when mum had been injured that this might happen. They saw the pack doctor and it was confirmed the depth of the original wound on her stomach has damaged her to deeply, the scarring that was left meant she was unable to carry children”.

"Arti are you saying we aren’t Mum and Dads children?" I ask her rushed and confused starting to panic.

"No Sel, we are very much the children of mum and dad. When they found this out, they were distraught Mum prayed to the moon goddess every night to help them to heal her. Part of the gifts of mother family meant they could not heal themselves of their own blood, she begged her to take away the gifts and give her a family she wanted to heal the hurt of the family she lost. Then one night she came to them both she bound them in a dream, she told mum and dad she could give them what they wanted but it would come at a cost."

"Arti what was the cost, it’s clear they did it because we are here, what did they give up?" My hands are shaking the tears are falling down my face, I can’t hold these emotions in it feels like they are about to burst.

"She told them she could give them the children they wanted in return she would have to give up all her gifts , Mother wanted to agree but father held back he sensed that wasn’t in when the Moon Goddess continued she said , I can give you daughters all will hold Alpha blood and all will have powers , they will hold between them the powers of the first and all those after ,there will come a time will they will have to answer to call to maintain balance but they will be the last of their kind . The last will restore the first and then the line will end. Mum and Dad argued for days they wanted this, but they had no idea what the call would be or when they could have us always or they could lose us early.

"You never told me this part Arti why?" Her voice sounds broken and angry.

"I couldn’t Cynth, when mum and dad told me, they said that some of our gifts couldn’t be determined until we were all one. They didn’t want us to know before we needed to them didn’t want it to overtake you living your life. "

Arti takes another deep breath her eyes are full of tears; she has held this for so long by herself. “Arti it’s okay you only did what you were asked " I take both their hands and squeeze them. "Please tell us the rest "
She smiles faintly squeezing her hands.

"They did not know what gifts we would be born with, typically when mum was growing up there were healers, those who could take pain could heal with just a touch. Then there are those that can fight that can move without being heard they can take away fear typically in mums pack they two were warriors and doctors. Like me and Cynthia Sel. Its why we look the way we do, why our eyes are the colour they are when we use these gifts out eyes will glow a little brighter, we get stronger in the full moon and often it can look like we are glowing”.

I instantly gasp "I’ve seen that both of you I thought I was tired, that was real?" I say sounding a little more cheerful. This seems to lighten the mood and they both give a little giggle though their eyes are still puffy.

"What other gifts are their Arti what am I?" to my surprise its Cynthia that replies.

"That’s the thing Sel we don’t know for sure yet, but we have an idea, your hair is a dead giveaway that you might be born with more than one gift and what little information I could find about mum family the colour of your eyes is rare too only one other had that eye colour, and she was the first daughter of the wolves “

"You mean to say I could have more than one of the gifts?"

Arti smiles at me softly "Yes we think you could have more than one we are certain you have gifted the same as ours but more powerful we felt it when you had your attack it’s like you were bursting at the seams it also made us both feel stronger like your presents activated something in us. From what we understand the daughter of the first could control people wolves and make them do what she wanted and not just one at a time multiple wolf "

"Arti Cynth what does this mean for me when will I know? how will I know? "

"On your birthday Sel when you first shift a mark will appear on your world and it will glow, I have an eclipse mark, two moons one light and another slightly over top that’s darker, it glows purple when I first shift and Cynth has a full bright white moon. We don’t know what you will happen, but we will be there with you when it happens does on your run”.

The air in the room is more relaxed now and we talk candidly among ourselves, we discuss Mum and Dad it feels good, Arti lets me read mums letter there a bit more information in there but the way Arti spoke she practically memorised the whole thing.

"Arti where did you get this letter? " I’ve never seen it before it must have been in mums’ things.
"When they told me on my 21st birthday they gave it to me, they told me if anything where to happen to them that I should tell you both I never thought anything would happen and then it did I knew I couldn’t break the promise”.
I not at her in approval, she did great they both did! Cynth then speaks her voice a little lighter now she has stopped crying.

"There a little bit more Sel , while we can’t heal each other or ourselves , we have other cool things we can do between the 3 of us , We can feel each other emotions not just by touch , when I turned 21 I would feel it if Arti was panicked or scared , when you turn 21 you’ll tune into us as well and it doesn’t matter how far away we are from one another , it’s how we knew something was wrong with you the other day, we can also teach you to control whatever gifts you have we can practice together "

I know I should be sad or angry or even mad my parents made a deal with the moon goddess for daughters knowing what might happen, but I honestly couldn’t be happier to share this with my sisters. They really are my entire world.

It’s been about an hour since we Cynth went to her room and grabbed pictures of our parents and us as children, then it dawned on me we aren’t doing the pack run on my birthday so what are they talking about?

"Arti what are did you mean on my birthday run, I thought we went doing it?" I ask her a little confused.

"Well, when Alpha Calder was here, we asked him if we could run on his territory as it was your birthday, and he agreed, he said he would let us run somewhere secluded and he would tell us on Friday”.

I smile at her I mean that’s nice of him, but we could just run on our own land then it clicks how could I forget that stupid alphas Ball.
