Somebody Explain

He steps towards the end of the bed his face is different there is anger and fear all over it his fists are clenched knuckles white staring deeply into my eyes like icy daggers .

"Calder what’s wrong why are you looking at me like that ? "

I can feel myself start to panic my test getting tight , I look around the room and they are all stood around up now all 5 of them surrounding my bed ,watching me struggle for breath as my panic intensifies the pain in my chest returning for the second time .

I try to contact Seleste, but I get no reply her presents is so faint .
Its threatening to overtake me until Calder moves around the bed and takes my hand in the feeling of calmness washed over me the pain subsiding, but my eyes don’t leave his .

He motions for the other to leave the room and climbs onto the bed next to me Art and Cynth don’t look please but they all head towards the door Ryan giving me a short smile as he softly closes the door.

I turn to Calder hoping that he can feel my panic .
"Will you please talk to me I’m freaking out "

He sighs and grits his teeth.
"*Not now Selene you need sleep* " He pulls me in close and doesn’t say another word .

I lay there in the warmth of his chest but it’s not enough I remember everything that happened with those wolves , they shifted when I told them too they left when I told them to and honestly I’ve never felt more powerful and then I woke up here . Why won’t he talk to me , I hesitate before pulling away from his chest remembering the flashes of him with Revna .

He sits back up and I feel his eyes on the back of my head while I throw my legs over the side of the bed and attempt to stand to get away from him and too the beanbag. First, I catch him with someone else and now he won’t even tell me how we got back here .
He really is an ass .

I manage to take a triumphant step feeling slightly smug as I really do feel like I’ve been run over before toppling over squeezing my eyes shut waiting for the inevitable impact with the floor. but it doesn't happen two arms have wrapped around my waist and I’m not upright again eyes still firmly shut .

"*Selene , open your eyes* "

I want to open my eyes, but I also don’t so I opt to take the childish route and keep them shut .
"No Calder I don’t think I will "

"*Your so stubborn you know* "

I nod in agreement "could you take me to the bean bag "
He doesn't respond but I feel us moving I wait to be put down onto the soft material but it doesn’t happen the backs of my legs touch something cold and snap my eyes open Calder stood between my legs and I’m on top of the bathroom counter .

He runs the water and fills up the bowl still not saying a word I stare at him in silence while he dips the cloth in the water before ringing it out and bringing it towards my face .
I push his hand away and instinctively wipe my hand over my face for whatever he was about to get when I look down at my hand there is dries blood all over it I go to turn my head but he stops me pulling me to look at him.

"*Selene don’t *" His words are quiet, and he wipes my face as he brings out the cloth, I snap me head around to look at the mirror and my words escape me .
My face is covered in dried blood from my nose and ears and my eyes are still glowing green .

"Calder what’s happening to me ?" I hear the panic in my own voice, and it knocks me back.

"*Selene , let me finish cleaning you up please then I’ll explain*"

I look at him and nod , he then wipes more blood from my face, and I watch as the water turns a deep red each time.
This man confuses me I want him I have this need to be near him, but I cant shake some of the things he does we are constantly being pulled together and pulled apart.

**Calder's POV**

I have no idea what I’m going to say to her how do I even explain this as soon as we got back to the house her sisters were there waiting in their wolf form they felt her power and it drew them to her both of them were pissed snarling at me until I put her down .

I finish wiping Selene's face and scoop her of the counter and carry her back into the bedroom , a few times she looked down at her clothes and I know she has seen the dirt and blood so after I sit her down on the bed I grab her some clothes from her draw .She takes them from me but doesn’t get changed .

"*Calder would you mind turning around* "

I turn my back to her listening as he clothes come off wanting nothing but to turn around and scoop her up.
"*I’m finished , you can turn back around now* "

She’s sat on the bed looking her hair now tied in a messy bun her shorts riding up a little , Vidar had such a desire to be with her I let out a small grown of appreciation .She lets out a small laugh and I smile erupts across her face .

I head towards her to take a seat next to her , I take a second struggling to find the words to even begin I turn to her eye lit up and staring through me.
"Sel" I pause and take a deep breath .
"When you did what you did , I’ve never felt power like it ,if wasn't already shifted I think I would have as well"

She goes to speak but nothing comes out, so I carry on .
"After you finished you dropped to the ground it looked like you were having a fit , then I noticed the blood from years ears in a few seconds your nose was bleeding too so I picked you up but your body was freezing, and I ran back here I linked Sigi to let him know but he told me you sisters knew they felt it and shifted in the pack house and were waiting outside "

She grabs my hand and squeezes, I know she has a lot to say but I need to finish .

"When we got here, they wouldn’t let me near you Arti carried you upstairs and Cynth started working to stop the blood flow, eventually she did she started checking your other vitals and your eyes were still glowing your body still frozen. Your sisters started talking amongst themselves about how to bring you back from this they spend 2 minutes trying all the while you were laying there completely still making only the occasional moaning noise in your sleep."

I grab her and pull her in closer to me her body now normal temperature she doesn’t resist me, but she doesn't fully submit either .
"After a while Ryan asked them what they were speaking about and that’s when they said... "

"*Calder what ! what did they say !*"

"Selene , they said they can’t feel your wolf anymore, they said their wolves were whining for her, but she wouldn’t respond "
Tears erupt from her eyes and I feel her body shaking from her sobbing. She pulls back away from me and wipes her eyes .

"*I tried to contact her when I woke up , b-b-but she didn’t reply I can barely feel her Calder !* "

I want to comfort her, but I don’t have any answers to what she seeks . I knew we shouldn't have gone to her old pack, but I gave in anyway . And now my mate is heartbroken and cannot feel her other half .I sit and hold her for what feel like an hour, but id hold her for eternity if it made her feel better.

The door knocks and she pulls away again making my heart ache she starts wiping her face I grab her hands wiping the tears from her cheeks her eyes red and swollen.
The door knocks again, and she shouts for whoever is on the other side to come in. Artemis ,Cynthia ,Ryan and Sigi all walk in single file Artemis clutching Selene’s bag and Cynthia and Ryan both holding a tray of food .

Cynth ushers Selene to sit back on the bed she shuffles to the middle of the bed Cynthia places the tray on the bedside table sisters sitting behind her. She takes each of their hands telling each of them she loves them .

Artemis then pulls the two boxes out of the bag not saying a word but tuning to Sel , all their eyes now fixated on the box .

"*Selene what were you doing at our old house ?*"

She doesn't sound mad, but I get the feeling she’s remaining calm because she doesn't want to upset her further.
"Artemis I can explain "

A look of panic spreads across her face like a child that has been caught in a lie she takes the box from Arti’s hand and as she does two of the four symbols on the box light up for just a second. They both reaches pull their hands off the box and Sel blinks her eyes snapping back to me , but they are no longer glowing they are back to the beautiful green colour they were before .

A smile erupts across her face.
"I ...I can feel Seleste again " A tear rolls down her tear but this time from happiness . She turns again to Arti and then to Cynth .
"I went back to the house to find answers"

Artemis frowns . "*Selene , what do you mean answers , answers for what ? and what the hell did that box just do your eyes they’ve gone back to normal *".

I give Sel a small nod and move from the bed to where Sigi and Ryan are , we exchange a small glance but say nothing Sigi lifts up the plate and offers me food I accept getting the feeling that the conversation the girls are going to have next won’t be easy .
Ryan and Sigi thinking the same as they both take some food all of us not wanting to intrude but unwilling to leave our mates alone.
