This Is Amazing

Selene's POV
We have pulled up to the Silver Moon pack house and honestly it is stunning as we all climb out of the car Liv pulls Dom over to meet some people she knows and is see the Beta coming over to Cynthia I figured my best bet was to go and find Dot. If I didn’t know what she was wearing I would have some difficulty in finding her everyone is wearing their masks now, I stop in front of a car window to place mine on check my hair and dress then then the window rolls down.

"You look beautiful Sel, and I mean I would know I did your hair! "

"Dot, I was just looking for you I figured we could walk up to the house together "I open the car door for her and help her out she too places on her mask and we get going.

We are walking past members of our pack, and again I walk past Cynthia she seems very deep in conversation with their Beta deciding not to bother them we just walk past. We head up the stairs and we see a wide-open space filled with drinks and a small stage area, there are white roses have grown all over the awning, through the gaps you can see the moon we walk through and are handed drinks, Dot instantly spots some a group of younger male wolves from the silver moon and I can see one staring at her.

"Dot do you know him " She does not say anything for a few seconds but he’s moving towards us.

"Sel, he’s my mate " And with those words he is stood in front her arms wrapped around her waist.

Not wanting to say anything out loud I link her instead. "Dot I’m so happy for you that was also fast. I’m going to leave you guys to get to know each other but come find me before the dinner okay”.

"Sel, I can’t believe it I feel so complete and I don’t even know his name, my dad’s also going to go nuts but yay! I found my mate! "She sounds so excited I squeeze her arm and carry on exploring the welcome area.

I sip my drink smiling politely as I walk past a few people, this house is huge and it looks so old the grey stone walls, and there are carvings in some of the bricks, it truly is beautiful. The Awning is set right at the edge of the forest I stand there staring out into the distance I can hear the former Luna Freya making some kind of speech, but I don’t pay any attention I’m still in awe of these beautiful garden and house.

After a few more minutes and not wanting to appear rude I decide to pay attention the late of her speech. She is beautiful and her power radiates from her still, when you look at her it’s hard not to pay attention but also hard to fathom how someone who is so beautiful and seems, so kind bore a pup as ruthless and cold as Calder. After the Luna finishes, she states that her son Alpha Calder will make a speech in 5 minutes then we will go to have dinner.

Opting to not listen to what he has to say I walk past a crowd of people I also see Arti ,Cynth and all the important people gathered in one area , as I sneak past them I’m hit with that smell again ginger cookies and honey and this time it’s more intense I don’t know if it’s because I’m at one with Seleste but I shake it off and head inside .

I have seen a few people head this way I can only assume they are the toilets I head inside . I though the outside of this house was impressive, but the inside is on another level there is a huge double staircase with some seating placed privately just slightly underneath I assume for privacy. There’s huge paintings of former Alphas and Lunas it really is amazing.

Before I let my curiosity get the better of me as I am itching to go upstairs, I’m mind linked but Arti.
"Sel, where are you Calder is making his speech and then we are going to be seated for dinner. I’d like you to meet him."

"I’m coming Arti although I’m not sure I’d like to meet him yet; you know how I feel about him could we do it later”.

"Why are you putting it off Sel? "
She sounds a bit mad I must try and think of something that will get her off my back.

"Well, Arti, I haven't had a chance to meet everyone yet and this is about finding our mate, and seeing as its highly unlikely he’s going to my mate can I not meet him later?"

I wait for her response knowing she will not really argue.
"Okay, but you have to meet him sooner or later Sel”.

"Okay deal"

With that she closes the link.

I head back outside hoovering towards the back of the crowd while Alpha Calder finishes his speech. Through the crowd I see Dot's pink dress heading towards me her new mate still stuck to her side and another guy following behind them both.

"Selene, there you are!" She has the biggest grin on her face, and she looks so happy. Before I can respond she starts talking again.

"Sel, this is my mate Robbie. Robbie this is my best friend Selene and today is also her 21st birthday! " I extend my hand to shake his.

"Nice to meet you Robbie, I hope you’ll make my best friend very happy " As I say this, I squeeze his hand a little harder, so he knows I mean it. He just gives me a half smile and nods.

"This is Robbie's best friend Jackson”.

"Nice to meet you Jackson “he is a pretty good-looking guy.

"So Sel, we were thinking seeing as you and Jackson haven’t found your mates, yet you could accompany each other to dinner? saves you both being alone " Dot says with a huge grin knowing full well I won’t disagree.

"Well, if Jackson is happy, I’m happy " I send him a polite smile.

"I’d love to accompany the birthday girl to dinner “His voice is smooth like butter and has he speaks he lifts my hand and places a kiss on it. Felling myself blush I just nod and then link his arm.

As we walk to the house engaging in small talk, I hear a low grown come from behind me, Jackson must have sensed it too as he stopped and turned around, I can’t see anyone but that was for sure odd.

Once we are inside, I am stuck again with how beautiful this place is they have really outdone themselves it is filled with hundreds of round tables dressed in white table clothes, gold chairs and beautiful centrepieces with pure white flowers. Robbie brings us to a table, and we all sit there a few other spaces left but so far no one has taken a seat.

We are all deeply engrossed in conversation, Robbie and Jackson are both 22 and they are training to be warriors for the silver moon pack so naturally we have a lot to talk about, more so with Jackson as Robbie cannot keep his hands of Dot for a second. it’s been around and hour and a half and 4 out of the 5 courses have been served and the conversation is still flowing there’s a short break between the amazing food we just ate and the dessert.

While we are still engrossed in talking someone pulls out the remaining chairs on the table, but I do not take any notice until, I feel my chair with me still sat on it scrap across the floor. I turn around and I am faced with the ass hat that is Ash.

"Selene baby who’s your new friend " His eyes have gone dark and he has one arm firmly placed around my waist.

"Ash are we really going to do this for the third time today?" I am about to finish when my chair is pulled closer to Jackson and he places his arm around me looking super mad.

"Ash is it? I don’t appreciate you touching MY MATE that way so if you would care to crawl back under whatever hole you came out of that would be great”.

Ash is looking between the 2 of us and I realize what Jackson was doing so I snuggle closer to him.

"Is this true Selene, is he your mate? "

"yes, Ash he is we found each other earlier, that’s what I was just about to tell you " I cannot tell if he believes and I guess Jackson sensed that too, so he nuzzled my neck. Ash hands are shaking as he pushes his way from the table.

"This isn’t over Sel, I meant what I said earlier “And he walks away.

I wait till he has gone, before I pull away from Jackson and say thank you.

All of that was a bit much so I decide to excuse myself to the bathroom being sure to avoid Ash seeing me, as I’m walking out of the room, I have this feeling that someone else eyes are watching me and not for the first time tonight.
