Take What's Mine

Once his shift is complete, he digs his claws into the ground and lets out a heinous growl sending ripples of fear through our bodies like a shockwave, the rouges he bought with him now bowing their heads .

Rogues answer to no one so why all of a sudden are they answering to him bowing to him like he is there king . I’m stuck on the spot not knowing what to do next we trained but we didn’t train for this he is neither wolf nor human , man nor beast and its truly terrifying I feel someone pulling my arm behind me as I turn I see Cynthia , her ice white hair covered in blood the front clothes and hands carrying Artemis scent as the blood has coagulated on her .

*"Sel we need to move now we need to regroup "*

She doesn’t wait for me to respond instead she pulls me backwards to run with her Ryan now carrying Arti cradling her still seemingly lifeless body .Calder and Sigi eventually catch up we haven’t made it far and we will be found before long the side of the house is not exactly secret I just hope he was distracted enough to not see where we went right away .

Ryan places Artemis on the ground and I turn to Cynthia as we all shift back momentarily .
"Cynth is she going to be okay you have to help her "

I drop to my knees and stroke Arti’s black hair strands off her face.

*"Selene I can’t reach her . I don’t know what to do "* Tears are streaming down her face as she lowers herself to the ground next to me her body trembling .

*"You can’t let her die , you have to save her. you have to use your gifts and save her both of you "*

Ryan’s words are almost inaudible through sobs his eyes fixated on her . Cynthia tries to reach out to him, but he pulls away not interested in being comforted only wanting his mate. Instead her hand drops to Arti’s stomach as soon as she touches her Artemis body reacts ,Spotting this I instinctively touch her too .

"Cynthia focus on healing her channel it through me too it might not work but we have to try "
She nods a look of hopelessness on her face as she closes her eyes to focus when she opens her eyes are glowing the bright golden , I instinctively do the same focusing all my energy on Artemis .

*"Seleste , Cyrus where are you ! ... please I’m right here please ..."*

The desperation in the voice we hear is heart breaking the sound of Aria calling for us . Cyrus calls back desperate to find than her if she is alive then there is still hope for Artemis .

A wave of relief washes over as Aria get louder and louder a pair of purple glowing eyes flash before us . Cynthia remains focused while I look down at Artemis the wound on her neck beginning to fuse back together eyes fixated in awe I focus on her healing , on her taking in a deep breath . Cynthia then places a hand over injury on her neck a bright yellow glow releases from her palm .

Artemis springs back to life sitting up straight , Ryan pulls her into an embrace kissing her face all over repeatedly telling her how much he loves her, but she seems dazed .

"Ryan, I think you should take Arti somewhere safe she doesn’t seem herself"

He nods helping her off the floor .
*"I’m not going anywhere we are in this fight together , I’ll be a fine in a minute "*

She steps towards Ryan and kisses him softly then looks towards us Calder and Sigi now fighting some rouges that spotted us.

*"We have to do this , we have to get to him now and end this or he is going to kill us all " *

The determination in her voice is somewhat frightening it’s like she’s speaking with a crystal-clear outlook on the whole situation. She blink and opens her eyes to reveal 2 purple brightly lit orbs staring at us , we do the same feeling her strength radiating from her pouring into us more intently that any of the other times we have shared her gifts.

As we stood focusing on one another I hear Seleste cry out like as she feels it to .
*"Remember in mums’ letter when it said in times of peril trust your wolf , I think this is one of those times let them take over completely" *

Arti’s voice is soft and determined so I do not question it .

I just give in letting Seleste take over a warmth covering my body as we shift but it feels different no pain , no cracking just a seamless transition .
**"Seleste trust me, we know what to we will get us close enough for you all to end this "**

The sounds of her voice a moment of smooth stillness in the chaos we face in this moment.

**Arlo's POV**

I know have not gone far I can smell their powers in the air the very thing that tempts me the most drawing me , wanting to sink my teeth into each of them to drain them of their life and take what’s rightfully mine .

Looking around for them I head towards the scent some of this pathetic pack's warrior try to challenge me on the way , I swipe them to the side not even giving them so much us a glance as their bones shatter from the impact of my paw .

Then I see them , three glowing wolves all with their own hue of colour surrounding them.


The size of them before is different more domineering and its exactly what I wanted them to do to unite their wolves so when I kill them I can take the wolves to , I’ll keep them locked away in the back of my mind with the rest calling on them to help me when I need to harness their power at first they will resist they all do but it won’t take much for them to submit .

They make light work of the wolves in there way as they head towards me, they all move effortlessly so in sync with one another .Taking down mindless wolf one after the other , not that it matters these rogues , the boy and the girl were all pawns in a larger game the end goal was always them.
To take what’s mine away from them ever since I Cedrik decided to let me live with his pack I learned about the powers and what they could give me with them I would never have to be overshadowed its 30 years in the making but this is the end for them and the start for me.

Today I become king.

The 3 of them are now stalking me the rest of the pack now encasing us fighting of any wolves trying to get to the inner circle .

The Larger of the three wolves black sleek fur dives towards me first I move out of the way but my leg is struck by the white wolf her bite quick and deep but not of any consequence , they circle around again and this time I lunge forward to the black wolf with the white ear , the most mesmerising of all , she clearly does not know what she is I can see it in her eyes she has no idea once I take one the rest will weaken and they will follow .

Pushing myself on to her I pin her down on the ground she snarls and bites trying to get to any part of my flesh a push a single claw into her shoulder as he winces in pain my nails hitting the hard ground as it pierces all the way through her skin .

I’m about to bite down on her neck when I feel a sharp pain in back the 2 other wolves have their jaws buried into my flesh I look around to them preparing to throw them off of me , internally laughing at this pathetic attempt to take me down it’s like they are not even trying .

As I shake my leg throwing the white wolf off of me I feel the sharp stinging around my neck , when my head whips around the white tipped wolf has gone but Calder I stood holding the end of the silver chain that’s now firmly wrapped around my neck I try to pull away again but I’m struck again ,This time my back legs being pulled out from under me my chest crashing to the floor .

From the corner of my eye I see the black wolf leap over me her moments so fast I’m in shock , I have absorbed a power similar to hers but nowhere near as powerful .
The pain of the silver chains is stinging against my skin becoming unbearable in my wolf state I shift back the chains still firmly in place , Calder seems to smile at this so I grab the chains that are holding my legs and pull on them hard sending the obviously unintimidating Alpha crashing the floor the chains now completely in my grasps without skipping a beat I whip them towards Calder in a bid to strike him down and loosen the grip on that chain that holds my neck, it does but just enough so that I can stand up the chain still firmly in place around my neck .

I retract my claws ready for the fight that is to come .
" You know this attempt is poor you cannot in this I hold the blood and the powers of all those I killed before you, and I have yet to even use them to show you what I am capable of your all pathetic you should submit and die with dignity, die willingly for your future king "

I look around the circle the six of the three I came for now clearly mind linking one another I take the opportunity to pull on the chain, Calder’s feet digging into the ground as I pull him towards me , intent on snapping his neck while his mate watches .

My body stiffens unable to move like I have been hit with one thousand volts , her voice tearing through my mind reaching every corner , every space loud and powerful .

*"STOP! DO NOT MOVE "*

The words replaying over and over in my mind until a pair of emerald green eyes are locked onto my own , her hair now messy and the white streak now sticky with blood from her injured shoulder .

For the first time in this fight I’m worried I feel the nerves in the pit of my stomach .
