Selene's POV

I woke up yesterday. I tired and confused I still did not fully understand what had happened to me, or why I slept away a full day. I could feel Seleste, but she was weak only speaking to me to make sure I was okay and letting me know she needed rest.

Cynth and Arti stayed by my bed the whole time I was asleep, and they were there when I woke up both of them looking like crap, I forced them both to leave me to go shower and change this morning truthfully, I just needed a second to breath. While they are gone, I run a bath mixing some lemon and chamomile oil bubble bath I climb letting the heat surround me.

"Seleste. Are you there?"

"I’m here Sel but I’m so tired”.

"I know me too, I just wanted to ask you what it felt like for you? I’m so confused I felt weak and strong all at the same time then I just felt like I couldn't breathe "

"I felt that too, I feel strong like I could do anything then it got too much, and I felt like I was being crushed, I guess that’s when we blacked out " She sounds so weak.

"Thank you Seleste, you can rest now”.

"Sel, I don’t know what happened to us, but I don’t think things are going to be the same again”.

"Me neither, but we can deal with it ".

I lay in the bath the sounds of the bubbles gently popping, the steam rising in the room, with my eyes closed I’m deep in thought, trying to process everything that’s happened but I can’t piece it together.

Why the wolf from the woods?
Why did I rip his heart out?
Why did I bite it?
And then there is everything after,
Why the panic attack?
Why happened to me, I repeat these questions over and over in my mind, but I cannot seem the find the answer.

I’m then linked by Cynth.” Sel, are you okay we will be back in a second were just grabbing food, you need to eat you only ate a slice of toast yesterday”?

"I’m here Cynth, just in the bath I’ll get out and get dressed”.

"Ok we will bring the food up shortly”.

Since I woke up, I can’t shake the feeling they are both hiding something from me, I hear their whispers when I’m in and out of sleep.
As I’m getting dressed, I decide that I’m going to ask them, I’m going to confront them about what they know.

I pace the room getting more nervous for their impending arrival, my stomach also growling with hunger and anxiety Then I hear them, I panic not wanting them to thing I’m acting weird and chuck myself on the bean bag.

"Sel what are you doing, why did you just throw yourself onto the bag " Oh Crap " Arti saw me think fast you need a good response.

"I was just erm ... trying to get the best seat”.

"Okay weirdo " She looks at me she knows I’m lying you can for sure see it on my face I feel the beetroot red of panic that washed over me.
We all sit and eat and drink and talk Cynth asks me some questions as both my Dr and my sister, once we are all done, I begin to build up the courage to ask them what they are keeping from me when Arti speaks first.

"Sel. We need to talk about what happened yesterday, we wanted to wait till your birthday the way mum and dad did with me and I with Cynthia, but we think your ready now " I stare at them totally confused, they really are keeping something from me, I knew I suspected but I just thought they would say no.

Arti's POV

I said we were going to tell her everything, but she hasn’t said a word and her eyes are glazed over I look at Cynth and we are both confused.
Cynth taps her on the knee "Sel are you okay? you haven't said anything in like 2 minutes “.

Sel snaps out of whatever trance she was in and looks at us both. “I’m okay, what do you mean mum and dad told you? and what do you mean you told Cynth? what’s happening " I see the panic in her eye’s ad Cynth, and I take one her hands each.

"Sel I’m going to explain everything about what happened to you but there are some things you need to know first " I pause, and she nods I know she is hanging on my every word. "I need to talk to you about mum and dad and how they ended up as part of the pearl moon " At these last words she takes a sharp intake of breath.

"You mean our parents are not from here? " She’s softer now confusion echoing every word.

"No Sel they are not "I grip her hand and grab hold of Cynth's too.

"if you are ready, I will tell you everything " I look at them both, Cynth doesn’t know that she also doesn’t know this while story but m I had to wait I hope she won’t be mad.

With a deep breath I begin.

"When Father was younger, he was training to become the Alpha of the Blood Moon pack, when he was 20 is pack was attacked, he followed Grandad Walter into the forest a fought with rogues. They didn’t seem to want to fight though it’s like they came across them by accident some not even realizing they had stumbled into the territory of one of the strongest packs in the area and no matter how hard they tried to push them back they kept heading towards one particular tree. When they had finished fighting, they were searching for bodies to burn and he came across the tree he smelt blood and when he looked up, Mother was laying on a branch half conscious and bleeding from a huge scratch on her stomach. He pulled her down from the tree thinking she was a rogue but when she looked at him, he knew they were mates. His father wanted to kill her, but she didn’t look or smell like the ones who had attacked " Sel is looking at me eyes wide mouth open a little.

"You mean that dad was part of the missing pack?"

"Yes Sel, He was supposed to be their Alpha " I take a sip of water and carry on.

"Eventually Dad convinced them to treat her so they could speak to her when she woke up , when she did she told them who she was .Mother was the daughter of Alpha Cedrick from the closed pack the sapphire moon , it was said that they were decedents from the first wolves .She explained to them how her pack was attacked and her parents were murdered , knowing that she could trust dad as they were mates she told him that the stories were true and she was the last living decedent now ,she explained to him about her connection with the mood goddess and how as the family of the first they were gifted with special abilities , to be able to heal others , to take away fear and pain among a list of other things . She explained that’s why she was taken one of her father’s lifelong friends Arlo, wanted to exploit their power and use it to take over neighbouring packs, Cedrick disagreed he called a band of rogues to attack, the decimated her entire pack. Cedrick told her mother to flee to the closest pack with the young she did with a small group of warriors but eventually they caught up to them, and they slaughtered all but her and her mother”.
I stopped making sure Sel was listening, she was looked so sad and then through a tear she spoke.

"They must have been so scared " I wipe the tears from her eyes and carry on.

"They tortured her mother trying to take her power, when it failed, they focused on her, they carried her for days to what she could only guess was back to Arlo was hiding but before they could make it, they ran into the blood moon pack and that was them up to date with one another. After while Granddad Walter accepted mum and was ready to welcome her as Luna , She thought she would finally be happy but that happiness was short lived rogues started attacking the blood moon , they fought them off but eventually they were over powered knowing they would never be safe ,Grandad Walter gave them new identities and told them to run and hide in another pack no one could know who they were , He ended up staying there death to appease Arlo and hopefully that would send him away it didn’t and for the second time in less than a year he destroyed an entire pack killing everyone "

Sel and Cynth our both crying mourning the loss of the families we never knew.

"You see Sel, those packs aren’t missing they were murdered, in one wolfs search for power”.

Sel looks up at me, and I know what’s she going to say, I said it when I was told and so did Cynth.

"This is horrible Arti but..."She stutters on her words a little.

"What does this have to do with what happened to me?"
