We Belong Together

**Calder POV**

"*Calder if you don’t stop pacing, you’re going to make a hole in the floor*
Sigi grabs hold of my arm and looks at me with those are you okay eyes he’s being since we were children .

"Sigi ill stop pacing when I see her at the end of the isle walking towards me "

*"Okay but your making people super nervous your aurora is radiating like a heat wave"*

I stop and look out at the people seated and those standing all of whom have happy but concerned expressions. Stopping the pacing a take a moment to look around the space there are Selene's favourite orange marigolds mixed in white marigolds and White roses only the orange complimenting the clean crisp white they are lining the chairs and wrapped around the awning every space filled with green foliage. My mother and her sisters did do a great job of capturing Selene’s wildness in the calm with these flowers .

Like a magnet pulling my eyes drop down to meet hers at the end of the isle. Hers Green eyes catching the light, so they glisten in this moment it feels like there is no one else in this space with us, as she walks towards me our gaze does not falter.
I feel like I can’t breathe as she is coming towards me every move pulling the air from my lungs in anticipation, she’s stood in front of me and our gaze is broken by Artemis putting Selene's hand in mine .

She smiles at me then her grin gets wider as she shows me her fangs her words breathy and soft but with but menacing at the same time .

*"If you ever hurt my sister, I will hunt you down and kill you Calder "*

In that moment I feel Cynthia's eyes on me as well as if to back up the threat , the sincerity in her Artemis voice sends chills down my spine and I know she means it I nod and she turns away and hugs Selene, Cynthia following after and then they take their seats.

I turn to Selene her nerves radiating from her and I can tell she is not enjoying all the eyes on her, I squeeze her hand .
"Selene you look beautiful "

She blushes and a small smile appears on her face the kind that only I’ve seen in our most intimate moments .

My father’s then coughs slightly to bring the attention back to the reason why we are both here.
After the ceremony and the kiss the pack were howling with joy and now it was time to introduce her as the Luna officially the bond with her old pack will break and the bond with the Silver moon will begin, she will be able to mind link my pack and she will be able to finally link me .

I take her hand in mine and turn to the awaiting wolves some now bowing their head I take a deep breath ready to cement this bond with her.

Addressing the awaiting wolves .
"Silver moon pack and honoured guests from the Pearl moon , we have been without a Luna for so long and now we welcome my Mate , My wife Selene Fenrir into our pack "

The pack begin cheering both mine and hers and she squeezes my hand tightly .
"Selene , do you promise to love and care for the Silver moon pack until your last breath"

She looks out towards the crown and to her sisters who both give her a small nod .
*"I do"*

I can feel the smile growing as I try to continue.
"Selene to you agree to break the bond with your family pack and forge new ones with the Silver moon "

Again, she says I do, and Vidar is practically trying to separate from my body with excitement. I lift her hands in mine.
"Then let the bonds be broken and new paths formed "

**Selene's POV**

As soon as he said those words, I felt the voices of my old pack saying goodbye and good luck in my mind as the voices of the Silver moon begin to fill my mind all welcoming me and accepting me .
Then the voices stop, and Calder turned to me placing a soft kiss on my lip .
*"Welcome home Luna"*

It’s in that moment I realise it was in my mind the biggest smile on my face erupts happy tears in my eyes .

*"You look so happy I’m so proud of you "*

Calder’s head snaps around to Artemis and Cynthia both now staring up at us . He doesn’t say anything, but he turns to the crowd and lets them know we are now going to Celebrate and eat now they have a Luna .

After a short while the area clears and Artemis and Cynthia head to wear, we are stood both of them with confused and concerned looked on their faces .
*"Calder you heard me talk didn’t you"*
Artemis looking at him with intrigue.

He simply nods her way .
"What do you mean he heard you , you mean like he heard you linking me ?"
I look between the both of them confused .

*"When your sisters linked you Sel" *

"Wait how is these even possible? "

We are pulled from the conversation by Freya shouting for us to come to the dining area as the food is being served , I look at each of them all of us nonverbally agreeing to shelf this and have this conversation later.

The dinner goes by without any issues, people approach our table to tell us good luck some from the Pearl moon to say goodbye. As the evening goes on, we head to the gardens Luna Freya has really outdone herself everything is stunning. The way she has transformed this piece of grass they usually use to train on is amazing.

Calder and I dance, and we eat and drink in another bubble of complete bliss and ecstasy every time we touch our bond strengthening the scent of him driving me crazy, I’m almost tempted to leave the party right now .

As we head back to our seats the need to take my shoes off growing , heels are really not my thing .

Then I hear it the voices of the border patrol filling my mind calling for help screaming its overwhelming I look out towards the crowd as it is started to scatter people now screaming and searching for their loved ones in the chaos.

Calder is stood beside me not letting go of my hand, but he is clearly linking people I try to pull away from him to help Artemis and Cynth who are gathering small children with Ryan and Sigi, but he does not let go.
"Calder let go of my hand these people need help "

*"No Selene , I can’t let go of your hand"*
His words cold and somewhat distance.

"Calder your being ridiculous I need to help them "

*"Sel I can’t "*
He turns to me a dead pan expression on his face and I can swear I spot a glisten of fear in his eyes

*"He’s here"*

Those words shatter my surroundings , why today of all days why now.

"Calder let me go I can help these people I can put a shield around them let me go"
He reluctantly let’s go of my hand and I run towards Artemis and Cynthia if this is going to work, I need them .

As soon as I’m with them we know what must be done we mind link and then I focus everything I have on a projecting a shield around the people and around the house as the two of them feel it I can see they are focusing everything on this .

I know that some of the rogues are going to get stuck inside with us, but we can take them down once they are separated .

Calder , Sigi and Ryan move Infront of standing like a defence line to protect us until this is cemented and steady .

After a few more moments we feel it seal as long as we keep the link between us open it should hold .
"Calder it done no more can get in, but you can now kill the ones inside "

The three of them nod and join the fight around 12 wolves have made it to the centre of the party .Cynthia begins to help those that were knocked down or have minor cuts ushering any hidden children towards the growing crowd of children and mothers instructing them to wait in the safe house .

Calder and his warriors manage to kill the rest of the trapped rouges without shifting , my dress now covered in blood from helping people of the floor I find the seat I was sat in before my shoes still there but the table the decorations destroyed.

Sadness fills my soul , the day I became part of this pack is the day its decimation begins if this was the moon goddess final plan she is not as kindhearted as we once thought .

After a while the others join me Cynthia and Arti taking my hand and I feel the tiredness of both of them both mentally and physically the strain of holding this barrier up taking control , Calder alerts us that most of the people are in the inner circle of if so we can close it in and take some of the pressure off .

As we do the glimmering line moves closer to us and then I see them on the other side. Hundreds of eyes glowing int he trees surrounding the house and at the head of them all is none other than Arlo.

His deformed half shifted body towering above those stood in human form around him his aurora radiating right towards us as if trying to will us to bring the barrier down, blood covering his body claws extended and in his right hand he is holding the decapitated head of Fin Calder’s head warrior.
I feel Him tense next to me knowing he has spotted his friend who has been defiled in an unimaginable way.

Cynthia gasps beside me .
*Selene , look who is next to him ... its Ash"*

My eyes dart to the wolf beside him and it is Ash , how could he do this to the pack how could he stand by and watch the murder of those he grew up with and those who helped is pack when they needed it most .

"It’s not just Ash" I grab hold of Calder’s hand and nudge him a few feet away from where Arlo is stood.
He lets out a terrifying growl at the person standing arms folded across her chest , eyes fixed on his.
