Remarkable Really

**Calder’s POV**

I watch stunned into silence as Selene shifts into her wolf, she seems larger than before the emerald glow to her fur now resonating like a soft glow from her body . She facing Arlo ready to attack him her aura more powerful than I’ve ever felt she lets out a growl snarling and snapping like she wants to move but she can’t Noise causing Arti and Cynth to shift as well all eyes now fixated on them and the exchange .

Arlo does not move he watches almost in awe of what he's seeing and then everything blurs Selene has lunged at him her sisters too and I can hear Sigi screaming don’t let him touch you.
The fight around us erupts again and I shift heading towards Selene I’m stopped by a brown wolf who seems to be trying to put a barrier in between the two of us he stares me down his eyes black with determination its then it clicks that it Ash his obsessive nature with Selene still taking centre fold even now she’s my Luna .

*"We should Kill Him he’s weak "*
Vidar's words resonate in my mind .

"Were going to Vidar he tried to take what’s ours "

We continue to circle each other in a like it’s a game , he really thinks he’s got a chance I wait for him to attack me and I lunge forward clamping my mouth firmly round his front leg feeling the bones shatter in my mouth the taste of blood swirling on my tongue.
We are face to face again moving waiting for the other to pounce I push forward towards him pressing him to the ground trying to get and his neck then I feel a sharp pain in my side where his claws have collided with my ribs we push away from one another,

He growls at me like he’s winning he has no idea this is like game to me , he’s pathetic . I see his eyes calculating what he is going do next his only logical move now is to go for my neck in one forceful move .

He moves forward and as I anticipate he does exactly that his jaws inches away from me I bite down on the back of his neck clamping harder his body thrashing underneath. the movements becoming more desperate with each movement he even lets out a whimper, but I don’t let go . He eventually stops moving and attempts to whimper into submission signalling that he gives in to me .

*"See I told you he was weak Calder end it so we can get to our Mate "*
I feel Vidar push to the front on my mind my top and bottom and top teeth connecting through the flesh as he breaks through Ash neck throwing him to one side when he’s finished.

I give into Vidar letting him take over completely his eyes focused on Selene whose left side is wet from blood, but we don’t know if it is hers . there are several wolves surrounding her and sisters all waiting to take to take them on Arlo stood watching the way they fight the way they move like he’s studying them .
I link Selene to let her know I’m coming not that she looks like she needs help as she is taking on two wolves on her own .

I’m heading towards them when I’m knocked sideways , I lay still for a moment trying to process what’s just happened feeling like a bulldozer has hit me my vison a little blurry as I try to make sense of what’s just happened I’m not further away from her than I was before an there is a bunch of semi shifted mutated wolf coming towards me at full speed.

I get back up on top my feet claws dug in the ground a feeling of determination rushes over me I’ve had enough of these wolves I let him come at me his overpowering stench of rotten flesh filling my nose as he does I swipe his legs from underneath him and plunge my claws into his chest feeling his oversized heart stop underneath my paw.
I make light work of the 3 wolves that follow after him , only the thought of Selene and keeping her safe on my mind, as I get closer I can see Ryan and Sigi also battling through wolves to get to the girls in the middle all of whom are circling Arlo a small brunette wolf who I recognise as Revna.


**Selene's POV**

After we battled through the wolves surrounding them, we circled Arlo ready to attack but he has a timid looking brown wolf in front of him who I recognise as Revna her teeth showing as she tries to stare down Arti who is closest to her .

Artemis scowls at her about to dive at her .
"NO ARTI SHES MINE "

The thoughts leave my mind and I realise I’ve linked it without realising distracting Artemis the world moves into slow motion as I see Revna take a swipe at her as she turns her head to look at me , Revna's paw connecting with Arti neck and the blood splattering over Cynthia . If I hadn’t had distracted her this would never have happened Arti moves faster than any pack member she fights better than them .

I run towards the two of them nudging Artemis who is laid still blood pouring from her neck.

*"Selene you need to concentrate I can heal her, but we don’t have long, and you need to distract them both, so I have the time to do it "*

Cynthia’s voice echoes in my mind as it brings me out of the trance, I was in my eyes fixed on Arti I nod and face Revna using my body to block my sisters . As if curious as to what Cynthia is doing Arlo makes his first move since the fight began a small shift so he has them in view .

Revna growls at me as she links me .
*"I told you Selene that Calder was not yours and you decided to take him, anyway , forcing him to make you his Luna when we all know it should be me "*

He words carry no weight as the fabrication she has created is so far from reality .
"Revna you are delusional the only reason you can link me is because I am the Luna now, we can end this here and now of you can come willingly "

The only reason I’m offering her a choice is out of respect for Luna Freya if she knew Revna was part of this she would be devastated .

*"Oh, Selene you’re so sweet you think that he’s going to let you kill me , that his family are going to accept that their new daughter Killed there adopted one your delusional"*

She jumps towards me mouth wide I cannot step to the side or she will hit Arti and Cynth I stand rooted on the spot .

**Selene when she gets near us command her to stop and shift like you did the wolves in the woods **

I acknowledge what she says and wait for her to come close focusing my energy on only Revna she gets seconds a meter away from me .
"REVNA STOP ! "

She does unable to control it the confusion on her eyes growing .

"SHIFT BACK"

I can see her try to fight it, but she can’t she crumples into a pile on the floor shifting involuntarily back into her human form.
Arlo's attention snaps back to me as he watches the scene unfold, I’m about to command her to leave and never come back when Ryan pushes past me in his human form snapping her neck with no emotion and then he turns and walks back to Arti .

I turn to face Arlo his eyes now glowing a cold grey similar to the way ours do but it’s like it’s not fully committed .

*"I must say too three are far more impressive than I thought you share your gifts with one another it’s quite remarkable really. it’s a shame about that one though "*
He ushers towards Artemis who is still lying motionless on the floor and I can feel her aura fading like I’m losing connection, but I try not to focus on it .

*"I would have liked her power the way she moved across this battlefield effortlessly , it would have come in quite handy really "*
He steps towards me and I growl warning him to stay back he stops and observes me again like watching a specimen in a lab .

I then feel the presents of another wolf beside me his fur brushing against my own and I relax knowing its Calder he finally made it to me .

*"AHH now isn’t this a surprise who would have thought I would be the one to end my own packs line . Refreshing really when thy couldn’t see what I was worth, and they made your grandfather Alpha I swore I would show them I left out to find strength and boy did I find it and entire pack who were descends of the first . They let me in and trusted my sad story of wanting to belong . Their own mistake really I spend my time there trying to take what was there’s I wanted the pack at first then I found I could take the powers and I couldn’t resist "*

Calder growls at his words threatening him to shut up we do not need to hear him speak . Arlo lifts his arm and flicks his wrist sideways we hear a whimper and can see Sigi now on his side breathing heavily where his back hit a tree .

I link Calder to go to him, but he does not move , in fact he edges closer to my side .

*"Now now , that was silly Calder trying to sneak up on me. I was going to let some of these wolves live if they swear allegiance to me, but I think I’ll just kill them all now "*
He drops to all fours his bones cracking beneath him as he mutilated body shifts into something more grotesque his fur matted , bald patches cover parts of his body his legs not fully shifting the remanence of human remaining . His shadow covering us as his sheer size creates a suffocating feeling as I try to breath struggling to do so while I watch what he is becoming .
