Fifty four

Torin's Pov
I told Chelsea she needed to come with me immediately but she simply laughed it off, I was infuriated, My alpha was in danger and she could do noting but laugh, I held her hand firmly and began to drag her forcefully with me.
"Torin! Stop! Where are you taking me to?" She protested.
"Somewhere important, don't worry, I won't hurt you." I assured her, seeing that she was getting scared.
"How can you just take me against my own wish? This is unfair and impossible!" She yelled.
"You need to see something for yourself, then you'll know the urgency." I replied.
"What's all this craziness? Just tell me what's wrong and what you want from me then I'd willingly go with you." She insisted.
"You'll get to know once we get there." I said monotonously.
She suddenly yanked her hands free from mine, I looked back, I tried to hold her once more but she instinctively moved backwards.
"Chelsea, this is definitely not the time to be stubborn, just do as I say." I warn her.
"I will go nowhere until you tell me what all this is about." She said.
I sighed as I clenched my fists in anger.
"It's Alaric." I confessed.
She scoffed.
"Alaric? Him again? What did he do this time around? Brianwash you? He said he'd never bug me again, is he going back on his words now or what? What a man he is." She said rudely.
I felt angry and this urge to claw out her face but I kept my cool.
"Alaric is lying unconscious and at the verge of death, he's..." I began to explain but she caught me off with her laughter.
"Really? You expect me to believe that cock.and.bull story of yours? No way!" She mocked.
"I'm.being serious here Chelsea." I said impatiently.
"Is he out of excuses or tricks that he has to lie to get me to come to him?" She asked sarcastically.
"Can you just see him for once please? Then you can be sarcastic as you want afterwards." I pleaded.
She contemplated my request while I impatiently tapped my foot on the ground waiting for an answer and after what seemed like forever, she agreed, she got into the car and I drove her straight to the pack house, I had to induce her to sleep so she doesn't know the way, it was a preventive and protective measure.
We soon arrived there and I jolted her out of her sleep, she looked around suspiciously and galted at me, I scoffed and lead her to Alaric's chambers, Cain stood up when he saw us, I nodded to him and he understood my coded message, I turned to Chelsea.
"Where's Alaric?" She asked me.
I pointed to his bed just past the curtains which were soaked in medications and healing spells.
"We'll leave you with him for as long as you want, you'll find us standing just outside the door waiting for you whenever you're ready." I told her.
Before she got the chance to retort, we exited the room.
Chelsea's POV
Torin and the weird looking but also down to earth gorgeous man left me alone in the room, I marveled at how giagntic and we'll furnished the place was, it was mostly made of gold and other precious ancient treasures, there were carvings which fascinated me scattered around the room, it was like a treasure box on its own, the place reeked of medicinal herbs.
I knew Torin was up to no good and so was Alaric, whatever trick it was that he wanted to use wouldn't work on me, I slowly walked apst the curtains he pointed out to me and expected to see Alaric sitting or standing there looking as handsome and mouthwatering as ever.
My heart pounded with every step I took, the idea of seeing Alaric after two months made me excited and nervous at the same time.
"What trick have you used this time....." I began to mock but the rest of the words got stuck in my throat as I came face to face to an unconscious Alaric.
He was lying on the bed, barely breathing, his upper half was naked and I could see his perfectly toned abs and god-like glowing skin, his chest region close to his heart was a blood stained bandage wounded around it, my hands shook as I touched it and fresh blood seeped out of it, his lips were cracked and he looked pale like a ghost.
My legs became weak immediately and I fell, I crawled over to him and saw his once jet black hair turn white, almost all his hair was white and he looked like he would die any minute from them, I touched his face and he groaned in pain, my hands flew to my mouth as a gasp escaped my mouth.
"Alaric." I muttered but got no response.
"Hey, what's up with you? Is this some sick joke? Stand up." I said, poking his ribs.
"Stand up." I repeated, raising my voice.
"Stand up!" I shouted.
Tears began to roll down my cheeks, does this mean I would never be able to see him ever again? Torin and the odd man came rushing in, they probably held me yell, they found me clinging to his body and couldn't tear me off him.
"What the hell happened to him?" I screamed.
An anger I didn't know existed surged from inside of me, he's a werewolf, a beast as I claimed, what in God's name happened to him?
"We were attacked, we couldn't protect him." The other man explained.
I let go of Alaric and grabbed him by the collar of his shirt.
"You were attacked and couldn't protect him? What's your use? Aren't you like his lifeguard or something? How could you let this happen to him? How long has he been like this?" I asked angrily.
"Few days back." Torin answered.
I let go of the man and approached Torin.
