Ninety five
Kayla's POV
Avoiding Chelsea was not that hard for me. Nothing can be harder than avoiding Torin, my lover.
I made sure to pretend as if I hadn't seen her in class. She was always waving. I was starting to get pissed at her innocent attitude. How did a witch manage to put up such a clean face. I guess you cannot judge a book by its cover.
I dropped my bag in the locker.
Chelsea closed it for me.
I pretended not to see that. She stood right at my front.
"Can't you see I'm avoiding you?" I nearly screamed. My parents have been held hostage for three days and they have asked for her as ransom. I'm trying real hard to save her mother fucking flat ass already!
"More reason I'm doing this, Kayla" she stared deep into my eyes.
"Get the fuck outta here, bitch!" I cussed.
"It won't get to me." Chelsea was always persistent.
"I want to be alone." I waved sharply.
"You can tell me, Kayla. What is making you worry?" She tilted her head.
I began to sob at the thought of having my parents I detainment.
"It's okay, Kayla" she hugged me.
I coughed admist sobs.
"I'm good." I told her, while we walked to the cafeteria.
We took our orders and sat facing each other.
"What happened, Kayla?" She was direct.
" My parents were kidnapped."
There's no way I was going to tell her about my parents being held hostage without telling her that I was a vampire. I revealed my true Identity to Chelsea. She wasn't in anyway sho Jed to find out I and my whole family she had been friends with were all vampires.
I gulped down my soda. Deep down, I was very much relieved. She took my hands.
"Just tell me their location. I'll rescue them." She whispered.
"Are you insane!" I pulled my hands off hers. She nodded her head reassuringly.
"How did you plan to do this." I leaned closer.
"Just use me as a bait." She whispered.
"Why would I?" I got up furiously.
"Kayla." She called with all dexterity.
"I have an army to back me up. Don't be bothered. Your parents are going to come home tonight." She took my hands again. I nodded, as though I was bewitched.
Infact, I felt bewitched.
Only Chelsea can tell if I was actually bewitched.
"Is that the same reason you stayed away from Torin?" She asked.
I nodded.
"Thanks for not selling me out" she was grateful.
I nodded again. I was too weak to talk.
Chelsea's POV
Alaric opened the door before I touched the doorbell. It was his habit to do this. He wouldn't even let me use it. I began to narrate Kayla's birthday party which was a mess as well as Kayla's identity. She informed him of her plan to deliberately be used as a bait. Alaric was not surprised by the turn out of events.
"I knew something was happening." He rubbed his chin.
"What should we do about this."
"You can go on with what you planned. I've been monitoring this vampire camp in a while. I have something cooked up for them" he winked and licked his lips.
I felt my belly becoming warm with excitement.
"When do you plan to do this?" He looked at me.
"Very soon..."
"Today" he added, looking into the blue early evening sky.

Kayla's POV
I had contacted the vampires. They were delighted to hear that I was bringing Chelsea to the dark woods this evening. I told them we wanted to gather plants for a herbarium as an assignment. I said they should use this opportunity to take Chelsea so I could rescue my parents.
We found the vampire camp down on the woods. It wasn't hidden. Infact, it was very obvious, but no one would dare invade thr vampires' territory.
I allowed my hungry fangs out. I was already displaying my abilities as a vampire. Chelsea kept twisting her feet on the floor like she was drawing a map. She bent weak plants as she walked by, not with her hands, but with the snap of her fingers.
"What are you doing" I asked.
"I'm leaving a trace behind" she replied .
That's very thoughtful and precautions though.
"The witch!" A young vampire rushed by.
A smirk curved on Chelsea's face, like. That of a true witch.
My parents were thrown out of the smoky tent. They looked clean and kept. I hugged both of them tight and sobbed.
"What did you do, Kayla!" Mum hit my chest.
"I did what was best, for all of us" I didn't want them hearing that it was a planned scheme.
"I didn't bring you up this way" dad spat.
"Let's leave here." I rushed my words, leading the way. They ran behind me, leaving poor Chelsea behind. If she manages to escape this, I owe her one.
Soon, the camp was out of view. I sighed as soon as we approched safety.

Chelsea's POV
"You're the witch?" A Middle aged man touched my neck line. That was forbidden. If Alaric caught him, he would have died right away.
"Yeah. The witch that is going to curse you and your entire generations!" I looked over my shoulder proudly.
"Let's get to business." He sat on a soft animal skinned chair.
"Make us rings." He stated.
"What rings?" I was clueless. My eyes went to the one on my hand which I miraculously found in my cabinet.
"Don't play dumb, witch. We need the rings that protects us from the sun rays"
"Okay...that" I nearly laughed.
He was loosing his patience.
I began to utter some spells from my tongue. I guess my tongue did most of the work than my head bothered to.
My eyes began to glow.
Smoke rose in the air.
"What are you doing...." The man was asking.
"Sending you to hades, you mother fucker!" I yelled. Dust erripted from the earth when I pointed down.
This is just about the right moment for an attack
