Eighty two
Chelsea's P.O.V
"You know what?" I had my gaze glued on him. "I am going nowhere without you." I said.
"Even if I die?" His eyes was like nothing much was happening.
"Yes Alaric." I responded almost immediately, with an emotional state.
"They killed Iris, Chels, they made me break my promise." His face had not yet broken into a joyful welcome.
"And what is the promise?" I brought out my phone, I checked it, hoping to see missed calls, I was still unsure but as I guessed in an unsure way, it was right. I saw three missed calls, three of which was from Jasper. I inserted it back into my pocket.
"I made her a promise that she would never die right before me eyes." He was still tensed.
"We are all bound to break a promise or the-----"
"You can't lecture me!" He said, infuriated.
"I know I can't lecture you, but please don't do something in which you would regret." I smiled. "Anyways, how can you survive alone in the territory of vampires.
"Who cares anyway." The corner of his lips was lifted.
"You wanna know right?" I asked sarcastically. "I do Alaric, I really care, that was the reason I ran the fastest my legs could carry me." My lips tightened a fraction.
"Ok I've heard your sermon."
"Going there doesn't make sense." I said but smiled. "So why bother." I held his two hands warmly, his gaze turned to me.
I had his hands placed on my waist and I tiptoed towards him, his lips crashed into mine, his hand slowly moving down, he squeezed my ass with his two hands in a romantic way.
My phone rang and we both jolted out, I fished my phone out of my pocket, I checked it and it was Jasper.
"Don't get me pissed off Chels." He had started sounding like he was beginning to get pissed off actually, he ended the call right away without allowing me to utter a statement.
I checked the time on my wristwatch, it was thirty four minutes past ten.
It was then I knew he actually have every right to be mad at me. I didn't even observe dinner with my family.
"I guess it's time I take my leave ." I said, flashing him a wide grin.
"Let's go together chels." He held my hand as we walked into the dark night.
"I am gonna get killed by my dad, mom and Jasper so that means I am in a tripple kill tonight." I chuckled.
"Yeah chels you are really gonna get killed, how about if I take you home."
"Yeah, I think that's a great idea Ric." I turned to my right side and my gaze was plastered on Alaric.
I jumped on his back, he held me tightly, his speed was not a speed any human can behold.
It was an inhumane speed in a minute or two we arrived at my house.
"Thanks for the ride." I said and gave him a smooch smooch.
He responded with a brief kiss and waved me goodbye.
I opened the door only to see Jasper at my front, he was already calm by that time.
"You scared me man." My mouth was hung up.
"My voice on the phone the other time, was it scary chels." He had a boyish grin on his face.
"You did that to scare me?" I was still shocked.
"Yeah, of course." He furrowed his eyebrows.
"Fuck you." I stood up from the position I was seated before from the floor and went straight to the kitchen.
"Chelsea." Jasper held my hand and looked into my eyes.
"What is it." I mumbled in pretence.
"That guy who is he?" My heart skipped a beat.
"What?" I looked at him in a confused way, like I don't know what he was saying. "I don't really get what you are saying."
"Then I guess dad is gonna hear about it." The smile fell off his face.
"I get you Jasper, I really do." I said and sighed in a manner of defeat.
"I only asked who he was and nothing more." He frowned and held my face and his lips widened into a smile.
"Why did you ask me anyways." I asked, nothing wanting to hear an actual part of his explanation.
"What you did outside with him." His voice was rough.
"Oops, you caught me red-handed then." I placed my hand on my waist.
"Not gonna get out of my lips chels." He whispered, I knew it would actually never get to get out of his lips, I could trust him hundred percent on that part.
I nodded in response.
"But don't let dad question you after a breakup, chels." His face look truthful after saying it.
"Trust me, it would not happen." He held me warmly.
"Ok chels." He let me go.
"Goodnight Jasper." I said, flashing my set of white teeth.
"Same here chels." I ran in the stairs loud enough for him to hear it.
I took my food along with me to my room.
It was the first time I was eating without a single one of my family, and also the first time in which I was eating in my room and not in the dinning room.
My body started aching me, it was because of the race I involved myself in, I always felt pain anytime I run to a long distance like that, but I was happy this time that I saved someone important to me.
I was done with eating, in less than twenty minutes I packed the plates and walked down the stairs to the kitchen, I dropped the plate down. Everywhere was silent, I guess they were all asleep I ran up the stairs again, it was like the fifth time I climbed the stairs after coming back from Only-God-knows where.
Today was really one hell of a stressful day for me
I fell to the bed and gave a sigh of relief, my body seemed to have calm down a bit.
I had began to feel sleepy, and finally I was dragged into itEighty-two
