Ninety one
I felt someone cold touch my shoulder. It was kelvin. Helped me put the shelf back in place. He didn't uttter a word, but I was sure he knew that something happened.
We had arranged everything, then, a surge of hot heat rushed through my body in one rythm. I felt the urge to raise my hand and wave it. Kelvin gave me a look, like he was shocked, but he expected it.
Everyone continued with their businesses.
It was just like as portrayed in fiction movies, like knowing that my immediate friends are vampires and werewolves was not enough fiction in reality?
But stopping time was.... And I was the one who did this magic trick. I was excited, as well afraid. What am I?
What would I be called now?
I am not a vampire.
Neither am I a werewolf.
But novels usually say that people exhibit their supernatural abilities at eighteen, most of the times. Sure thing, there was something like late puberty.
My thoughts were many.
I saw the small girl's mum rush over and hugged her. She must have thought the girl went missing for a while.
Kelvin was mute all this time. He helped pick drinks and tossed them into the cart, while I picked kitchen items, ranging from ketchup, vegetables, flour, sugar, eggs and a lot more for the party. Why had Kayla not shown up?
I guess she's too love sick to come out of the car at the moment.
*******
Kayla's POV
I sat in the car for a while, then, I saw a guy in grey coloured hoodie, covering his face with a black facemask.
He would either be a vampire or a werewolf. I opened the car and walked out, my back was against the door knob. I slipped the keys into the pocket of my tight jeans.
Oh, I didn't the guy anymore, but I felt his presence anyways.
I rushed into the mall to see kelvin and Chelsea at the counter. Chelsea slipped a card through the machine and said a thank you to the sales girl who also said a thank you in return.
Gosh... All this pleasantries.
I'm not a person of too many words. I guess that's why I fell for Torin anyways.
I helped them with two shopping bags, then hurriedly moved to the car booth and opened it. I checked in the bags they both brought and jammed the booth close.
We were all quiet, like we weren't friends at all. Okay, I know that Chelsea and kelvin are not close, but at least, I and Chelsea were cool friends.
Chelsea's POV
I felt tired, like I was under puberty already. I dialed Alaric's number on my phone. Guess I need to change the way I saved Alaric number, since our relationship is now intimate. I could feel myself blush. Memories of yesterday kept flooding through my brain. The feeling of his touch on my body. Each time I remember, I just get the goose bumps. He picked the call.
"Chels... How are you my love." His voice was composed.
"I'm good, Ric.." maybe I should store his phone number as Ric after the conversation.
"I'm on my way to your villa" I told him. I heard some rumbling sounds of paper flipping. He's always working.
"To get a second dose of yesterday's..." He teased.
I flushed with embarrassment.
"Well... I wouldn't mind doing that... I also want to talk to you about something."
"Like?" He asked. "hope you're good chels?" I could feel that his voice was on a bridge already. He must be worried.
" Ric ... Calm down. I'm okay. I just have something important to discuss with you." Perhaps I shouldn't have bothered telling him I wanted to discuss something with him. I should have just said I wanted a replay of yesterday's meeting. Not like I don't want it though. My cheeks are warm with small red blush.
I walked the narrow street of cobblestone. It was lit with bulbs of shops displaying graphics. Bulletin boards displayed models' pictures, mostly holding skin care products.
Not like one's skin would look exactly like the models' after using the product.
I arrived at his villa. It wasn't a long walk from my house though. He opened the gate, he must have seen me already through the CCTV.
I gave him a tight hug.
Alaric's POV
Alright, she was hugging me up close, but I couldn't feel her boobs pressing against my chest. All thanks to the big woolly coat she was putting on, coupled with the large moflar she rolled around her neck.
I can't wait till we get into our closet, to peel these annoying garments of her milky skin.
She didn't look like she was ready for something hot. She kept on sighing, making it obvious that she was bothered about something.
"Is something bothering you Chels?" I tapped her back gently, then, left my arm on her shoulder, so she could feel my warmth. Her eyes read worries.
" Ric.. I...I don't know what is happening to me... I don't know what I did, how I did it... Why I did it ...I just" she was breaking down, she kept twinkling her fingers against one another.
"Did you kill a person?" I asked.
She hit my chest and smiled a bit.
" No... Ric... Gosh... How would you think of such a thing?"
I laughed.
"If you didn't kill someone, you shouldn't be this terrified." I turned her to face me. Her eyes were big, round and a bright shade of blue.
"At the shopping mall today..." She sat on the chair near the pool. I sat beside her and turned to keep my eyes on this lovely soul I've been blessed with.
"I did some magic trick and saved a girl." She blurted out very fast, then she gazed at the pool.
I nearly laughed. I leaned my back on the chair and rested by head.
