Seventy six
Chelsea's P.O.V
"I don't get it Ric" I said still unable to completely get what he was saying.
"How would you feel, if you worked for something your whole life, and at the end people try to take it from you in just one fucking day."
"Really bad but I think I would get over with it in a week a two." I sensed his anger, and I tried to cool his senses.
The pain of betrayal was truly in his eyes.
"Do you care for a cup of coffee?"
"I'll pass." He replied almost immediately.
"Torin?"
"I don't get it"
"Was torin among them?" I narrowed my gaze.
"No." Finally, Alaric voice was kind today.
"Were they punished?"
"Yeah."
"And what was the punishment?"
"One in which you would not wanna hear." He stated coldly.
"Death?"
"Nah,chels hell."
"Hell?"
"Not hell, like hell though, pain." He said with an evil grin on his face revealing his white teeth.
How dangerous can they be, I mean wolves of course what if they don't even feel remorseful for the bad they have actually done, the chaos they have caused, the life they have ended, souls that they have doomed.
"We wolves are nothing like the vampires, actually." It was like he could read my mind.
"What is the difference between you guys."
"There is a while lot of difference between us."
"Then mention it." My eyes widened.
"The vampires have a very strong lust for blood, unlike us." Alaric said.
"You guys don't need blood to actually survive. But vampires need them, according to the books I've read." I added hurriedly.
"No. You are actually wrong, wolves can also drink blood and it can lead to bloodlust." He leaned a hip against the corner of the swing.
"Whoa, that's amazing, you thought them how to do so right." I wound a rope around my fingers.
I've never seen one of them actually.
"In the vampire territory, the more you consume blood the more you become stronger, it is actually the blood of a human though." He said almost vehemently.
"Do they kill them, or they usually extract it from them, sew it up and let them go." I said, still curious to get my answer when a call came in to his phone.
Few minutes later he ended the call.
"They usually kill them." Beads of sweat dotted his brow.
"Fuck!" Nausea rolled up the back of my throat again.
"Yeah, of course?" He scoffed.
I had almost puked.
"That's just the first difference." He said with a slight chuckle. "The second one is that they are actually dead." He furrowed his brow."
"I have read that somewhere." I scratched a bare forearm with the painted nails of my opposite hand, as I added, "you'd be watchful of them."
"We once fought." A weight settled in Alaric stomach.
"Your pack was defeated right?" I asked as I leaned against the partition that separated me from Alaric.
"What did you take my for?"
"I still don't know yet, I am yet to know what I take you for, maybe, a dumbass, asshole or even I cunt." We both bursted into laughter.
Our gaze met with each other, we kept staring at each other for moments.
A voice joited me out.
"Chels!" It was the voice of Jasper.
"Goodbye Ric."
"Yeah, goodbye." I walked into the dinning room, I saw my parents, John and Jasper eating.
I went upstairs to avoid any unanswerable questions, especially from my dad.
I stayed in my room to whirl away time.
"Chelsea, get down here." I heard my dad's voice.
"Fuck." I muttered trying to be prepared for any questions.
I joined them in the dinning table."
"Who was that guy that just left." He pushed his glass over the brech if his nose, closer to his eyes.
My dad was someone who doesn't ask me this question before, until the heartbreak between me and chris occured, he wouldn't want any pain for me, I guess.
"He's just a normal friend of mine." I knew that was just a level one question.
"Does he attends your school." His eyebrows rose behind his glasses.
"Funny, Chels" Jasper said sarcastically.
I sat up in a straight-backed chair in the dinning room.
"He is just a random friend." I responded.
"Ok.*
"Now, my question, does he attends your school?"
"He does not attend our school, but lately, I've been making friends in the community." I was about to get caught.
"Then, how did you make friends with him.?"
"Lately, I've been making friends in the community." That stage was quite easy.
"If you say so then there's no problem."
I nodded a yes to him.
"Why wouldn't I trust my only princess." A smile was plastered on his face.
"Yeah, I know dad, I know you trust me than Jasper." He remained silent, because he wasn't a kinda person who was partial, in all aspects.
"Ouch." I heard Jasper's voice, behind me.
"Fuck you man." I also indicated it with my middle finger.
"I'm going in." My mom who was silent for almost eternity said.
"What's it mom?" I asked her, because she have been acting strangely lately.
"It's nothing chels." she walked up the stairs towards her room.
"I packed up the plates as I hit Jasper's hand with the plate, it was not actually my turn for the dish washing." I dropped it in the kitchen and shouted the name of Jasper, almost getting him infuriated.
"I'm coming, so shut the fuck up." Jasper responded almost immediately, in an infuriated tone.
"Don't cause high blood for yourself, man you are too young to die."
"Shut the hell up."
"You know, I love being a sister in-law actually."
"You are one hell of a sister chels."
"You are one in a million kinda brother."
"Can't you please just shut the fuck up for once in your life, please."
"Nah man."
"Please, you guys are making one hell of a noise here please." John said.
