Fifty six

"Since you're no more dead, I'll just go to my house and whine about how I let go of the perfect opportunity to murder you." Torin said jokingly and left.
We both understood our complicated relationship, Cain and I understood the joke but Chelsea obviously didn't as her face was contoured with anger, she attempted to go after him but I stopped her just in time.
"What do you plan on doing?" I asked her.
"He threatened to kill you, so I'll have to have a serious talk with him." She said seriously.
I laughed briefly.
"What?" She asked.
"Nothing." I replied.
I couldn't believe my eyes, it's not been long since she confessed her love to me and now she's been protective, awesome!
"I'll call on the healer to come change the medications since you're awake, I'll be back." Cain said, bowed and left.
I was left alone with Chelsea.
"So..., About earlier on." I began.
"What happened?" She asked innocently.
"You were kissing me?" I teased her.
Her face turned pink immediately and she tried to hide it.
"Don't you dare remind me of that else I'll murder you myself." She threatened.
I chuckled and zipped my mouth shut, she sat beside me on the large bed and held my hand.
"Alaric, don't you ever scare me this way ever again, please." She begged.
"And why would that be?" I taunted.
"Because I said so." She said authoritatively.
I couldn't stop smiling to myself, I was loving this side of hers.
"Stop smiling that way, it makes butterflies flutter in my belly." She flirted.
"Wow! Who knew dying would bring out this side of you? I'd die a hundred times to see this everyday." I joked.
She placed her index finger on my lips.
"Don't ever talk about dying that way, do you know how much that shit scares me? Don't even think of dying, if you ever die I'll kill you myself, you hear that?" She ordered.
"Yes my lady." I replied with an accent.
We both laughed it off, she helped me sit up and rested my back against two pillows, she sat beside me properly and I let her place her head on my shoulders while I played with her hair.
"Alaric." She called once more.
"Chels." I drawled, she chuckled.
"I'm sorry for hurting you all these while, when you laid unconscious on that bed, the pain I felt was excruciating, it made me realize that this was what you went through everyday when I rejected you, I'm sorry it took me this long, I love you." She apologized.
A tear rolled down my cheek and I quickly wiped it off, she made me the happiest woman in the world that day.
"It's fine Chelsea, you didn't mean to hurt me." I assured her.
She nodded and we remained in that position for hours, she told me about everything she went through during the time we spent together and also some funny stories, I laughed loudly to them and kissed her forehead during intervals.
When it was nightfall, she reluctantly went home and promised to be back early the next morning, I had to convince her not to miss her classes the next day and to come over whenever she wanted during the weekends, Cain drove her home.
Chelsea's POV
It's weekend and I hopped happily as I pack my little bag with clothes and some food and dumped it in the trunk of the car, I got into the front seat and greeted Cain who replied with a smile, I couldn't wait for us to get to the mansion and immediately we arrived I jumped out of the car, staright to Alaric's mansion.
The two days we spent apart was the longest in my entire life, though we were on call for most of the free time I had, I still wasn't contented, it seemed like I couldn't get enough of him, I wanted to be by his side at all times, this I was told was love.
I heard a feminine voice as I entered his chamber, my blood boiled immediately, who had the right to talk to my Alaric? I hastened my footsteps and found Alaric seated on his head and a render beautiful girl was changing his bandage, she delicately touched his body and blushed as she talked to him, my eyes turned red almost immediately.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?" I asked loudly.
The girl flinched and instantly stood up, she took the dressing tray and looked at me confusedly, Alaric simply smiled and signalled for me to come closer, I went to him and instead of hugging him, I kissed him fully on the lips to tell the girl I owned him.
"Chelsea, I've missed you." Alaric said huskily.
I turned my attention back to the girl.
"What the hell are you doing?" I asked again.
"I..." She stuttered.
"She's helpingme change my bandage." Alaric explained.
I eyed her suspiciously, she was too beautiful to be left alone with my man, she was obviously one of them as her beauty was out of this world.
"Give the bandage to me, from now onwards, you do not need to help him with the dressing or anything, I'll do that myself, you can go." I said rather venomously.
Alaric was shocked.
"She isn't doing anything wrong Chelsea, she's just helping me change my bandage, as she done anything to offend or annoy you?" He asked.
I looked at him, he looked handsome and cute at the same time, how could I let another woman touch him.
