Joanna walked into the big workstation with an aggrieved expression on her face as she was disgusted by the scene of how everyone was surrounding and admiring the woman who had just come into work today itself.
The truth is, Joanna has a very bad attitude as she was always looking down on other designers that worked in the same department.
She never missed the opportunity to humiliate them and remind them that she was a part of the company there was nothing any of them could do, after all, she is the granddaughter of the chairman.
Walking into the space, the crowd dared to stand around anymore as they all scattered into different directions finding their way back to their workstation, each of them dispersed without looking back anymore.
Soon after, Bethany was the only one left standing there like a lone man.
Joanna walked up to her with a sullen expression. As soon as she was standing face to her, she pouted her like and ordered arrogantly.“Come with me now”.
After saying that, she made to swerve around when she suddenly heard the reply that the woman gave her.
“I'm sorry, Miss Meyer. But I still have other work that needs my attention urgently”.Bethany replied with a gentle and respectful tone. Then she smiled and patted the folder in her hand.
Hearing this, Joanna turned back to look at the woman.
Bethany didn't want to have anything to do with Joanna as she was not the real reason why she came to the company in the first place, so she wanted to focus to get more information about the Oceania project and making impressive drafts that would blow up Zayn's mind, and if that happens she won't have much difficulty in penetrating the scene while working underneath.

Joanna feel humiliated as she raised her brows and said.“I have to see what kind of work you're busy with”.
She hurriedly snatched the folder of documents that Bethany was holding, and flung it open.
When her eyes caught the content of the document, her lips twitched as she read through it, her face instantly became monstrous.
When she saw the label on the folder she was flabbergasted.
She pouted her like and asked annoyingly.“Zayn gave the Oceania project to you?”.
Joanna's eyes were red with anger and hatred as the blood in her blood suddenly froze.
She had learned about the project from the manager sometime back, and she had her heart set on it.–She wanted to be the chief designer for the Oceania project at any cost.
Initially, she thought it won't be hard for her to obtain it since she was also a part of the family; she had every right to take charge of whatever projects she wants but she had never imagined that Zayn would disregard her desires and go ahead to give the project out to a nobody.
What would other people say when she about this matter? She would be humiliated, right?.
She had told Zayn about this project before and even informed him that she wanted to take charge of it but he had disagreed and told her plainly that he had hired an external designer to take charge.
But she thought he would change his mind about this, but he indeed hire the designer and it turned out to be Bethany.
A Nobody with no skills at all!.
She wasn't going to let this matter slide at all as she was going to ask him for explanations on why she's not the one in Bethany's Place.
Joanna dipped her long nails into the palm of her hand and glared at Bethany maliciously. Then, she flung the folder on the floor and made to leave for the President's office when she remembered the document–she picked it up and tottered toward the office in anger.
Bethany just watched silently as she left in hurry; she wasn't to get involved with this.
Upon reaching the door of the office, just as she was about to push the door, she heard a conversation coming from inside the office that was slightly left ajar which made her halt in her tracks.
“President Meyer, I have investigated the woman who had saved you that day”.

Joanna's stopped subconsciously as she tried to open the door before. she inexplicably tried to place her mind on the woman that they are talking about, at least this piece of news will become a weapon for her.
Inside the office, Zayn flipped through the document that was placed on top of his desk as he glanced.
Gael cleared his throat as he explained.
“Her name is Bethany Quest. she was born here in Bay City but due to some certain issues, she went abroad and only came back a few months ago. Also, it was an accident that she had pumped into you that day”.
He explained in a gentle voice while glancing at Zayn to capture his reactions.
Joanna was shocked to hear this, So Bethany had indeed come into contact with Zayn before.
That's not even the case, why would Zayn be interested in looking up at her background if she was just a chief designer just for the Oceania project?.
She didn't expect that Zayn would have contact with the woman previously and now that he does, what so special about her?”.
In the afternoon, after Bethany had finished her work, she raised her waist to look at her watch then she saw that it was already 5 pm, she quickly packed up her things as she was headed to the Deluxe company. She left the company in hurry after packing up.
By this time, Erica must have been through with work at the company, so she needed to make a move now.
As soon as she arrived in a cab close to the company, she stayed in the car without alighting for a couple of minutes.
She took out her phone while looking toward the direction of the company, she saw that Erica and Jenna were busy playing around, she was chasing Jenna around while the latter laughed hysterically.
Hearing her phone rang, Erica quickly stopped playing as she went ahead to pick up the call.
“Hello, girl! how was your first day at the company? was it nice? did you have fun or did you get into a romantic scene with the hero?” Erica asked licking her lips seductively while her hand was fondling with her hair strands.
Agitated. Bethany yelled out in frustration as she was angry that Erica could be such a full blow.“What's wrong with you right now? I don't have time for your nonsense. I called to inform you that I would be going over to the condominium, so you should come too after work”.
With that, she ended the call and signal the driver to move ahead.
With her back relaxed against the car, the car slammed into the motion.

After a twenty minutes drive, she arrived at the condominium. She came down and pay off the driver, immediately after that she walked toward the door of her condominium and used the spare keys she had with her to open the door.
Immediately, the door was opened she walked straight to the kitchen to drop the bags of groceries she came with. Then, she went over to the sink to wash her hands.
She was a cleanliness freak as she hated the sight of dirt around the house.
When she back to the living room, she instantly dropped her bag on the coffee table and went over to her room to bring out her laptop.
As she was switching on, her phone suddenly vibrated, looking at the screen a look of recognition crept onto her face and picked up the call immediately.
“Tell me what have you found out?” She asked in a cold, professional tone.
“I just found that Miss Medina and Ms. Samantha have come up with an election to determine the next board of directors as one of the directors has decided to sell off his shares and leave the company. Thinking of this, they have decided to sell it off and use the money attained to invest in her fashion show”
Bethany curved her lips into a thin smile as she listen to this, this is great indeed!.
After a while, she pursed her lips and asked.“Do you know when and the exact time they've planned to sell this?.
“Yes, we still have about three to four months to make a move as they seem not to be in hurry to sell-off. I guess they want to sabotage the company and claim that the money went into the damage control effect”.
“Interesting. You should focus more on getting more board directors to sell off their shares and promised them a place in the Deluxe company instead.”.
“Okay, I understand miss. I'll do just that”.
“Okay, you should keep updated about the developments and don't forget to be careful out there. Danica and Samantha are extremely sneaky, don't get caught by them, otherwise it will be hard to get out”.
“Okay, I understand miss”.
With that, she dropped the call and hit the back of the cell phone on her palm as she thought of something.
“What else did he find out now?” Erica asked, opening the door.
she had overheard the conversation between Bethany and the person that called.
The call was from Josh, her right-hand man. who is currently undercover in the Medina Group
Hearing her question, Bethany raised her brows to look up at her with a gentle smile.
seeing the scene, Jenna hopped up as she rush over to Bethany and gave her a warm hug.
“Mommy!” She was excited as she plunge herself into Bethany's embrace. The latter was shocked by this gesture as she didn't expect that Jenna would be so sweet to her after staying angry with her for over a month.
She was caught off guard as she raised her hands. she quickly recomposed herself and hugged the little girl close to herself while squinting her eyes at Erica.
Looking up at Erica, she couldn't understand why the little girl seemed extra sweet today. she thought that Erica had brought something that made her happy so she was inquiring about this.
“I didn't do anything to her” Erica shrugged her shoulders in denial.
“Thank you so much, mommy!”.
