Bethany watched until Ms. Sue disappeared out of sight. When she was sure that she wasn't close by anymore, she stood up from the chair and went over to close the door very well.
She slammed the door gently and lean on the door while looking around for something.
Immediately her gaze fell on the object that she has been looking for, she quickly hovered as she staggered toward the bed while trying so hard not to put pressure on her injured leg.
Before she could reach the phone lying on the bed, she heard the phone ringing from a distance. Due to this, she rushed over and picked it up.
“Ma'am, are you alright? Were you hurt badly? I was so worried about you, and I'm still very much worried. Can you tell me where you are? I'll come around to pick you up”.
Jacob sounded very worried. His voice was laced with fear.
“Did you manage to catch them? ” Bethany asked in a cold voice, interrupting his haranguing.
She seems like she didn't care about the fact that she was hurt or even the fact that she made Jacob and others worried.
“Wh- what? I mean yes, I managed to get hold of one of them. We are keeping him locked up at the new warehouse” Jacob replied the moment he got a hint of what she had asked.
“You should make him spill the beans as soon as you can. I want to know who has dared to lay an ambush on me. I want them to visit hell for a day” Bethany said in a firm tone as the expression on her face darkened with each word that came out of her mouth.
The look of disdain on her face shows how spiteful she was at this moment.
“We are working on it, Miss Burnett. We've tortured him so much but he has continued to maintain a closed mouth. He has refused to say anything about the mastermind”.
“You should put more effort, or you should leave it to me, I'll come around very soon to handle him as he should be handled. It seems like you are getting weaker at your job these days, don't let your emotions get the better of you” Bethany said in a cold voice while wearing a stony expression.
“But Miss Burnett, you are not feeling too well. You should take a rest for now. I'll handle things"
“Are you arguing with me now? I told you to keep a toe on your emotions. Don't make me repeat myself, send the address right now” Bethany ordered through gritted teeth. The expression on her face was quite clear that she was disgruntled by how Jacob had put up an argument with her.
No one has ever dared to put up such an argument with her whenever she dishes out her order, but Jacob went overboard today. She was only calm today because Jacob was an acquaintance.
“It alright, Miss Burnett, I'll make the arrangement. Please look after yourself at this time” He said in a cool voice. he sounded dejected like he has been defeated in a fight for justice.

With that, she ended the call. Then, she walked over to the bed to have a proper look at the room.
The room was way different from the other room she had spent the night in.
This room looks like it has always been in us. However, the decorations in this room didn't seem like it has changed at all.
Just then, her eyes fell on the photo frame at the side of the head of the bed. Upon laying her eyes on it she was so curious to know who was in the photo frame.
With a curious expression, she walked over to the bed, drop her phone on it before proceeding toward the frame.
Picking it up, she turns the face toward her to have a look since it was facing down before.
Immediately, the expression on her face became difficult as it has become so hard to decipher what was going through her mind at this time.
The conflicted expression on her face deepened at each passing second, and her brows immediately knitted into an ugly frown.

Bethany cursed while glaring ferociously at the photo frame in her hand. It was a huge photo of Giselle.

After saying that, she dropped the frame the same way she had met it. Then, she went to the bed and turned off the rights.
It felt strange in this room as she lay down to sleep.
The next day when she woke up after a restless night, Ms. Sue was the first person to come over to her room to help her. However, she dismissed her because she was fit to caretake of herself then.
“Good morning, lady Bethany. I can see you are improving now. I guess you might not need the doctor to give you an injection or even drugs. Isn't that wonderful?” She teased upon laying her eyes on Bethany.
“Good morning, Ms. Sue , I don't need the attention of a doctor anymore. Moreover, I would be returning home later” She said as she stood up from the bed.
“Oh that, it's fine. I can come to visit you sometimes. Leave that aside now, tell me should I help you take a bath? ” She immediately changed the topic when she heard that she was planning to leave.
“You don't have to bother about that anymore, Miss Sue, I can take a bath myself. You should go ahead first, I'll come down after taking a bath” Bethany urged.
“Are you sure about this? You don't look too well to me, you should allow me to do this for you” Ms. Sue seems adamant as she wanted to help her out so that she would put so much pressure on her groggy body.
“Don't you worry, I've got this?” She said with a serious voice while wearing a sneaky smile.
“If you say so, then I'll leave first. Come down after having a bath”
Ms. Sue said as she made to leave, she walked toward the door before looking back at Bethany with a concerned expression. She looked very disturbed–from the look of things, it seems like she was indeed very worried about Bethany.
Bethany smiled involuntarily at her when they accidentally locked eyes while she was having a good look at her before stepping out.
Bethany finally heaved a sigh of relief when she was out of sight.
When she finally came down after taking a shower, she still did not see Mr. Meyer. However, she had already had this experience yesterday, so she did not panic today. Ms. Sue was still taking care of her.
She was bored at home, remembering that she had not told her assistant and best friend about leaving the accident yet. So she asked Ms. Sue to find her phone and called the assistant. When the assistant received Bethany's call, he was about to go crazy. She had disappeared without informing anyone in the agency.
When he learned that she was in an accident, he rushed to the hospital to look for her. Upon getting there, he asked the doctors and nurses
on duty at the hospital, none of them knew when a person named Bethany was brought into the hospital. When they checked the video, nothing could be found. He went to go to the police, but the police station did not accept it. Even if the assistant's power pressured them, the police would not take action at all.
The assistant had thought that Bethany's disappearance was a conspiracy. He inquired for a moment before he went back to the community to look around once again.
After a while, he concluded that Zayn might have had a hand in Bethany's disappearance since he knew about the grudge between the two of them along with Danica.
So he was sure that it was related to Zayn. While he was about to see Zayn and confront him, he suddenly received a call from Bethany. Jeffery did not care to hide his consideration of Bethany.
He asked anxiously, "Bethany, are you alright? Where are you now? Are you in danger?" Bethany was stunned to hear Jeffrey asking about her safety. However, she was not someone who did not know what was good or bad. She knew that Jeffrey was concerned about her. So she smiled and said, "I'm fine."
“You still have injuries on your body. Where have you been? You give me the address, and I'll come over to pick you up now." Jeffrey asked her. He wanted to put Bethany under his protection. He had already lost her once and did not want to lose her again."I'm okay. I'm staying at a friend's house right now. Don't worry about me." Bethany was going to continue to investigate the matters so she didn't want any hurdles.
"It's okay." Bethany replied firmly to Jeffrey, "I'll call you this time to tell you that I'm safe and let you know that I'm fine. I'll fix the design as soon as possible. Please do not distribute it to someone until I give the order. I will let you know when you should give out the details. "
