It wasn't long before Ella came over. She looked a little distressed.“Bethany, do you have any paper left?”. She asked while wearing a gloomy expression–it seems like her mood was soiled.
“Yes,” Bethany quickly handed over the box of paper to her.
“Thanks” Ella quickly pulled out a few sheets and ran toward the front door.
Bethany looked at her disappearing back and shook her head at her hurried expression. She couldn't under why she was in such a foul mood this morning. However, she wasn't in the right to ask her any question, so she decided to focus on her main reason. Then, she picked up a few designs that she had drawn and went over to the printer to have them scanned.
As soon as she finished scanning them, she returned to her seat, just then Ella returned, but she looked extremely pale.
The looks on her face were worrisome.
Bethany was startled by her terrible sight, so she hurriedly put down her designs and ran over to help her sit down,“ Ella, are you alright? Are you feeling unwell?”. Bethany asked with a tone filled with concerns.
Ella took a glance at the designs on the table, then quickly looked away and smiled sheepishly.“I probably ate something that I shouldn't have and now my stomach hurts so much. It didn't help even after I had gone to the toilet ”. Ella said with a sad tone, her voice was filled with pain.
“Why don't I take you to the infirmary to get some medicines?” Bethany suggested.
Ella waved her hands in dismay, “No, no, no! there is no need. I can't walk because of the pain. Why don't go and get it for me?”.
“Okay, you should seat over here and wait for me, alright?”
Upon seeing how hurt she was, Bethany was moved to help her out. she went to the water dispenser to fetch a cup of warm water for her before leaving for the infirmary
Looking at Bethany's disappearing back, a trace of regret soon appeared in Ella's warm eyes. However, soon after, it was replaced by determination.
Fifteen minutes later, Bethany returned to the main office with a bag of medicine in her hands, and Ella was sprawled over the table with an apprehensive look on her face.
Seeing her distressful sight, Bethany hurriedly pour out some medicines and gave them to her.
Ella took the pills but still cried in pain afterward
“No, this medicine seems to be useless. I think I should go ask Miss. Joanna for half a day off to go back and rest.
With that, she held her stomach and leaped toward Joanna's office in pain.
Bethany watched until she left and didn't return until the next day.
It looks like she was indeed very sick.
Bethany thought as she looked at her empty seat.
