Meanwhile, Danica got back to her room when her phone suddenly rang.
She was so eager about the call as she thought it was a call from Jane.
Her expression crushed down when she saw the identity of the caller, she reluctantly picked up the call.
“Hello, Aunt Cecilia?”
“Hell I Danica, How are you doing and where is my grandson? When are you planning to bring him back home to me?” She asked is patent.
Hearing her questions, Danica was offended as she crushed her face in disgust before putting on a good show. She immediately changed the tone of her voice and said, “Mom, Jordan is doing just fine. We are still busy with the vacation, we'll come back before the week runs out”.
Hearing this, lady Cecilia lost her cool as she wasn't expecting Danica to use such a tone with her.
“Vacation? What kind of vacation takes so long? Why didn't you take him to someone close by where I can come to visit him at all times? I don't care about your vacation, I just want to see my grandchild” She said in a disgruntled tone.
Danica felt defeated upon hearing what the woman said.
she has indeed never cared about me. she's all about this silly child and not my dreams.
She heaved a sigh with a feigned smile on her face, and said: “I know you miss Jordan so much, so I have decided to come back home by Sunday. Don't worry mom, we'll be home even before you know it”.
“You better do that” She replied in a contemptuous tone.
Without waiting for the young woman to say any other thing, lady Cecilia ended the call abruptly.
Danica was shocked by this action, Lady Cecilia has always been so good to her and suddenly she's acting is weird all of a sudden?.
“One thing is very clear to me now, she never cared about me. She only cares about the child that I have. if she gets her hands on the child, Then, she would me stranding in the world”. She said. “Before that happens, I need to get married to Zayn first. After I'm married to him, I wouldn't need her validation for anything in the future”.
In the past few years, she thought that Zayn didn't care about Giselle at all, however, things got worse after Giselle died because Zayn started ignoring the very sight of her.
When she went looking for Zayn most time he wouldn't pay attention to her. Sometimes, she would bring Jordan along to attract Zayn's attention. However, ignored them and turned a deaf ear to them.
She had thought that Zayn did t have any place for Giselle in his heart as she had given him reasons not to, but she did not think that after she died, she would create a space for herself in Zayn's thoughts and mind.
Danica saw all of this happening in front of her very own eyes, so how could she be able to let things like this slide so easily?
Initially, she thought that Zayn was only feeling remorseful about everything that happened. And that is why he was upset for the first few days. However, as time passes, Zayn stops paying any attention to her not did he care about the child they have together. Because she also detest the child so much as she felt that the child was of no use to her anyway.
She has been thinking about marrying Zay every single day so that she could become the real young madam of the Meyers. However, it has been five years and there have been no changes in their relationship at all.

“If Zayn refuses to take the initiative to marry me, then I will force him to take the necessary steps. He would be left with no choice when I'm finally done with him” She said with a smirk at the corner of her lips.
Immediately, she picked up and dialed a saved contact on her phone.
“Do not dare forget what I asked you to do for me”
With that, she ended the call as she wore a victorious smirk on her lips with her gaze knotting into a dangerous expression.
“As for you mother, I'll have no use for you once I got married to your son. I know you love me a lot, but I won't allow you to make me look like a puppet that has to dance to your taunts and drums. You should mark my words for future reference, that might help”
“I'm full, thank you nanny Sue. I enjoyed the meal” Bethany exclaimed with a smile on her face immediately she finished with her dinner.
Ms. Sue came over to pack up the plate.
“I can see that you really enjoyed the young master's cooking. Moreover, you shouldn't be thanking me, you should thank him instead. He deserves all the credits”.
Hearing this, Bethany suddenly plummeted into a mixture of emotions as she couldn't get her eyes off of the rib congee in front of her–There was a time that she had liked eating them but now she doesn't only hate them so much but she also detest it to the brim, and it's all because of Zayn and Danica.
Her mind was so lost in thought that she didn't realize that Ms. Sue has been staring at her intently for a while now.
“Are you thinking of going back home? Do you not like it here? ” She suddenly broke the sullen atmosphere with her questions.
Bethany immediately jerked back to reality upon hearing this, she quickly feigned a smile.
“Not that's not the case, Ms. Sue, I'm just so tired. Can you please bring me to my room? I need to get some rest now”.
“Of course, let me get the medicine for you first ” She ran around and came back with the drugs.
“Thank you,” Bethany said as she extend her hand to collect the pack of medicine and water.
She quickly swallowed the drugs while wearing a crushed expression.–She was never a huge fan of medicine, so she rarely take one.
“It seems you don't like medicines as well. My Giselle used to detest taking drugs as well, she would create a fuss whiner I asked her to take drugs”
“Oh! is that so?. Please help me up to the room now, I would like to get some rest now”
“I'm so sorry, I almost forgot while talking about Giselle ” The tone of her voice was filled with love, and Bethany couldn't help but feel affected by this.
She didn't want to feel weak because of her not does she want her to be the cause of any mishap.
“Thank you for taking care of me today, Ms. Sue, I don't know how I can pay you back for this”. Bethany said after Ms. Sue helped her sit up on the bed immediately they arrived at the guest.
“You do not have to thank me for anything, I did what I was supposed to do, after all, it was my duty to take care of you” She replied while smiling innocently.
Seeing this, Bethany felt the surge of anger in her chest growing even bigger as she felt helpless in the phase of a mother's love like this–She had always thought that her grandparents were the only ones who loved her all this while, now she's surprised to know that Ms. Sue is among the few people who have always loved and cared about her.
“Even if you were asked to look after me the entire time, I still want to thank you for looking after me so well. Because of your help, I'm feeling very much better and I can even go back home tomorrow. I feel stronger now” She ascertain using her hands.
“You're going back home tomorrow? Are you sure about this?”
Bethany nodded.
“Okay, I'll let the young master know about it when he wakes up”.
“No, don't tell him about it. I would like to personally discuss this with him. However, thank you for your help today”
“It's alright, Lady Bethany. I'll br heading out now. Please have a good night”
With that, she left the room and slammed the door gently behind her as she took one last look at Bethany.
Bethany smiled solemnly at her as she accidentally locked eyes with her in the heat of the moment.
Seeing the look of concern in her eyes, Bethany felt her heart getting thrilled.
