“Oh!, I'm so sorry for that. I didn't mean to hug you like that just now” Danica apologized when she realized that her impromptu act could cause her the entire deal.
“What are you going on about, Miss Medina, I know how happy you are about this, so you don't have to apologize to me for everything that goes wrong, you know?”.She disengaged from the hug.“You should have the details of the fashion show sent to my assistant, and also you should get the material for the designs sent over to my company when you return to the country”.
“I don't have any material prepared beforehand. I thought you can choose the best material for the designers by yourself. What do you think about that?.
“Oh! We have so many great materials that you can choose from. They come in different qualities, I can assure you that you'll get the best material for the fashion show. I don't even have to come up with things to convince you about this”.
“Can I come to your company for the planning process? I've already set up an appointment with your secretary ".
“Sure, I'll be waiting for you at the company then.” She looked at the wristwatch on her hand and her face was instantly crushed. Then, she stood up and looked back at Danica.
“I'm sorry for this, but I have to come back first. it's almost time for my next meeting. It's an important one, so I have to leave now”
With that, she went over to where Jenna was seated along with Jordan.
“Baby, it's time to go back to the room. Mummy has an important meeting to attend to now”
Jenna reluctantly stood up from her seat and came over to her side as she looked back at Jordan with an expectant gaze.
“Say your goodbyes now, you'll get to see him around once again, so you should stop pouting right now since that won't get you anything ”
“Fine, you are just like your best friend anyway.” Jenna hopped around with her hands wrapped around her chest as she turned to face Jordan.“I'll see you around, Jordan”.
“Goodbye, Jenna, I'll miss you”.
With that, Erica led Jenna out of the area and walked out through the exit door.
Immediately, they left. Danica waved at the assistant to being Jordan over as they also left the place in large strides with Danica walking ahead and the rest of them running after her Like a mother hen running after an eagle.

Bethany had just returned home from the company. She was sitting on the couch in the living room when her phone suddenly rang out.
She left a small smile on her lips when she saw the caller ID, it's been over ten hours since she has spoken to Erica and Jenna–seeing her call just now made her day better as she imagined the news that Erica must have hoarded away for her.
“Hey Miss Burnett, are you up to something?” Erica asked.
“Quit talking nonsense, Erica. Tell me what the latest updates are. Have you come face to face with that woman yet?”
Bethany asked in a cold voice.
“Well, you won't believe this, but that woman is more dangerous than we've ever imagined”.
“Stop going through the bushes and tell me what the matters are already”.
“Why are you always so serious, Bethany? Can't you be free and happy for even a minute? I feel like a villain in your lonely life. Well, I came face to face with that woman just some hours ago, I can't believe she used her son as a clickbait to get close to me. She risked his life. Allowing him to roam around the place all alone while pretending to search for him amongst the crowd. It was such heart wreaking sight I tell you, Bethany”.
“Saving the child was your duty but keeping him in your heart like this isn't the right thought you should possess. I need you to strike the deal with her as soon as possible. We don't have much time to waste, so hurry up now”.
“Don't worry about anything, She's right in my clutches. And she has already fallen into her trap so we don't have to do much to make her sign in.”.
“That's good, I should have the secretary make arrangements for the next meeting between the two of you as soon as possible. How about Jenna, where is she?”. She asked after a while when she noticed that the little girl hadn't interrupted the conversation yet.
“Your daughter is very angry with me since I didn't let her stay back with the woman's son So, she has refused to even speak to me” Erica replied with a helpless sigh as she looked back at Jenna, who was busy on her lap and didn't seem to care about what she was on about.
“Jenna seems to have grown overly closed to the little boy and they seem to be very inseparable now. When did they grow so close ” Erica was confused.
“Well, you shouldn't worry about the closeness between the two of them. Instead of worrying, you should be happy about this. After all, you won't have any difficulty with them being a hurdle to us”.
“I don't seem to understand what you are trying to say Bethany? Why do you consider everything business?”.
“I'm simply warning you to leave the kids alone,” Bethany said in a firm voice.
“Fine, you don't have to sound mad like that. I should prepare for the meeting with the company now. I have a zoom meeting with the investors today. Talk to you later. love you!” Erica hurriedly disconnects the call.
“You should.......” Bethany was about to say something else when she noticed that the connection has been cut off.
“She's always acting rash,” Bethany murmured as she took the phone away from her ear.
Just as she was about to drop her phone on the table, she noticed that the screen has lit up again. Then she saw a name displayed on the screen.
She picked up the call and stood up from the couch as she walked over to the window.
“Yes. I should come to the stores right now? It's already too late to come back at this time”.
“You shouldn't worry about this matter as everything will be handled but the boss needs you at the sunshade”.
“If it's urgent, then I'll be there in half an hour. ”
“Please hurry up already” The caller urged.
Bethany looked at the screen once more after the call had come to an end, her mind roamed around wondering why the sudden change.
She stood up from the couch and quickly took her bag along with her as she ran out of the living room in hurry.
“You can't make me leave you helpless like this”.
Immediately she got to the main road, she hailed down a cab.
Meanwhile, Danica just got back to her hotel room with Jane and the child coming behind her.
When she got into the room and noticed that Jane has also brought the child to her room, she became furious as she turned around in rage.
“What do you think you are doing right now, how hard do you bring this little brat into my room? Do you want me to have you fired?”.
“But ma'am Danica, I thought you might be interested in having your son sleepover with you tonight so I decided to bring him over to you. I didn't know that you would get angry like this”.
“Do I have to write the words on plain paper before you obey me? I don't understand why you act like a fool most times. I'm is so tired of having to keep an assistant as silly as you are in my closet” She scolded angrily as she moved over to the closet.“And as for you, what do you think you were doing with that little brat from earlier? Why were you so cozy with her? Are you trying to gang up against me?” Danica asked as she came close to where he was and pinched his ear tightly.
Jordan wallow in pain while still trying to avoid crying out of pain–he was afraid that his mother might get angrier with him if he let out a cry.
Jane was terrified seeing the sight before her and she couldn't help but rush over to help out the little boy.
“Miss Medina, you are hurting the little boy. it's hurting him, please stop it”
Jane hurriedly rushed over and took the child away from her grip . She hid the child behind him and shielded him with her lean body.
Danica was speechless.
Her mouth was left hanging in the air as her eyes were glued on the face of the young woman who had dared to challenge her like this.
Nobody has had the audacity to go against her like her but this woman has the guts to stood before her with an aggressive expression.
“How dare you? How dare you challenge me like that right under my reservation. Who the hell are you to tell me what I'm supposed to do with my own child? Will you teach me how to handle my child?”.
Danica shrieked out with the veins on her forehead almost popping out as she screamed at the top of her voice.
“I don't remember you being my mother or mother-in-law, so who gave you the right to stand between the two of us?”.
“I'm so sorry miss Medina, I didn't mean to disobey you like that but you were hurting him for no reason, and I couldn't stand around and watch you do so”
“So, you couldn't stand around and watch me scold my child, is that it? I thought you were fit for this job since you have the same name as my assistant, I never imagined that you were going to be a huge thorn under my skin.”.
“Don't you worry, Miss Medina, I'm very fit for the job and I'm not being a thorn in your flesh. I was just trying........”
“Enough of your nonsense. I've had enough of you already, don't you ever think that you have the right to interfere in my business, and one more thing, I'll arrange to have you transferred as soon as we get back to the country. You are nothing but a bag of trouble”.
Upon hearing this , Jane instantly fell down to the floor as she pleaded with her.
“Please ma'am Danica , you don't have to fire me like this. I'm a really good assistant ”.
“What did you just say? You are a good assistant? Why do I even spare so much time....”
