When she had finished her conversation with the caller, she quickly tap the call from Erica and it soon resumed running.
As Erica's loud voice rang out, “What is so important that you put me on hold for over an hour, Bethany ?” Erica asked sounding as though she was angry.
Hearing this, Bethany didn't bother giving her an answer as she proceeded to drop the bombshell.
“Your target is soon to be on her way to the Maldives,” She said in an icy tone as her eyes lit up with anger.
“What?” Erica exclaimed. she couldn't believe it when she heard what Bethany said“What the hell is she up to, Bethany? Why would she come searching for me at the Maldives?”.
“What do you not understand about all of these, She's so desperate to win the show and that would only be possible if you help her out with her costumes, remember? And not only that, she has to regain her reputation as the best model in Orange City and for that to happen, she needs a fantastic designer like yourself ”. Bethany explained in a gentle voice.
“How the earth did she think that I would be willing to meet up with her at this time? She must be delusional to have thought so”.
“She didn't think, instead she made plans to make that happen using her young son to accomplish this. Just don't pay much attention to her wrongdoings and focus on making her show a success”.
“She isn't just a worthless person, but a useless mother as well. I can't believe she is using her child for her selfish gains”.

“Miss, you didn't tell me where to take you ” The driver suddenly asked after waiting a while and Bethany had not said anything about her location.
Curious, Erica asked.“Are you going somewhere? Where are you going just now”.
Bethany ignored her question as she looked at the driver and said, “Just go to the Sun spring departmental store”. She instructed.
“What are you doing, Bethany? Why are you going off to the department store, and isn't Sun spring under the Medinas? Why are you going over there? Don't tell me you're going to cause a ruckus”.
“Quit acting like a kid, alright? I'm just going over there for shopping. Why would you even think that I would cause an uproar in a place like that when I can do what I'm best known for?”.
Erica headed a sigh as she closed her eyes tightly in appreciation.
“Am I so irrelevant that Miss Burnett has refused to ask after me like others?”
Bethany heard a loud, eerie voice from the other side of the phone. the voice was hoarse but sweet, and Bethany quickly adjusted her tone as she was fully aware of the fact that the little girl might be angry with her.
First of all, she denounced being her mother for the time being. Also, she sent her off to the Maldives.
Although she had asked after her before when she was in a phone conversation with Erica, the little girl might not have known about it since she was fast asleep.
“Why would I even dare to forget a relevant queen like you, princess?”.
“You can't fool me with your words, Miss Burnett. I know you very well, you've got time to look after me, so you must be very happy that I'm far away from you now. mommy Erica is doing a better job than you anyway”. Jenna said in a sarcastic tone.
Bethany felt her heart well up with pain.“Forget all of that, now tell me what do you have planned for the morning? will you go shopping or boat ride?”.
“Hmmm, I have no idea yet. Godmother, can't we have the rides at the beach? We should go to the beach in the morning and have fun, shall we? ”.
“That sounds like a good idea. We should go and have fun at the beach, who knows we might meet new friends there at the beach. Isn't that so?”
“Of course, yes” Jenna replied, as she tried to make Bethany feel bad.
“Then, be a good girl and go take a bath now. After that, we'll go downstairs for dinner”.
After Erica said, Jenna quickly handed over the mobile phone and ran off into the bathroom.
Erica took the phone and landed against the door, she lowered her voice and said in a comforting voice.“Don't worry about her, Bethany. She seems to be in a bad mood right now, I'm sure she'll come around soon enough. And don't take whatever she says to heart. Do I even have to tell you about this matter? You already know how your daughter is, right? ”
“It's all my fault that she resents me so much now. What kind of a mother gives her daughter out, and goes away for revenge takes? Am I not a bad mother? I deserve whatever she said to me”.
“Hey, you shouldn't say that about yourself, Bethany. I'm sure, she'll understand why you're doing this when the time comes. Jenna is a smart kid, you know”.
“Not only did I neglect her, but I also dragged her into this mess”.
“It's fine. stop rebuking yourself already”.
“I wanted to inform you that Danica and her son would be staying at your hotel, so be careful around her. ”
“Oh, that sneaky witch knows the game of fame like this lines if her palms ” Erica commented.
“It's not a new one for her. She has always been a sneaky one, so you shouldn't be surprised when she tries to pull a fast one in you and because of that I implore you to keep your eyes opened at all times”.
“Of course, I wouldn't let her best me in my games, right?”.
“Ma'am, we are here at the department store. Should I stop right here ?” The driver soon announced.
They have been talking on the phone for so long that she didn't realize that they've spent so much time on the road.
“Just stop the car right there”
she pointed in a direction, and the driver looked toward the spot and parked the car.
Bethany got sown from the car and paid the driver.
“You should keep the change”.
“Thank you, Miss. You're so kind”.
Bethany walked away after paying but heard the driver telling her that she was kind. Bethany couldn't help but laugh at her miseries dejectedly.

Just then, she remembered that she was still on the phone with Erica.
“Erica, I got to go now. I'm here at the Sun spring stores ”.
“Oh! is that so? You should pay attention. then”.
Immediately after that Bethany ended the call as she was now faced with her new reality.

Standing in front of this luxurious convenience store-bought back old memories that she couldn't help but hide behind the fake smile on her face–back then when she was coming of age, her grandfather always took her here and told her stories of how her parents had suffered to build each segment of the company.
It was a very sad story, knowing how much they suffered to build everything from scratch, but they never got the chance to enjoy what they labored for as they died in an accident after the inauguration party.
Although the police had claimed that the accident was a result of brake failure –Bethany knew that it wasn't the case at all.
Even back then, Samantha had cried so much that her eyes were puffy for so many days. She even neglected Danica to take care of Giselle instead.
It was such an adorable sight to behold. But now, it's disgusting.
She pretended to be a good and noble person in front of others and even took up the responsibility of raising Giselle with the help of old Mrs. Medina.

Bethany looks up at bright lights coming from the store and she a surge of emotion gushing through her heart. Soon enough, tears soon start to well up in her eyes but she held them back and stopped them from falling off.
I won't be the one to cry again. those people who took you and everything away from me will pay with the last drop of blood in their veins. I'll make suffer so much that they'll pray for death, and I'll not heed to these requests of theirs.
With these thoughts in mind, Bethany raised her chin and maintained her elegant composure as she took her steps toward the store in her high heels.

The flight to the Maldives was scheduled for the night as there was not enough time to book another or wait for the next day's flight, so Danica decided to make do with the available flight.
They soon arrived at the airport with Jane pushing the luggage and dragging them along with her, after the driver had them dropped at the entrance. While Danica simply walked aged without trying to help her out with the luggage neither did she help out with the little boy that was constantly being dragged by Jane as well.
Danica ignored the gloomy expression on the face of the young woman as she kept making several calls on their way to the waiting room.
When she turned back and saw that Jane was frowning, she shot her a glare before saying in a cold voice “What? Are you tired already? Should I help you out with the luggage?” She asked in a pungent voice while keeping her cool.
Hearing this, Jane quickly nodded her head to decline her offer then she wore a fake smile to conceal her discontentment.
“No Ma'am, I'm fine. We should hurry up, it's almost time to board the plane” She urged as she looked around the place.
When Danica heard this, she was alerted as well, then she turned back and look toward the boarding pass. She noticed that people were beginning to disperse one after the other, so she grudgingly went back to Jane and took some of the luggage from her.
“Hurry up now, you don't have any more excuses, alright” She ordered authoritatively as she walked ahead.
Jane didn't say anything but she felt happy with her burdens being lessened.
She took a look at the child beside her but he was long gone, standing right ahead of her close to Danica, who looked irritated.
